Just imagine for a second I can get my hands on a IDAS8 cab and import it to a random European country, let's say UK. If I connect the cab to the internet, will the online features will work? Or I need a special Sega server/subscription to make it work? Keep in mind that no European country is officially supported by Sega for IDAS8, nor has seen an official release of the game. Thanks |

You can connect the cab to the internet from the server, But that won't help at all because you still need ALL.NET up and working, and SEGA is not gonna activate your network if you are outside of Japan for JPN version of the game. The EXP(Export) version is currently only supported in China and South-east Asia. It had menus translated to a certain degree. If you want a chance to get a connection in the near future, go for EXP, but don't keep your hopes up, it is unlikely that Europe and the US will get any online support at all. Speaking of which, I find it funny that Sega bothered to translate the credits in EXP (that's quite a bit of text right there) but leave the menus (that has far fewer words) mostly untranslated..... At least the D.NET and D-Coins sections are fully translated and those are kinda important. Still some strange priorities here. This post has been edited by SonicSP on Mar 5 2015, 03:24 AM | ||
