Anyone know what's going on with the console versions of Initial D? It's been quite a while since IDAS5 came out and I haven't been able to find a single thing regarding any possibility of a port coming out, or even something stating it won't be coming out.

Does anyone have any news? I just picked up IDES (very late to the game I know) and whew.. it's amazing! I loved version 3 but to me, this felt like a step up in the Initial D franchise. Yeah.. lots say otherwise but without v4 there'd be no v5! smile.gif

Anyhow if anyone is interested in IDES people are still playing online ranked matches. Last night I signed on randomly and played two ranked matches without taking much time looking for them. So it's definitely still being played. Also, if anyone is interested in hitting me up my PSN is evildude88. I suck, but I am getting better.

Is it worth spending the $$$ for the game or should I wait for IDES2?

Is there a 2nd one coming? Its an enjoyable game and everything, but gets a tad boring after beating everyone.

Of course there has to be a second one coming. There are always improvements to be made. I heard that the physics in this one is pretty bad.

I've just started playing IDES last night for abit. Been a year since i last played it, thought have a change of pace after spending hours on the GT5 TA Competition. So hard getting a decent time in the top 10% in that, i came 873rd out of like 4000+ players around Aus and NZ and was only 3 secs off.

I hope it'll come out soon for xbox 360 too (yeah I know, it's impossible but who knows?), also, time ago sega announced an Initial D videogame for nintendo DS and a few pics were shown, but since then no additional words were said about this title.. I hope they'll reconsider it 'cause DS has an huge diffusion, a lot larger than ps3 and psp..

ID on ds doesn't sound that great...
PSP on the other hand has hopes but I rather sega make Initial D games on PS3s so they can focus on larger storage spaces on the bluray discs for graphics and more gameplay features

I would definitely be interested in IDAS5 on PS3. In fact I've contemplated buying a PS3 just to play IDES, but people seem quite ... cool towards it compared to the arcade versions. I had Street Stage and I absolutely loved it.
