Like he said, the new PS3s can't play ps2 games at all. If you get an old ps3, you still won't be able to play SS. The system is region free, the games for ps3 are. PS2 games are still region coded so you can't play them on any ps3. | ||

IDW Expert Member Group: Members Posts: 147 Member No.: 29,653 Joined: May 27th 2008 Location: World Of Binary | You need to have a japanese region PS3 system, either a 20GB, 60GB, or a earlier 80GB ones that have PS2 Emulation, without it, you cannot boot up the special stage on it. Its better if you still have your PS2 that works multi-region (normally modded ones). |

I agree, the japanese backward compatible PS3s are 600+ dollars, when the non backward compatible japanese PS3s are $350+. I would recommend just buying a modded PS2 and a regular PS3. This post has been edited by VoDkA64 on Feb 14 2009, 04:34 PM | ||
