Raising Hell Group: Members Posts: 71 Member No.: 33,366 Joined: Jul 4th 2009 Location: Lorraine | I started a YouTube channel for my Eurobeat project Anthony McBazooka a few weeks ago. I going to upload at least 1 video every week. There will be three series of videos – 1. Eurobeat covers of songs I like (or find interesting as a Eurobeat song), 2. Acoustic covers of Eurobeat classics and of course 3. videos of my original Eurobeat songs. You can find the channel here. These are the videos I made so far:
I will keep this thread updated with the latest videos. Please let me know what you think about the songs. ^_~

I can see the influence of a varying number of styles~ ♪ The vocal structure is very reminiscent of SincalireStyle & Rimonti's unique flair combined~ I Drove All Night has some hella sweet homages to DJ Command's early work on Synth1 too. Pretty awesome stuff McBazooka~san! Can't wait to hear more jammin' beatz~ |

I use the Synth1 very often as one layer when layering different brass sounds (the other sounds mostly come from Thor, Retrologue, Yamaha DX7 and whatever I find to sound good). Well, you have very good ears! |

I think my good ol' keyboard I used to try & play Chopin back in high school with is also a Yama~ I wanna get a Nord A1, but the price is about the same as building a state of the art compy, lol. I'll probably get a Mininova sooner, though they're completely different things on the technical scale. I wanna start playing around with Sylenth and/or maybe Spire and Massive too, gotta get the hang of FL/Ablez prior tho~ xD That sweet synth Synth1 replicates produces the exacr same sound Bratt used on Dejo's earliest most epic'est songs. <3 |

Yes, I own a DX7. But I can't use the internal sounds anymore, something is broken. But I found Dexed as a VST plugin to be a very good solution. It's open source and can read original sound files from the DX7. And you can load multiple instances in your DAW. Even though it's from 1983, no one should say that this synth is outdated. Listen to the winner song of the one synth challenge on KVR: https://sites.google.com/site/kvrosc/osc-74-dexed It's incredible how modern it sounds. And you can create some really badass brass sounds for Eurobeat too.

I couldn't understand much, but I really dig the bridge where you say chacal~ ...and the chorus with nothing but red Out Run brassybeats is just so... nostalgic~ ♫ GJ☆ |

Raising Hell Group: Members Posts: 71 Member No.: 33,366 Joined: Jul 4th 2009 Location: Lorraine | The story behind the song is funny. The song is about the comic series Bob Morane. The singer from the original version, Nicola Sirkis, simply took one of the books and wrote down the titles of the chapters. So there is no deeper meaning behind the song, but every line sounds just damn cool. I mean, it's about adventures and stuff in mystical places with even more mystical enemies and so on. So it's perfect for Eurobeat. When he wrote the lyrics the music has been already composed, so he called his girlfriend and sang the song through the phone and she said something like “You know what? You just wrote a hit song!” And yes, it became a very huge success. When I discovered the band, I didn't understand French but I liked how their songs sound, so I think there is no need to understand the lyrics. @Rain197 You live in Paris and go to school in Valenciennes? That's quite a distance. |

The only problem is that I still haven't got a driving license, so I'm stuck here and I still have some problems speaking French because I live here only since 2014 and was living in Germany all the time before. I'm glad to see that there are other Eurobeat fans in France. This post has been edited by Teh Asphyx on Jan 8 2016, 08:24 AM |

🎧 Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,594 Member No.: 18,005 Joined: May 25th 2006 Location: Canada | I really loved the Eye Of The Tiger remix and the I Drove All Night Remix. Indochine less (not because it's in French, I'm French Canadian for crying out loud). SO, I'd really love to include EotT and IDAN into my yearly non-stop mix in which I'll start producing in March. For that, I would need WAV/AIF exports of those covers. Could you do that? Thanks! (Note: I'm aware that you have a bandcamp with an original album on it and that you also just released it too. I might consider it for the mix if I can find a way to fork 9 euros (that's 13.84$ CAD). I have to prioritize my CD collection rebuilding in all that) |

I remember that you weren't convinced of the ancient versions of my songs before I started the Indiegogo campaign in 2013. I'm glad that I've been able to change that with my newer songs. The critiques in that topic were crucial for me, after reading them I reworked my songs and took my time to learn how to make them sound really eurobeatish. |
