I believe its the "Guide Line" you can use in the B and A tests, Once you go International they disable it, and you turn it on and off by pressing R3

Hope this helps happy.gif

I always thought the best racing line was based on those darker black lines on the tracks before you get to the corners. I could be wrong whistling.gif

Some of the time it is, but that usually depends on the course and other factors (tires, speed, etc) as to weither its better or not

But from the original post i got the message that he's looking for how the game shows you the line, which is done during the tests

Ah, I don't follow the best line, but I guess everyone follows a different line. I guess watching the AI cars helps doesn't it?

The basic.

How to Drive Fast Effectively:

-Always enter very close to the outside of the track

-Get very close to the apex & be sure it's the center of the turn with a very smooth motion without abusing of the traction.

-100% traction at accelerating, you should be near the outside in a perfect turn

-Brake Once & accelerate once. Turn shall be exaggerated & only focus to go forward. Work more in the position of your entry than the apex.

The hardest thing to master is finding the right angle to get the most shortest & most effective way to keep the speed in a corner. It take quite a lot of practice & optimization of the whole run. Downshift late to get the most out of the torque is the way to go.

Common error that are in misunderstood about this way of driving are braking too late & create understeer on the front tires. This must be done very smoothly.

Doing so will get you respectable time overall:

The line you are presented with in the RX-8 test on International A license I can safely tell you is BOGUS!

You follow that and you will barely get bronze at best...
Striking gold is easy if you follow your own instinct and drive it hard with some slight oversteer (Power over) and prioritize acceleration over cornering speed...
