New thread is here! Post whatever happened to your day in ID5. Flamers will be punished. Just enjoy and lounge around. I'm loving this game (but I still wish they polish it up with a patch or two) |

Hmmm for today ... Fully tuned the looks of my RX-7 Type RS |
Posted by: hahariz Apr 23 2009, 12:39 AM |
Few days ago I went to Mines and saw an old man playing ID5, using a red MRS, nick is OJISAN. I was like WTF? This old man *know* how to play the game. |

Made a card today at Timezone Glorietta 4 . . . everything was going right until I got to the name selection, I think I selected the red button and got this unintelligible Japanese scrawl on my card Chose Okinawa, and plate no. 25-001 for my FC, but now in hot red After Akina Lake on the LotS I shaved some seconds off my Akina DHD . . . sheesh it's like a really slippery BG4 |
Posted by: ?wha? Apr 23 2009, 04:51 AM |
I've pulled up 17 wins so far on my card... used some guy's 5-5-5-5-5 FD on Nagao dhd and pulled 3'28... if I didn't cock up CP 4 it would've been 26-27 for sure.. maybe even lower. Then again I've never used anything BUT a MR2 (and that's really slippery compared to a rock stable FD that I've never touched before) |
Posted by: Heron Apr 23 2009, 05:10 AM |
I think I just slammed into a pretty hard wall... Can't seem to break my TA timings...zzz... |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Apr 23 2009, 05:47 AM |
Picked up an RX-8 for fun. Ran something like a 3'16"2 Akina DHD with it stock. Not used to the 6 gear shifting :/ |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 23 2009, 05:52 AM |
Oh goodie faster FT it =D |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Apr 23 2009, 06:02 AM |
Not so fast on this one O_o |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 23 2009, 06:35 AM |
I guess a week should be ample time =d Dropped by TS before a meeting....17"2 (I think) akina uh using 86 in 3 games...seems like a pretty fun map to play. Feels harder than dh , entry points for gutters seem a lot tighter, but it cud be cos I'm still new at the map though. Alv and Berry were there too o.o |
Posted by: zero-g Apr 23 2009, 07:18 AM |
run an akina DHD jus now, almost beat my 3.17 until i screw up at CP3 and CP4... |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 23 2009, 07:05 PM |
for me, more fun and lots of challenge in ID5... |
Posted by: *j*j* Apr 23 2009, 08:49 PM |
was at MV last nite to checked the cabs even tho the left cab was fixed but the right 1 is still out with the steering prob ... managed to bring down my akagi uhd time to .52.7xx n bought a new car E7 ... still stuck with akina dhd n uhd sighhh > have to reli do some maths on adding up all the CPs ... argggg |
Posted by: Asd Apr 23 2009, 09:09 PM |
damn you guys are all running fast, my akagi down is only 2.58 =/ anyway yesterday i was at Summit USJ, vs J.Y.P & NANO Boost OFF battle, it was fun =P manage to get my win to 22 now ... for akina downhill i always do the CP4 4 hairpin too slow...next time i should make it around 80+ |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 23 2009, 10:21 PM |
Boost off is fun? =.= Always preferred boost on even back during v3 even though it cost me to lose more often that I deserved to. |
Posted by: stormfox Apr 23 2009, 11:24 PM
why not? different kind of fun. Boost Off is high stress... Boost On is very strategy based... but boost off does get boring when both drivers are very and equally fast. cos it becomes like TA runs with little variation.. |
Posted by: Heron Apr 24 2009, 05:42 AM |
It has been boost off battles for me...but only a little battle experience. Zzz... |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 24 2009, 07:17 AM |
I don't think theres much stress for the guy in front (if any), boost on battles were already almost impossible to overtake back in v3 unless one car had a huge advantage over the other. V4 and V5 is so easy to hug the inside line I don't think theres a feasible way to pass, grinding the apex counters high speed ramming by the chaser. Oyeah I dropped by TS for a few games after my meeting at Wisma Central... did a mid '51 akagi uh, a high '16 akina uh and a 3'03"5 happo ib with mah 86. Hey Jason ur happo didn't use the boost izzit, ur cp1 and cp2 and cp3 much faster than mine D= |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 24 2009, 07:38 AM |
had a few games got one more bar on my 86 .. so 7-7-7-1-0 now 2'52'6 akagi dh with mistakes with that had a battle with my friend, found out how easy it is to block on irohazaka while kinda ramming the apex... pity boost was on and he slipped past me at the end T_T |
Posted by: Rei.G Apr 24 2009, 07:39 AM |
me and my bro battle each another on Nagao DH today, with me going semi all-out attack and him using 'tire conservation' method. To see if boost effect exists in CP4 during battling. i managed to lead him by close to 200m throughout the race, but at CP4 his boost came. At the last stretch of road, his speed is so fast that is impossible to block with my car. |
Posted by: Asd Apr 24 2009, 08:06 AM |
bah, i just came back from summit today, some how all my timing had been bad, it felt like somethings wrong with my car after upgrading the ground effects kit... |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Apr 24 2009, 05:31 PM
=S I think so, not clear on how to use the boost for Happo @_@ |
Posted by: strioch Apr 24 2009, 06:08 PM
I thought I am the only one experiencing that My FD feels really slow as in acceleration after purchasing the ground effect kits 3 days ago, but yesterday all my timings are improved. It was so slow at that time, that I reconsider of taking the kits off |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 24 2009, 07:06 PM |
Just brake more for cp1 2 and 3 and concentrate on pure lining o_O I think with Boost u can high 01 leh FD =s |
Posted by: Asd Apr 24 2009, 07:36 PM
well yeah, the only difference was im driving a Skyline R34, all my timings in TA all white, tried to do slow on CP1 & CP2 i still get white on CP3 & CP4.. dang. how did u get it back to normal ? |
Posted by: Benevolence Apr 24 2009, 07:39 PM |
hmm.....anybody already did a good time at nagao DH/UH???this vid is from TATSUevo http://www.youtube.com/my_subscriptions?pi=0&ps=20&sf=added&sa=0&sq=&dm=2&s=J58OlkCjj4I# |
Posted by: strioch Apr 24 2009, 09:46 PM
Not really sure how, but I think it was normal after I did an upgrade to my bodywork to stage 4, and its now faster than it used to be |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 25 2009, 07:18 AM |
whoa! Kyoichi is fast in the last hairpin..so shocking...ahahaha... |
Posted by: strioch Apr 25 2009, 07:20 AM
He cheated and use NOS !! |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 25 2009, 07:24 AM
wat a Bang Bang Bang! ahahaha... i think you choose a good car...wat RX-7 is dat, the new one or the Keisuke type..? |
Posted by: strioch Apr 25 2009, 07:38 AM
Its the RX-7 Type RS (FD3S6) Remember the good old V3 Spirit R |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 25 2009, 07:44 AM |
^ it means the new car right? whoa the hood, coming from Keisuke type..is it posible for the Keisuke type ground effect in that car? |
Posted by: strioch Apr 25 2009, 07:52 AM
I am using the Keisuke's Ground Effect Kit |
Posted by: Heron Apr 25 2009, 07:55 AM |
Same here. Using the RE parts...just looks cool. Time to learn Akina... |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 25 2009, 08:11 AM |
wow! even though it's a new car...it is also applicable to all Keisuke type...that's nice.. |
Posted by: venth85 Apr 25 2009, 09:54 AM |
Had 11 battles today, sure tires me out =.= ~won all of them |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 25 2009, 11:21 AM |
3'02"6 happo ib with 86.... =D 2'50"3 akagi uh with FD T_T.... Need help with Akina uh...someone with an FD is running 3'16"6 which is 0.2 faster than my 86 but his cp1 is like....1.9 secs slower than my already slow cp1 o_O?? |
Posted by: Asd Apr 25 2009, 06:16 PM |
i needed more help .... my BNR34 is so slow now, that i cant even get pass my own record at 3.22.....urgghhhh |
Posted by: strioch Apr 25 2009, 06:21 PM
Hmmm try to upgrade your Engine ? Assuming that Ground effect kits gives you aerodynamics, you need the engine upgrade to compensate for the speed |
Posted by: Asd Apr 25 2009, 06:58 PM |
yeah i was about to upgrade that, but i just wanted to keep that last b4 eveyrthings else. =P |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 25 2009, 07:00 PM |
Exterior parts don't affect performance....I'm not even 100% sure whether the rear wings affected handling even back in v3, I remember razor saying he pushed iro rev back in v3 with a multitude of evo4s with all sorts of different parts and he ended up with the same time. As for internal tuning....upgrading a step 7 isn't going to miraculously shave off 10 secs off ur time @_@ Good luk =p |
Posted by: Rei.G Apr 25 2009, 07:26 PM
yep. Been changing alot of parts with 3 FT cars. Personally, i don't feel any differences. Just go for the best looks |
Posted by: stormfox Apr 25 2009, 07:41 PM |
hmm... since you all feel no difference changing from part to part... what about from a fully unkitted car to a car with all parts installed? any difference you think? i think the car felt more plastered to the ground with parts installed rather than looking bone stock. it could be purely a psychological effect anyways as i improve on my control... haha... |
Posted by: Rei.G Apr 25 2009, 07:45 PM
i assume no differences. i will try 1 stock DC2 and see how it runs. |
Posted by: Asd Apr 25 2009, 09:38 PM |
i think i really need some pro to drive my car see if its same as i feel. |
Posted by: Heron Apr 26 2009, 05:18 AM |
I do think that from nothing to having some parts might have a little difference, but could be psychological. Rethinking my techniques and applied them today in some runs... 86 Levin Akina DH - 3'10'660 =D 86 Levin Happo OB - 3'08'5xx For my Akina DH run I somehow managed to replicate my 3'11'283 run's CP4 but with my CP2 and CP3 slightly faster...Might need to go even slower in CP1 to see whether got any difference in boost... But what works for some maps doesn't work on others...I tried Iro DH and I was 1 second slower... |
Posted by: himura battousai Apr 26 2009, 07:29 AM |
Guys...i need a tutor for ID5....im located in sunway and summit area...haha..anyone?? pls helppppp...T_T |

Today i ran some test on FT and Stock cars. i have tried a stock DC2 & a stock NB6C on happo inbound dry(a course that i am confident in differentiate each car's capability). i feel the stock is a bit drifty compare to FT and the stock DC2 does not have the homeground time advantage because both stock i ran about the same timing of 3'06. |
Posted by: stormfox Apr 26 2009, 05:19 PM |
i got myself an E9 yesterday... the car give me a feeling that its longer than the E7... now i'm torn between running TA and attacking the maps on my just FT E7... or tune the E9 on the new card (plan on putting E9, E3 ,E4 on the same card)... yea yea... I'm an Evo nut since the WRC heydays of late 1990s... asphalt, dirt, snow, mountainds, forests, small towns, narrow roads, high speeds. those were the days before spectators started watching at stupid positions and getting themselves in the way of the cars and run over. |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 26 2009, 06:26 PM
Yea I noticed stocks/ low-tuned cars feel different from FT/near FT , but I think its due to one of the tuning options, and not to the stuff you stick on the car, since when I was tuning my MR2 I stopped modding the exterior when it was somewhere around 6-0-0-0-0 but I only felt the difference in handling much much later. |
Posted by: -ShinRei- Apr 26 2009, 09:11 PM |
Well, it's not actually today, it's yesterday Just tried ID5 at the Second Day it came out, quite disappointed actually.. 1. Can't make a Card 2. So Small Volume, can't hear the BGM 3. Gear Calibration not yet done But overall, I'm impressed with the Graphics and Gameplay Problem NO. 3 is solved though, now got Problem NO. 1 & 2 |
Posted by: Heron Apr 26 2009, 09:32 PM
Tune the E9...you probably can be faster as you experience more cars. Any difference in handling? |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 27 2009, 06:20 AM |
Did a couple of 3'01"9s Happo IB with mah 86 =3 ...plenty of room for improvement cos I think my cp1 and cp3 lining sucks (especially cp1 =.= Now I need to learn OB.... |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 Apr 27 2009, 07:29 AM |
=O How are your CPs like? |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 27 2009, 08:35 AM |
Err Cp1,2,3 all red...cp4 about .2 faster than my 02'6 as well = | Pretty much big improvement in CP1 and 3. Oyeah forgot to mention, I got the big jump because I started braking much earlier....allowed me to start accelerating as soon as I clear the corner woot. |
Posted by: stormfox Apr 27 2009, 08:51 AM
too early to tell. barely got a couple of games in that day. i'll get back on that when i get a better idea somewhere in late May. most likely in the Mitsubishi thread |
Posted by: *j*j* Apr 27 2009, 07:21 PM |
was alone wit my gf in MV last nite ... tuned a bit on my E7 (40000) n try to learn to play it on some uhd maps ... the oni prob is tat the gear sound (rpm meter) not loud enuf coz the BGM is louder on the cabs ... overall i found the E7 a lovely car to drive but felt it was a bit heavier to turn compare to my 86 hmmm may b after FT it whd be nicer to drive ... |
Posted by: Asd Apr 28 2009, 01:05 AM |
was in summit just now, it seems like i found my own problem, i change my steering sensetiveness to 3, previously 4, got my akina to 3.20 now ... earlier stuck at .22. halfway to FT |
Posted by: XiaoJie Apr 28 2009, 03:52 AM |
i keep losing to Tak in akina... i've used up all my 3 cars but can't win.. i think my skill are bad through.. |
Posted by: ?wha? Apr 28 2009, 03:58 AM |
If you keep shredding your tires (heavily drifting) throughout the map, your accel will suffer. see technical thread for more details and for me... today I found out why people tune engine first, then everything else. THE ACCELERATION IS INSANE AT 7!!!! I ran '21 on akina dh with someone's 7-7-0-0-0 FD with major screwups (1st section kept eating walls), yet in my 5-0-0-4-1 MR2 I can barely nudge into 21 territory. and do people reckon SW20 is a bit floaty? FDs seem to be choice here, and they seem to be rock stable... |
Posted by: Heron Apr 28 2009, 04:43 AM |
I have to say that for me, the MR cars are responsive. But FDs are still powerful... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 28 2009, 04:43 AM
in theory it has nothing to do with tyres at all ... the tyres was used as an example, in fact you can push the hell out of cp1 then go slow in 2 and 3 and your 4 will still be faster |
Posted by: DamienWolf Apr 28 2009, 05:03 AM |
Managed to lower my Akina DH time by 3'13 with the S2K. 2nd section is my biggest problem. The slalom parts before the RHOD. I think Im losing a full second and a half on that section. Maybe its time to finally watch a video. Been too lazy to. Iro DH now at 3'13 hit the wall on the last section. Played Iro reverse and did 3'14. Its like the times are slapping me on the face telling me there's still too many things to figure out. Akagi DH is still at 2'53 flat with the S2K. In other news, threw my Supra and made an FC. Now my card is same as my main garage back in ver4. The downhill aces card. I do hope the 86 and FC do not disappoint me. I plan to make an FD after a looooooooong time. On the next card to be exact. I think Im gonna watch videos now. Well, maybe tomorrow. |
Posted by: Heron Apr 28 2009, 05:20 AM |
3'13 sounds good for a S2K given your number of plays and the fact that S2K isn't exactly the fastest in Akina DH. Studying the vids more and trying to figure out how to use, as what Rei.G termed, brake control. I have no idea what could it be...but I intend to figure out the bloody boost. 3 seconds away from WR and no idea how to go faster...I think I do have a problem. |
Posted by: stormfox Apr 28 2009, 06:00 AM
i doubt it. 3'21 is very doable with a stock car. i do 3'20 with a 1/0/0/0/0 Evo9. i think i did 3'18 with my friends 5/0/5/0/0 MR2. i still got a long way to go with my FT Evo7. my guess is you are doing something different when driving his FD... vary your style and speed with the MR2. the FD feels stable and easy to drive. the MR2 takes a little bit more work i think the accel feels a bit lacking. you can do it! |
Posted by: Heron Apr 28 2009, 06:49 AM |
Seriously though the FD is good. I tried my 5-4-4-4-4 FD down Akina DH today and got a 3'14 without me seriously pushing it. The fact that I was using a lot of my Levin braking points helped matters but 3'14 without being serious...I am starting to fear the FD more than the 86T. |
Posted by: Andro Apr 28 2009, 02:55 PM |
Played at timezone in sm megamall branch yesterday. I've cleared the akina course and palyed some time attacks in happogahara. Current fd type r settings: 4-1-0-0-0 |
Posted by: Asd Apr 28 2009, 03:53 PM |
just manage to clear story mode yesterday, beat Bunta on for the free game =P. ?wha? is correct, when you max tune lvl7 for engine part it really gives the car alot performance. i have tested it with my current tuning style with my friend, his using FD3S 7-4-3-2-2 tuning , im BNR34 0-7-7-1-6, both doing cold start when i reach my 5th gear he could catch up on me on a straight road boost Off. earlier b4 he hit lvl7 engine part i would have smoked him over a corner for a boost off battle. tested 6 battles with him, even my TA timing is faster than him, on a boost off battle i lost 5 (100-200km away) & won once (30km near). earlier b4 the lvl7 upgrade its the other way round. our skills are near equal. |
Posted by: kirikun330 Apr 29 2009, 01:36 AM |
does the FD step 7 engine tuning now have the twin turbo option? or is it still the single big turbine? just askin. haven't played the game though. maybe this weekend |
Posted by: LancE.Ryousuke Apr 29 2009, 02:51 AM |
Which FD? the type R or RS? If it's the R then yes, only kyoko's single turbo is available. |
Posted by: Glocker Apr 29 2009, 03:40 AM |
Turbo cars now are ridiculously fast on the straights, but I find their throttle response in corners to be a bit of a hit and miss. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 29 2009, 06:06 AM |
played a few more games today , trueno is 7-7-7-2-0 now, 2'52'2 akagi dh with it.. didnt play much because my pay hasnt come in yet .. team mate got 3'08'xxx on iro dh in his mr2 but he missed the apex in cp2 |
Posted by: DamienWolf Apr 29 2009, 07:15 AM |
Ok, tried out a few things. Akina DH is now at 3'12"7xx with the S2K. There is something Im really doing wrong on the 4th section which I think can take me at least a full second faster. 2nd section is also up for grabs. Maybe I can see a new tech or two. I feel my 3rd section and especially my 1st section is already ok. Akagi DH is now at 2'51"1xx. 1st section and 4th section would be the question marks for this course. I dont see much of a disadvantage for the S2K until maybe I try a 5 gear car. Happo OB is now at 3'09"1xx. Hit the wall on the last turn. 1st and 2nd cp could be faster. My friend's FT FD is actually 1 full second faster than I am on those sections but I guess Im one second faster on the last ones. The race for knowledge has just shifted another gear. Im having fun trying strategies to challenge and push the S2K further. Yet it still saddens me to think I can only push it so far. Hopefully the Trueno and the FC are already ready by the time I cannot push the S2K any further. Trueno is now at 7-4-0-0-0. |

I got this from a site and it's about Initial D 5 he gave them some tips on a topic about Akina DH Here It Is: Akina Hints Total Balance is very important tire management is important example.1 1CP:46"0xx 2CP:48"0xx 3CP:45"2xx 4CP:47"6xx Explanation 1CP,2CP very slow 3CP,4CP It gradually makes it to fast. My Akina how to run (Pace distribution) 1CP slow (tire gage remainder 10⇒9) 2CP very fastest (tire gage remainder 9⇒5) 3CP very fastest (tire gage remainder 5⇒2 or 1) 4CP slow (tire gage remainder 2⇒0) 4CP is last right very difficult |

share the link too in the future http://forum.racegame.org/read.php?tid=51616&fpage=1&toread=&page=2 anyways... this was posted somewhere in this forum before. i cant remember which thread. |
Posted by: Fuzz Apr 29 2009, 06:05 PM |
i think you need to correct your statements for explanation. you said cp2 is slow wen it should be fast whilst cp4 is slow when you said its fast. I agree that cp4 last corner is very hard as you just need to clip the gutter so u dont hit the inside corner and dont swing out and hit the outer wall. |
Posted by: andrie250 Apr 29 2009, 06:14 PM |
Well I Just Got It From Another Forum I Just Copy And Paste It Not My Work |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 29 2009, 06:22 PM |
that was posted by the current WR holder for akina dh he was trying to explain the boost effect, cp1 cp2 slow which makes 3 and 4 gradually faster, but in his pb runs he goes slow on cp1 then pushes 2 & 3 then 4 is automatically slow |
Posted by: john_takumi86 Apr 29 2009, 10:50 PM |
just keep practicing on that wacky Nagao course... figuring out what i will do to correct the errors that i made.. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ Apr 30 2009, 06:15 AM |
trueno is 7-7-7-4-0 now i think... or 3 on 2nd last one cant remember did 3'11'9 iro dh... didnt play much |
Posted by: Heron Apr 30 2009, 07:28 AM |
86 Levin Akagi UH 2'52'697...possible to go faster... I am beginning to wonder how to hit the boost though...I don't even know how to get 46'x in Akina DH's CP3... |

i bought evo7 today..with 6-0-0-0-0 tuning i beat my 7-7-7-2-2 FD time..and for the pro's out there,PM me..i need ur help on akina and nagao..T_T here's some of my TA with evo7 :- akina DHD-3'16'1XX irohazaka DHD-3'15'XXX happo OBD-3'09'8XX happo IBD-3'07'5XX hopefully can get better when my car FT...T_T |
Posted by: Heron Apr 30 2009, 08:05 AM |
That's weird. FD is a good car... Your Happo timings are good though. |
Posted by: kyoshiro Apr 30 2009, 12:02 PM |
that's because FD doesn't do so well on happo compare to other tracks so evo may be better. |
Posted by: J]-[UN Apr 30 2009, 08:21 PM |
Huh???? What makes you say that? |
Posted by: DamienWolf Apr 30 2009, 08:32 PM
I really disagree with this post. FD actually handles extremely well in happo. A lot more than most cars, actually. |
Posted by: -ShinRei- Apr 30 2009, 08:35 PM |
The FD is Versatile, even more Versatile that the 86, since it handles in Wet better than the 86 (It's My Opinion, not In General or Fact) |
Posted by: RooP Apr 30 2009, 10:26 PM |
i think what he actually means is to him, its easier to control a 4wd compared to FR 4wd generally has better grip then other types of cars. |
Posted by: sdlahz May 1 2009, 03:36 AM |
tried a FT fc today from lance. tried it on akina dh and akagi dh. my slow times are not worth mentioning but it was an electrifying feeling to feel the difference of a FT car. can't wait for my car to be FT... |

i've saw sdlahz and Lance.. keep on breaking my record in akina.. i think my turnings all had mess up.. |

trueno is 7-7-7-5-0 now, 3'12'3 akina dh dry and 3'20'9 akina dh wet but i f**ked up cp4 |

2'48"4 Myogi DH, 3'06"1 Happo OB, 3'17"7 Nagao DH, 3'23"8 Nagao UH. All with my FT FD3S RS. Got my RX-8 to 7-7-4-0-0. |

nice times, any improvement on your akina dh? |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 1 2009, 09:05 AM |
Nope. As a matter of fact, I'm finding it difficult to get close to the 09"9 record again I keep getting 10"3 to 10"8s everytime now. |

came bk fr sunway with IN, chypher n yian ... finally managed to go into .09.9xx with my 86 on akina dhd ... tuned my E7 70037 ... along way to break IN's TA on my akina dhd another .600 ... arggggggggg |

Very unproductive day today sigh =( I guess its a real bad idea to f**k before doing TAs =s Hey Jason wtf why does everyone like Mio, support Ritsu / Tsumugi la =s They are so unloved... Jimmy --> sure can break the raper's time soon lah, its just a matter of consistency and lining....maybe tmrw try and concentrate purely on lining, just take the corners slow oso nevermind and stop doing that fast up-drop gear in cp3 @_@; |

Noob at Iro reverse...my worst map since ID started. 7-4-4-4-7 FD did a 3'15'x Now my timings are consistent but cannot seem to break anything...I should go play Mario Kart or something. |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg May 1 2009, 02:23 PM |
i wondered by saying that u all push ur cp2 or cp3 or wadever, does it means that u all take ur corners at a much higher spd than usual? |
Posted by: Rei.G May 1 2009, 07:02 PM |
i feel that i have hit another level. Yesterday i play, i managed to break about 9 TA records. |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 1 2009, 07:02 PM |
Actually its not entirely accurate....suffice to say, the only CP we really 'push' is always CP4 , meaning we stop intentionally slowing down the car by simply releasing gas on corners which can be taken full throttle and taking turns at lower speeds than needed. Its just that CP2 and 3 tends to be fast because of the boost which carries over from each previous CP (unless you 'pushed' cp1). Shini would know , why not just ask him o_O? Rei.G --> What are you doing differently now? Are you still doing that 1/6 throttle thingy? =3 |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg May 1 2009, 07:06 PM |
well, it's always good to hear from a different person POV... |
Posted by: Rei.G May 1 2009, 07:10 PM |
i use super ultra late braking, and force your way around the corner. i've seen people using early braking and achieve the same timing as i have, just my new playing style. need better handwork though. |
Posted by: stormfox May 1 2009, 07:22 PM
so when it is mis-timed... you'll end up like the 2 guys from Tokyo? |
Posted by: Rei.G May 1 2009, 07:28 PM
yea , i have mis-timed a few times. of cos, the method hardly work in tsukuba. |
Posted by: Bu`DoNg May 1 2009, 07:54 PM
woah. interesting way of playing. but lookiing at ur timing, i think its pretty effective for u.. i am visualising u screamingg "SUPER LATE-TOE BRAKING~!!!!!!" |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 1 2009, 07:56 PM |
Ah ic ic...cypher does that a lot, I've tried it out before but discarded it because it tends to take too long for the car to 'stabilise' exiting corners in happo and it didn't seem to work at all in iro since I'd miss the apex entirely due to 'inertia?'....though it does work for me in Akina. Probably I'm not used to it, but I prefer to brake early =( |
Posted by: Rei.G May 1 2009, 08:02 PM
i actually do that in my head . @jhun: there's a guy whose happo inbound is only +0.0xx from my timing, and his way of running is very different from me.(using early braking and precise wheel turning). individual preference. |
Posted by: Heron May 1 2009, 08:59 PM |
I guess it is how much force you apply to the brakes... For me I am a bit of a late braker but somehow I think early braking improves my timing...urgh... Must...get...faster... |
Posted by: BDDEE@ May 1 2009, 11:06 PM
lol yea, i only started cutting down my iro time when i started braking more and earlier cut 3 seconds off and went to 3'11 and was like "oh, thats heaps easier xD" |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 2 2009, 12:57 AM |
I think Im FINALLY feeling the game now, third day I've played. I left my card at home, so I took a stock out for a spin. It just dawned on me in Nagao, speed loss from cornering those roller coasters on the DH is absolutley minimal in a six gear. As long as I keep the car in tolerances and drift into a more or less proper line, I lose next to nothing. The TRICK is to control the urge to stomp on the accelerator. I've tried feathering it, and it does seem to help somewhat, especially on longer turns that arent as sharp. That, and knowing whether to use Gear 2 or 3. My braking is still crap, but at least I can anticipate some kind of point unlike my first tries where I just slammed it on right before entering the corner. |
Posted by: ?wha? May 2 2009, 01:12 AM
Lol, I'm usually in MC on sat arvos.. no point me going to city on a sunday yet Anyway, managed to break into '21 territory on akina and 28 territory on nagao dh. all in a 5-0-0-4-1 MR2 so far. I got my 6th engine step, and the acceleration feels so much different, though i think i'll start have to compensate more for the speed..... |
Posted by: Heron May 2 2009, 05:18 AM
LOL. I got my 3'10 in iro DH by that... Did some runs in my semi-comatose state... FD3S6 7-5-4-4-7 Iro Rev - 3'13'x 86 Levin Akagi DH - 2'49'5 (messed it up slightly so can be 2'48 by my modest estimates) 86 Levin Tsukuba OB - 3'07'407 I have to say, I finally know what boost is. Or rather I understand it better. My Tsukuba OB run had a relatively slower CP1 and a VERY slow CP2. But my CP3 and CP4 were a lot faster. And I managed to screw up a little here and there. So 3'06'x isn't out of the question. Thing is I have no idea whether I can go faster. |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 2 2009, 08:04 AM |
Alright, Akina DH is now at 3'12"045. Very easily a 3'11 if I did not bang the wall at the end. Im already 3 seconds from current Jap MR holder, I dont know if there's a faster S2K in Akina for the EXP version so I dont really have a target. I can now clearly see the disadvantages of this car. After using an FT Supra, I can beat my 1st cp with ease. The most disgusting is using my half tuned Trueno and still managing to beat my 1st and 2nd cp by half a second. Sega what did you do to the S2000. *sigh* It was the same with Myogi. There were sweeping curves that the Trueno can take with ease while the S2K loses grip and slides towards the outside AND lose speed. Well, at least I know its ok in Tsukuba. Ive only done two runs and so far I have a 2'57 (I think). Myogi has now been pushed to 2'52 high. Naga.o DH is 2'23 I cant wait till the Trueno is FT so I can start with the FC. Did also two battles, noticed that it was now like battle gear, the car behind can actually bump the car in front and bring him out of his line. Kinda sucks. But I did notice that my friend (who's only a second slower than me in Akina) slows down heaps on the exit of the turn on which he bumps me. Speed penalty? Trueno is gay. But gay in a fun way. |
Posted by: Heron May 2 2009, 08:16 AM |
I think you meant Nagao DH 3'23. LOL. And Tsukuba OB timing shouldn't be 2'57? Supra's weaker on Akina DH compared to the S2K though. Slightly. Hopefully you can hit 3'08 soon. |
Posted by: ultradd May 2 2009, 08:17 AM
i stopped at 11.6 for the ap1 3 weeks ago and went to tune a trueno. regretted bcos i stopped running my ap1 in akina dh now ><. the machine will not record the model record of your ap1 if your personal time recorded by another car is faster. |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 2 2009, 08:23 AM |
Same as version 4 then. Ok I have a few more plays before the Trueno gets FT'd. New target time! Supra is weaker? I can easily beat my S2K time with it. Dont know how it can be weaker there. Anyway, there's still a lot more learning to be done. Yeah Nagao is 3'23 lol, mixed it up with Tsukuba. I could have sworn its 2'57, I'll take a look again. Or better yet I'll play it again. Funny, Ive played the S2K more in all other maps except its home course. |
Posted by: Heron May 2 2009, 08:24 AM |
It's the bad thing about the system and one that carried over from ID4. Maybe it is time to go back to Akina DH and see if I can use the things I learnt in Tsukuba OB. EDIT: Tsukuba OB 2'57 is 3 seconds faster than the Jap record. But there's always the chance of you getting it. Looking at the IR one would assume Supra is weaker. But perhaps not by a lot. |

Broke my Nagao DHD with my FD RS again..3'17"9 to 3'16"8. Then later I finally managed to improve my Akina DHD with the FD from 3'09"9 to 3'09"7, and my Akina DHW from 3'18"9 to 3'18"8. Tuned the RX-8 to 7-7-7-5-0 now...ran something like a 3'12"1 Akina DHD with it. |

people help me!!!!!whenever i enter a turn oversteer kicks in...help!!!how to cancel the damn oversteer??? Mazda RX-7 FD3S6 Type-RS 1-0-0-0-0 |
Posted by: Heron May 3 2009, 03:19 AM |
Don't floor the accelerator until you cleared the corner. FD3S6 Iro Rev - 3'12'x Using the FD for Iro Rev from now on. Easier to use. Tested a lot of theories, braking points and stuff, so the 86 Levin has no records broken. But one thing for sure...I know boost for what it is now. |

Another wasted day on Akina...maybe I should have kept pushing when I did my 08 instead of playing other maps, I keep messing up one of the cps. 47'0 Akagi dh with my newly ft fc, I'm not sure how much time I wasted on the last corner when I got greedy and tried accelerating early only to crash into the outside wall then lose control and end up sliding back inside = | Was too tired to bother playing further. Anybody have the CP timings for a low 46/45 akagi run? |
Posted by: himura battousai May 3 2009, 08:31 AM |
@yian: i still need ur help on akagi man..still didnt get it..im still stuck at 2'50"4 |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 3 2009, 06:57 PM |
Ermm akagi is the only map (I think) where you can force the car to face the apex and accelerate slightly early, so its accelerating and going forwards while it slides slightly out of the corner. |

i manage to not play ID5 for 4days == ..... |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 3 2009, 09:13 PM |
Akina is now being a real b*tch and Im almost about to give up. I now have the ability to break all of my cps almost by .600 and then blow it all away in the last section. It could be the last turn, the turn before that or the turn before the fireworks but whatever it is, it has shaken my faith and had me scream on the top of my lungs. Almost disgusted, went out of Akina and tried Iro DH with the S2K. Applied all I've learned and managed to get a 3'09"1xx. Im sure I can still break it. Iro reverse remains at 3'13 until I manage my cps a lot better. The boost is apparent now especially in Akina Lake ccw. I used to do a technique by braking a small bit early and just drifting through the turns (and on the apex too) at speeds over 160kph on the first turn. What I noticed though on the Grand turn after doing that tech, I would reach 183 on the long sweeping left turn by the goal and reach 186 only after I exit. On the second run, I used an in-to-in line by braking on the inside keeping my speed at 115-125 but keeping an inside line on the entire curve. On the grand turn my exit speed was a lot slower and then f*ck speed went really fast towards the sweeping left before the goal. In a little while, I was overreving already on the curve even before the exit, a feat I cant do with my earlier tech. I did not finish the run because the car wasnt mine (a half tuned evo9) but Im sure I couldve broken my S2K's time by 2 seconds maybe. My eyes are beginning to open. But Akina is still a b*tch. EDIT: Oh yeah, I mixed it up with my old Akagi UH time which was 2'57. My Tsukuba OB time is actually 3'09 when I looked at it. |

thanks Heron!!!!Now the damn oversteer is gone...but i've tried feathering the throttle and it works pretty good.. |
Posted by: himura battousai May 4 2009, 01:22 AM
Hmmmm...u mean the apex in akagi no need to go too slow? wht's the ideal speed man?? and i need help at the last corner.. |
Posted by: Heron May 4 2009, 05:11 AM |
@MS14SGTR: It will work. But just try what makes you faster, when you hit a limit you can return here to learn boost. @Himura: 70+ is ideal for the apex speed for most of the hairpins. Last corner, release the pedal and try braking a little to around 115+ and as you clear it floor the damn accelerator. |
Posted by: himura battousai May 4 2009, 06:39 AM
hmmm..so 70+ la...but i see some ppl didnt brake at the last corner woor..bt when i do that my car slammed to the wall..T_T |
Posted by: Heron May 4 2009, 08:31 AM |
Maybe because you didn't do your CPs slow enough. But I still have much to learn for Akagi DH as well. |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 4 2009, 09:23 AM |
CP1 off gas/brake everywhere CP2 brake for the last 3 corners or you won't get the strong boost in cp3 CP3 brake hard for the corners, off gas for the small curves. CP4 FULL STEAM AHEAD (just release gas a bit for the left curve after the cp). Thats what I did to get my 47'0 (something like mid '46 theory which I'm sure can be improved further cos I just did about 7 games or so with my newly FT'd FC). Btw since the corners are taken so slowly and acceleration in akagi sucks, lining is veryyyyyyyyyy important. |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 4 2009, 11:11 AM
Thanks jhun! That helps out a lot. When my FC is tuned up, I'll go attack Akagi in earnest. Any tips about the consecutives though? |

Timezone G4 has now also a in-store battle mode...it was only fixed yesterday and then they've started to test it... the two guys who usually play at G4 battled out.. the guy said that when you get 10 consecutive wins then the car will have the aura... I think that aura is only for Japanese version only...I'm not sure if there is an aura in export version... any comments or reaction? |
Posted by: stormfox May 4 2009, 05:12 PM |
none that we know of for Export version. unless there is some new patch or something... |

is it already proven? have they acquired their auras after reaching 10 consec wins? |
Posted by: Asd May 4 2009, 05:45 PM |
after watching the new vid from ID5 VID last page, showing the screen & the footwork, i manage to get most of my timing faster by 3sec, cant remember the lining exactly =P btw i would like to ask, whatever we are doing now for TA better lining & drive slow = faster timing with boost. does it applies to Boost Off battle ? |

my friend has 25 consec wins on his card and he doesnt have shit |

it has no effect...the man who drive the Evo IX reached 10 consecutive wins and it has no effect..no auras on it... other guy waste a battle for nothing...he's making win tank to Evo IX...lol... i also remember last saturday when chin(Supra) battled wolf(S2K)...chin has 15 consecutive wins i guess and wolf has 2 consecutive...also that is the first time wolf played an in-store battle, sugoi... |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 4 2009, 06:17 PM
I think they should be done about 80, as usual with the other corners on Akagi try and force the car to steer into apex then accelerate slightly early and let it 'drift' slightly to the outside. Brake hard for the first, just off gas for the 2nd and 3rd, tap the brakes for the final one. ASD --> Yeah boost works in battle, though you lose it if you crash or get rammed into stuff. |
Posted by: pol_southside May 5 2009, 04:28 AM
i think u need to tap the brakes @ the 3rd one... entry is about 100+ although i haven't tried your tech yet... |
Posted by: stormfox May 5 2009, 06:54 AM |
[rant start] i'm stagnanting some... driving the E4 and E9 both pretty much bone stock... little in the way of parts.. next to no internal tuning... 3'18"xxx on Akina Dh consistent.. 3'30"xxx on Nagao Dh consistent... (most infuriating is hat i get a +1.5 here and there.. then get a -2.5s somewhere else.. gah) way way below my expectations... somehow the cars felt unstable and behave queer in my hands... its like riding a raging bull through a maze grown out of cactuses. I wonder if its because of their untuned status... as i dont recall my E7 or the Sil80 (which is still less than 5tunings) being this queer. or i can add a stock E7 to my current E7 card to try it out and see if it behaves the same for me. or maybe i'll find my answers when i tune it up more... no... i haven't run proper TAs with my FT E7 to find how how fast i can actually go. i just like killing myself with stupid challenges. [rant end] ok... i SUCK... and i'm done with ranting... back to wrestling the cars to the ground and beating them silly... lol... On Guard! |

was over summit usj yesterday evening, broke some of my own records after trying what the footwork video shows, im about to start upgrading my engine this evening over the same place again. any 1 here will be there ? around 6-7pm. cant wait to ft my car >_< |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 5 2009, 05:28 PM
If can't reach 171 means most likely no cp3 boost or you hit something just before the cp3 banner. If no cp3 boost means cp1 or cp2 was done too fast, even if 1 corner is too fast it may mess up the boost. |
Posted by: Rei.G May 5 2009, 06:31 PM |
After seeing RK's vid showing the footwork, i decided to play Tsukuba (which i never TA seriously b4). Also tried applying on other courses, it helps to a certain extend. |

well for cp1 (.45.997) i kept an extremely tight line n also a very slow corner speeds (mid 70s) n b4 cp1 banner the entry speed was at 144 ... the S corners in cp2 i follow your style 2nd gear (90+)1st left corner n 3rd gear (11+) for the 2nd left, both were in gutters n ofc off gas at the slight right (till i come out of it i reaccel) ... b4 the death corner i off gas at the left corner till straight i reaccel at 140 ... i enter the gutter nicely with speed of mid 70s and reach the banner at 148 ... almost follow like the .08.1xx TA video ... i swear i didn't hit anything at all as Chin n ah piew was watching even they were puzzle ... i saw the replay n was observing my runs n didn't saw any SPARKS when i was in the gutters ... where did i really did wrong ??? sighhhhh |

Thanks dude..im getting my car FT by today..im trynna break '11 on akina DHD ...thnks for the useful tips man..hehe.. |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 5 2009, 09:38 PM
The small right curve before the cp2, try an tap the brakes for that corner before you turn in. CP1 2nd corner you must do about 68-70, mid 70 is too high. CP2 1st and 2nd corner must be done slow (68+). Just try holding the brakes for a little longer, I think you should be able to see the difference. Btw the replay isn't accurate, sometimes when you graze the wall you won't see sparks.....you can only rely on the force feedback and the sound, if you hear that grinding sound it means you're grazing. |

Did some battles in my arcade. Finally learnt something about startup. Try to maintain a certain low rev (for my Levin is 2.5k rpm) until the sound for 1 is over, then full gas. The startup will be fast. And found out that the FD has a good startup...now I fear the FD a lot more. |

Yea I've hit a wall on akina and iro as well. I did a 06"2 on iro a long time back so I thought to see whether I could apply my boost knowledge on the map....tried doing cp1,2,3 insanely slow to see how much boost I would get for cp4. The result (with no wall contacts) was a mere -0.8xx on cp4 =\ If I were to really push using the techniques and line I'm currently using I'd get about a 05"7-"8 only...I wonder how the japs are doing mid '04. |

My pace is mostly 3-4 seconds off the Jap records...with some exceptions. But how do you guys play Lake Akina? Seriously its the one map that I have tons of problems with. |
Posted by: himura battousai May 7 2009, 09:53 AM |
Never try tht map for TA before..but i heard 6th gear car got slightly little advantage there..hmmm.. |

Probably will be there Saturday night after 8. |

Akina lake is fairly easy although I cant say much, Im only a 3'16"8xxx. This is CCW btw. Off gas points at the part before the S turns and hard braking maintaining at least 115 -120 on the grand turns (all 3). 6 gear car has an advantage because when they reach the wide left towards the goal, 6 gear cars (if boost done properly) will ovverev at 186 for a long time until the straightway. 5 gear cars lose this and the most Ive done is maintain a 181-182 but speed goes down. On Topic: After FT'ing the 86, TA'd Akina in earnest while tuning the FC this time. My most current is a 3'10"6xx. Still experimenting some and finally Im beginning to utilize the boost on the 3rd section. BUT THAT STUPID RIGHT TURN BEFORE THE GOAL IS MY DEVIL'S CURVE. All of my 3'10 times I either eat the inside or bang the wall on the outside bringing my speed from 153+ to 110. @_@ 2 words for Akina DH: PERFECTION and PATIENCE To save for boost, all turns must be PERFECT and have the PATIENCE to keep speeds low during the hairpins. Managed to get a 45 high on the 3rd section and hit the wall again on the 4th section. Cant repeat it again. Have to make the consecutives cleaner. When done properly, top speed now goes to 175 easily before the 3 lane turn. Im trying the same tactic with other maps now and so far only Myogi and Lake Akina has shown promise. But now with the 86 FT'd, I'll be trying more of the maps soon. |

got trueno too 7-7-7-7-1 got 3'10'9 akina dh, and 2'50'xxx akagi dh 1 go after watching some 47 video rofl might FT it next week... |
Posted by: ?wha? May 8 2009, 01:10 AM |
Today I ran a 3'15 with a borrowed FT 86T on akina DH... seriously WTF 6 seconds difference between a 6-0-0-4-1 and FT? I reckon had I not blew the right hander before CP2 I would've pulled '14 or lower (152-> 130.. ouch) Then had a few battles on nagao DH... thats about it |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 8 2009, 04:43 AM
I've only hit 09"7 with the RS...not 09'4. Tsu IBD 05'3 RX-8. Not sure how to use the boost yet..... |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 8 2009, 07:49 AM |
Found my own startup technique; Right when the countdown starts floor it then dont touch the pedal. The minute it says go, there's no burnout and I lurch forward. I still have trouble dealing with the curves, but it's all in my mentality. With more practice i can probably iron it out. |

myogi dhd 2'51''7 @ 7-7-7-1-7 supra 2'55''2 @ 5-0-0-0-0 eg6, unpushed don't know where to use the boost. |

i played a few games today... took my FT E7 for some 'serious' spin on Akina Dh since i never quite did TA for the car at all.. 3'15"3xx 3'14"1xx 3'13"000 still got much much room to spare. some horrible lining... cant get the 2nd sector the braking from heavy braking from 160+ down for the high speed consec section... lousy 5 consecs.. and more... on track to get a minus 6seconds timing of minimum 3'12 for the FT car... (my stock E3 is getting 3'18) yea.. |
Posted by: himura battousai May 8 2009, 09:43 AM |
break 3'10"5 on akina DHD with AE86T...i just dont get it how to get the boost on the final corner...damn...anyone knw where to slow down in order to get the last corner boost? |
Posted by: stormfox May 9 2009, 12:03 AM |
6games today... E3 Akina Dh down to 3'17"mid with 0/0/0/0/2 tuning.. E7 Akina Dh down to 3'12"mid with FT. still got biggg rooms for improvement.. i screwed up the last corner majorly for both cars =.= |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 9 2009, 06:15 AM |
What is it with me and last turns today... Akina DH is now at 3'10"336 with again a smash-up on the last turn. A cleaner 3rd section is what I need to get past this. Cleaner RHOD too. Myogi DH is now at 2'50"5xx with the 86. Again still experimenting with the lines. Akagi DH is now at 2'50 flat with the 86 too with a scraped up last turn. And its really funny because my FC (7-3-0-0-0) is 2'51 low. Its really getting exciting. With new members joining the team too. I wonder when they're gonna fix the IR. |

Did a 46"9 akagi with a few tries. 'Celebrated' with like 25 games of Akina with no results =( I'm doing CP1, CP2 slow, CP3 & CP4 fast now...but I dunno why my CP3 and CP4 isn't fast enough to fully make back let alone break the extra time I'm using in cp1 and 2 =( |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 10 2009, 01:03 AM |
I need to start learning how to use the boost =.= 3'26 on Akina bleaaah. Only happo and Nagao left on LoTS. Takumi managed to slip away from me on my first try. Had people looking over my shoulder and nobody challenging me. CPU opponents get old after a while Is it just me, or does a six speed's 2nd gear accelerate faster (much faster) than a 5 gear's lower gears? It has the option of taking corners at 2nd or 3rd, with 2nd able to really push the acceleration back or 3rd to keep speed up. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ May 10 2009, 01:19 AM
if your running 3'26 , you should work on other area's before the boost i didnt dare to use it until like 3'12ish |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 10 2009, 01:22 AM |
Im taking corners at around 8x-ish. The problem with me I guess is anything NOT a hairpin; i cant gauge the proper speed. |
Posted by: BDDEE@ May 10 2009, 01:24 AM |
boost doesnt increase your speed on the straight, it physically pushes your car futher ... the speedo remains like normal |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 10 2009, 02:17 AM |
R34 tuned to 1-0-0-4-0, got my Nagao UH for my Type R FD to 22"7...no other notable achievement today. :/ not really a good day. |
Posted by: ?wha? May 10 2009, 03:44 AM |
Put the MR2 to step 7 tuning.. and immediate results akina dhd: 3'21'2xx -> 3'19'2xx nagao dhd: 3'29'0xx -> 3'27'4xx Used same techniques as before, so I think I can push akina to 18 region before I do exhaust and I'm 0.2xxx seconds off top time in sydney for nagao dhd.... ARGH!!! (going against I think a FT MR-S) |

Posted by: Heron May 10 2009, 06:33 AM
Well, I did a 3'10'2xx in Akina DH today using the method...but going to try the CP2 and CP3 fast method. 86 Levin Nagao UH - 3'26'x 86 Levin Akina UH - 3'18'3 86 Levin Myogi DH - 2'51'x Something like that. I think I suck at Akina DH... CP1 - 46'9 CP2 - 48'1 CP3 - 46'1 CP4 - 48'6 Urgh... |
Posted by: TheKoreanDrift May 10 2009, 02:38 PM |
I got my AE86 to 7-0-0-0-0 XD With the upgrading and after I figured out how to slide without losing too much speed, I went from a 3'26'XXX to a 3'20'XXX |
Posted by: chin571 May 10 2009, 03:24 PM |
tried nagao uh again. with my FT supra got a 3'26. still experimenting with different lines. big room for improvement. also, finally broke my supra's time on akina dh. using a trueno 7-7-7-7-3, got a 3'11''6xx. not yet fully tuned, plus i know where my mistakes are, so i think i can cut it down again nxt time. |

Ok, 3'09"7xx now on Akina DH with the 86. Cleaner 3rd cp plzz. 2'50"3xx on Akagi DH with the 7-4-0-0-0 FC. |
Posted by: Heron May 11 2009, 06:22 AM |
86 Levin Akagi UH - 2'52'1 - I think 2'51 is totally within reach but my CP3 needs to be cleaner. 86 Levin Akina DH - 3'10'1 - 0.1 second improvement over Sunday's run but my CP2 is confusing me. Sigh. 86 Levin Happo OB - 3'08'1 It is an improvement over my old run but I do not get how to hit 3'06 and below. 86 Levin Akagi UH Wet - 3'00'1 Wow, I did 1 run and I am already at 3'00. Car type's at 2'57...judging from my mistakes 2'59 is very possible and who knows, maybe I can hit 2'58. |

Hit a brick wall re: nagao dh I can't seem to crack lower than '26 with what is now a 7-0-0-6-1 MR2, and its giving me the s***s. Does anyone know how far you can push the time before reaching tuning limits? |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 11 2009, 09:43 PM |
Uhhh you can actually do below a '20 with a stock so.... =x |
Posted by: Heron May 12 2009, 04:45 AM |
86 Levin Akagi UH - 2'51'457 - This timing is close to the Levin car type, but I don't buy it. Since I get the feeling that it can be pushed slightly faster. 86 Levin Akina UH - 3'18'1 - Possibly 3'17, but I tend to screw CP3 up. 86 Levin Happo OB - 3'07'8 - I think I can hit 3'06 if I don't have the tendency to hit the 3rd corner's apex. Tried the Levin on Iro Rev and I was .025 away from my FD record. Also did Akina DH, keep on getting 3'10'x... |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 12 2009, 05:48 AM |
TA's were a lot more sluggish as Myogi is now getting as frustrating as f*ck. Think Im going to let it go for a while. Tried Akina and did some experiments. Yes, Im now also able to do the 45" on the 3rd cp but only with an extremely slow 1st and 2nd cp as in extremely slow. But what happens is just a balancing act. The 3rd cp will just cancel out the 1st and 2nd cp and my 4th section will not be enough to break the time. I have another theory to try but this will be for next time. Just tried Happo at a whim and discovered I cant seem to control the 86 as how I want it to move on the track. Did break a time there and will probably quit the map and try again with the FC when its FT. (Have to formulate theories and lines for the map too) About the only light of the TA day was Akagi DH with the now 7-7-7-0-0 FC. Time is now 2'49"7xx, a whopping -.300 from my FULL TUNED 86 time and still with mistakes. FC pls be my savior. |
Posted by: Heron May 12 2009, 05:58 AM |
You are driving the course car for Akagi DH after all... Beginning to feel that except on Akina DH, most of the maps I can control my Levin better than the other cars in my garage (Supra and FD3S6). |
Posted by: DamienWolf May 12 2009, 06:04 AM |
Yeah, but I really feel im so slow in this game compared to all of you guys. I wish we had the machine down here as early as when you guys got it. Im trying to negate the time lost by playing as much as I can. Still some days I feel like Im just wasting my money. Well save for my Akagi runs. Im totally stumped now and cannot lower my Akina, Myogi or Happo (especially this map) times. I'll probably try the UH maps soon. I would definitely would be happy with a 3'08 in Akina and a 48 in Myogi. At this rate im going to shift courses before getting my goals. Plus Im gonna have to slow down soon since on June 7 I have a (real) Time Attack challenge on our Subic International Raceway. Saving money for gas for practice. Man, where to get money. Anybody want to buy my soul? |
Posted by: Heron May 12 2009, 06:09 AM |
I spent SGD1k worth of credits in the game already (probably closer to $500 since TZ here is having double dollar promotion) but I still am slow...I mean, for someone who played as much as I did I probably should have reached 3'09 for Akina DH. Don't get frustrated and watch some videos. Maybe that will help, it definitely helped in my Akagi UH and allowed me more room for thought. Unlike in ID3 where I have to use my own theories and stuff to hit faster timings as there weren't much people using the noob cars like I was. |
Posted by: Silvershift May 12 2009, 06:12 AM |
@^ for somebody who plays 3rd person, i'd say your happo's quite good... i wouldn't know about the other courses considering i've only been playing happo since D5 came out here |

abit more than me but alot less than Rei.G, dun think anyone as crazy as him in swipping the card. i find ID boring already, played only 20+ games for the last 10 days, hype seemed to die down in singapore. |
Posted by: Heron May 12 2009, 06:21 AM |
@Silvershift: Thanks for the compliment but I think there's still some way to go for me. @ultradd: Not boring yet. For me anyway. Just hope that online comes out soon. |

i spend quite alot(around $700) because i play all the course unlike ultradd(my bro) who only plays tsukuba ob 23/7. For me, i won't play the same map more than 3x in a single go. i always shuffle, tats why my timing on all courses are quite balanced . |
Posted by: Roaddawg May 12 2009, 06:38 AM
That's true. Saw $100+ in his card the other day. |
Posted by: Heron May 12 2009, 08:29 AM |
LOL, fiercest I ever did was near something like that too...but have to cut down somewhat. Think my limit on a map is around 5 to 6 tries. Except for Akina DH which I can do like 10-15 tries. Maps like Akagi DH, Tsukuba OB and Lake Akina I just do like 1 to 2 tries. In fact my current Akagi DH timing I did it with only 1 try...so probably a 2'47 is possible? Guess have to try it to know. |

don't worry wyvern, you guyz have a unique courses...i think wolf is control of whether akina or akagi then aurick control the happo and you wyvern in myogi... |

just got Tsukuba OB 3'11'xxx, could have get 09' but i hit somethings on cp4, so i got a 3'11 instead ... dang. my akina dh still stuck at 3'15, worse is akagi dh, 2'52'xxx i can do super slow on cp1 & cp2, i get a almost -2sec on cp3, but on cp4 im getting white =/ dunno how to push it fast enough. |

Guys dont worry, sometimes a break can help, clear your mind. I've recently stopped playing for over a week cos i just couldnt be bothered and i went to Taipei for a trip. Only once did i go into an arcade and watch ppl play (that was also the only 1 i could find in all Taipei). Came back and cracked my times for Myogi, Tsukuba and Nagao. Akina Lake CCW - 3:18:3xx Myogi DH - 2:50:xxx Akagi DH - 2:49:5xx Akagi UH - 2:52:xxx Akina DH - 3:11:8xx Akina UH - 3:18:xxx Tsukuba OB - 3:06:8xx Nagao UH - 3:20:2xx |

Just added a red GC8 into my garage today. 3 more steps from FTing my 86T. GC8 rocks, so stable with decent acceleration, making my AE86 choice kinda regret (not really though just a little bit) Idiotic West Mall TZ! better fix the accleration problem. Simply refuse to listen to people suggestion. |

accidentally cut my time on myogi dhd, from 2'52''5 @ 7-0-0-0-0 to 2'51''7 @ 7-1-0-0-0 and made a mess on the last corner, didnt notice the boost there so i just scrapped some walls haha! |

86 Levin Akagi UH - 2'51'0 - Proof that 2'50 isn't impossible for my Levin. 86 Levin Akina DH - 3'09'873 - Finally. Was very, very happy as I managed it in 2 tries |

i got a revelation today... i need to add some aggression into my driving to go faster... ... ... ... MUCH faster Evo 3 tuning 1/0/0/0/5 Akagi DH 2'54"4xx... in 6x runs... did no Akagi TA for this car before. that is like... my almost to my E7 timing when i was nearing FT about 3weeks back. now... i'm wondering what i will get if i put in my E7 to try now... mmmmmm.... nah. i'll tune the E3 and TA the E7 only when IR is up. |

ohh...another slowpoke day for my car and it seems i dunno if can push to its limits more... i played in-store battle for the first time and i battle with a FT 86T....i admit that the car is so great in akina DH...i can't even catch up with that rather but in the next battle, i luckily won in nagao DH and it's wet....in order for me to have a fair battle, i always play random course choices in order to have a suprise and fun battle... |
Posted by: stormfox May 16 2009, 10:11 AM
nah... they don't. On Happo, the E3 doesn't feel to have as much rear-end kick out as the E7 when on or pass the limit. The E9 does have a bigger car feel than the E3... (like how driving a S15/R34 compared to the cappu. a bit extreme example.. but you ge the point) another fruitless day in terms of timing improvement... looking for more revelations... but.. at least now i can drive the 6speed E9 at nearly the same pace as the E3.. so i'm getting a hang of the geras |

Double Dollar Deal today, bought my brother for a ride in West Mall arcade, FT AE86, got the new GC8 and bring its engine to step 3. West Mall some guys challeng some battles and wiped them with the FT AE86, ppl using RX7 keep complaining that AE86 is imba fast. Everyone in the whole world AE86 accleration isnt fast on the straights. Anyway time to rest and call it a day. |

Today: - Fully completed the body kit for my FC - Improved my Happo IB by like 0.1....now 3'01"7xx with FD. Then tried someone else's DC2 (since he wanted me to show him how) and I got 00"5xx...the boost cut off at the end too =.=) |

Let's see... 86 Levin Akagi DH - 2'48'7 - Minor improvement. I think it is possible to push it but my CP2 is kinda not stable at the moment. 86 Levin Akagi DH Wet - 2'55'x - Decided to try wet and after a few tries managed this. I tried with the FD as well and got 2'56 before I get my Levin to try. 86 Levin Akagi UH Wet - 2'58'x - Tried to see if I can take down the 3'00 timing I set previously. Opened my eyes to a lot of things. 86 Levin Iro DH - 3'09'80x - Very minor improvement. But I think now I get the track slightly better. 86 Levin Iro Rev - 3'10'x - Finally took down my FD timing. 86 Levin Happo OB - 3'07'0xx - Improvement and probably possible to take it all the way to 3'05 with my current skills. But I am quite bad at Happo in most versions. 86 Levin Happo IB - 3'05'4 - Huge improvement in my Happo IB. Although still slow. 86 Levin Nagao DH - 3'19'6 - I tried out the gutter run in Nagao (yes, the gas off to gutter) and my CP1 and CP2 was quite sick. But CP3 and CP4 CMI. LOL. 86 Levin Nagao UH - 3'26'0 - Didn't use the gutter at all. But fixed my CP2 since that was my weak link. I also did Tsukuba OB and IB but I forgot the timings. It was some improvements though. All in all not bad. Akina UH is proving to be my bane so far (3'18 consistent) but the rest of the maps, I probably can be faster. =D |

did a couple of TA's on akina DH. didn't notice it until i broke my time twice but our TA records are busted. check this out. this is only one of the weird things that happened. the fd here isn't even fully tuned. these are our akina DH rankings. http://i597.photobucket.com/albums/tt56/chin_571/Image514.jpg?t=1242659048 it seems our TA records have been shuffled. our akina dh rankings have been set with akagi, found my happo TA record at tsukuba, stuff like that. but when i was able to break my akina DH time, it still went to akina DH, not to akagi, like in the picture |

i have no idea, I don't think any arcade that has this bug has fixed it yet (at least in Singapore). |
Posted by: chin571 May 18 2009, 08:12 AM |
^ aw, is it possible to just erase all the records and start again from scratch? |
Posted by: ultradd May 18 2009, 08:16 AM
dunno.no point too i think. this bug occured in my arcade when the linking system across the machines got disconnected then the next day the technician reconnected it....then the time got messed up. |
Posted by: chin571 May 18 2009, 08:25 AM |
aw, the exact same thing happened at our arcade. kinda needed the correct rankings coz i use it to compare cp times, just so i know where i need to push, and go slow for the "boost" |
Posted by: john_takumi86 May 18 2009, 05:11 PM |
a weird machine man...i wish they give the jap ver. of the machine instead of the export.. |
Posted by: -ShinRei- May 18 2009, 05:48 PM
If I'm not wrong, if You erase all the Records, wouldn't it be hard to put up Your Records again unless You improve Your time? So far in My Area, I still haven't got this kind of problem |
Posted by: stormfox May 18 2009, 09:49 PM
yarr.. it will be tough >_< none of your records are put up unless you break your own record. so theres some work to be done there |

Today ran a 3'25 on Nagao dh on the same tuning. I think I'm getting the hang of boost now because I wiped a good second off CP3, which on the last record took 1 sec of the previous etc etc. Still room for improvement though (top time in syd is now 3'21 and thats with FT cars. I got 3 full tuning sets to go so I'm in a neat situation ) |

Myogi now officially a female dog and left it temporarily a while. The game is kinder to me now as I got a 2'47"5xx with my FC on Akagi DH. Akina DH is now at 3'09"4xx and I now know my mistakes. This time I can honestly say I can reach my target. Simple, All I have to do is to make perfect runs. LOL |

Had a battle, and then ran something like an 04.8 Happo IB with my 7-3-0-0-0 FC. That's about it. |
Posted by: clown321 May 20 2009, 07:41 AM |
played 6 rounds today with AE86t. [ 7-3-0-0-0] for first 5 rounds, finally pushed my akina to 3'16"xxx improved by a second plus, and [7-4-0-0-0] akagi with timing 2'56"xxx, improved by 2 second plus |

sandwished between 2 appt n got some spare time to play at Mid Valley ... improved my akagi dhd with my 86 fr .50 flat to .49.6xx n oso cut a bit off for my akina uhd .18.2xx, try my play on akina dhw with a .20 flat cut down to .18mid ... still can't decide which 6th gear car to add to my garage ... hmmm |

evo9 or GDB for lake since no one has that |
Posted by: *j*j* May 20 2009, 06:52 PM
was never good in lake akina n had gdbf in v4 so m not getting it again ... got an E7 with me n not thinking of getting another Evo so is only left with either gtr34, Rx8, S2K, Supra or roadster ... hmmm |

super-rare 6-speeds will be the GDBF, S15, NB8C and SXE10... there a couple o E9s running around. but not much. JZA80 doing pretty well... R34 and AP1 is doing fairly well.. SE3P are doing decent... the rest.. are well.. lagging. |

had 2 battles today while waiting for wangan to be free... won both by 400/600m+ and played wangan the rest of the day. tried using the boost method but havent learnt it fully just yet. manage to shave 1.8 seconds off my cp 3 time but not cp2 . (akina) |

Had two quick Story mode battles in Happo. If I thought V3's Happo was hard, then DAUYMN. There was always the anxiety that I was going too fast even if I was gliding pretty well; cornering too tight and hitting the apex; and how hard to brake after the Snake hairpins. I swear I can never finish filming one replay. one thing or another always interrupts me. But at least I go my front bumper now! woo! |
Posted by: Lunar May 22 2009, 06:26 AM |
That sounds sweet, I used to love happo in ID3. I'm really glad they brought back Happo and it does look so awesome to play... btw tell how your RX-8's doing, cuz that's definitely what I'm sticking with if we eventually get ID5 over here. |

Had to try out akagi after watching that '44"9 vid. Did a 46"4 in about 6 games |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 22 2009, 08:18 PM |
@Lunar I havent tried any other car as of yet, but I'm assuming all FR's are really. really. slippery. She doesnt seem to have any unbalance issues though, so it feels like she's an average contender. I just noticed something. Braking is like boost. You dont notice it on your speedometer, but you will feel it hold you back physically. |

Akagi DH now at 2'46"8xx with a line and boost strategem I tried out. I think I found my map. Made an FD Type R but probably wont do any Akagi UH soon because gonna learn Tsukuba OB. Man, Im excited for that patch happening... In other news, tried a bone stock FD RS and got a 3'15 flat in Akina DH. Car is gay. |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 23 2009, 10:29 AM |
Got 47'8 Akagi DH and 00"5 Happo IB with FD RS today. :/ Satisfactory day I suppose. :/ |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 23 2009, 09:58 PM |
Happo CLEAR! pushing 6th gear right before braking hard is quite the thrill. First battle was against some random chick ( A CHICK! I NEVER THOUGHT IT POSSIBLE! MANUAL TOO! *Insert various sexist blather*) with a GDBF down Akina. It was decently exciting to discover i could COAST the consecs at 90+. Only loss was Nagao Uphill; which seems to be my weakness. Nagao DH was alot faster than when I first tried to tackle it upon the discovery that A.) 3rd gear can be maintained so long as I'm going 90-85s on curves and B.) Turning is actually more forgiving at high speeds than I thought. Im slowly mastering the system. |

I feel..Really stupid and funny at the same time, been trying to Break My Akagi DH Dry 2"49'xxx, I began experimenting.. 1st Try CP1 -0"00'5xx CP2 -0"00'3xx CP3 +0"00'3xx CP4 +0"00'5xx Results a New Record, faster by 0"00'007 And then I do another run, again, faster by 0"00'062 I tried another method CP1 +1"00'2xx CP2 -0"300'xxx CP3 +0"500'xxx CP4 -0"300'xxx Sad Face~ I tired Slow Fast Slow Fast, Slow Slow Fast Fast, Go All Out, and it all turn out the same Maybe I'm just gay at keeping My Lines, but I know that My Lines are neat already Or maybe it's all because of My Basic Technique, cos I don't have any Special Trick Tsukuba OB Dry 3"06'xxx and Nagao DH Dry 3"21'xxx I believe I could get at least 20's on Nagao, don't know about Tsukuba, but Akagi DH Dry is really bugging Me rite now Some Guides would be appreciated |

Akagi DH FC3S - 2'52'4 (1-0-0-0-1) Been busy, but decided to make a FC3S. It will also have an FD and an MR-S. Probably will be making the course cars slowly, one by one. |

after a short appt went st8 to Mid Valley for a few games ... after being stuck at akina dhd at .09.9xx i really want to break it n i still have IN's TA on my akina at .09.432 all this while ... after trying out for so long i thought tonite will be the nite but i was so nearly there with one of my most cleanest n closest runs ever ... cp1 -.009, cp2 -.1xx n cp3 -.3xx n i would have thought this could be it until the last corner ... sighhhhh at the end was able to do a .09.5xx with my 86 so near but yet so far if not for that stupid last corner boost ... managed to cut down my akagi dhd to 48.9xx with my 86 n a nice try out at akina dhw at .18.5xx ... my E7 i tried it out in akina uhd n managed to do a .17.8xx ... hmmm if not for the lag in boost at my akina dhd last corner i would say it was a fruitful evening ... as anyone would agree there's always another day ... |
Posted by: stormfox May 26 2009, 03:03 PM |
ran my E7 today after a long break... >_< kinda lost the feel of it after playing too much with the E3 and E9 untuned cars... only notable one is Akagi Dh 2'50''7xx after 3x. can still go lower by at least 1s. cos i literally ran wider for all of the last set of hairpins. >_< whaaattt wass i dooooooiiiiinnnnggggg... |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 27 2009, 04:44 AM |
Tried to break my Happo IBD with my FD (stuck at 00"5) with a bunch of games.... ...and failed. Oh well, at least I got a few battles :/ |
Posted by: stormfox May 27 2009, 07:00 AM |
2'50"074 Akagi Dh with Evo7.... >_< still have not much clue how to take the last right corner... |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 27 2009, 07:38 AM |
off gas just before the curve starts (u shud be 132 on 3rd gear), release down to 128, full gas first THEN full lock, shift up to 4th at 132. |
Posted by: Heron May 28 2009, 06:18 AM
Now I curse the fact that I did not see your post... I smashed my head against Akagi DH today, to no results. Tried 2 rounds of Irohazaka DH and gt 3'09'0xx... T_T |
Posted by: Rei.G May 28 2009, 07:22 AM |
Today i tried to FT my supra. At 7-7-7-0-7, im surprise that i got a 3'19"550 on Nagao Uphill. As the arcade is closing, i wasted the rest of my credit to turbo tune my supra 7-7-7-6-7.(just left 1 step only ) |
Posted by: Heron May 28 2009, 07:38 AM |
Good job man. I wish I can have more credits...wanna FT my FC3S... |
Posted by: Rei.G May 28 2009, 07:48 AM
i wanna faster finish my TZ credits because i dont wanna play at TZ, switch my playground to whitesand zone x . |
Posted by: Heron May 28 2009, 08:02 AM |
I see...only Zone X near my place is at AMK Hub... Lazy to travel just to play though. Northpoint's within walking distance. =D My FC3S Iro DH timing is at 3'13'x...did it when it was 1-1-1-1-1. Quite surprised, to be frank. |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 28 2009, 08:10 AM |
FC3S now at 7-7-6-0-0...ran something like a 49"0 Akagi DH with it :/ not good. |
Posted by: stormfox May 28 2009, 09:10 AM
thanks man, i'll try it out the next time i go Akagi TAing |
Posted by: J]-[UN May 28 2009, 09:22 AM |
Yea its pretty damn hard to get the right lining for akagi, I'm terribly inconsistent with cp1. Sometimes I can acclerate really early, sometimes I get the tailslide. I played a couple of rounds on iro last weekend after a long break from it with my MR2 and was surprised to get a 06"5 and a 06"7. Didn't look at the speeds at all, i just concentrated on line. |
Posted by: -ShinRei- May 28 2009, 05:56 PM |
Got Akagi DH Dry 2"48'5xx Tsukuba OB Dry 3"05'xxx and Nagao DH Dry 3"20'5xx I'm beginning to understand more about the game, I'm sure I could get better times than these later, hehe |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 29 2009, 02:30 AM |
I had a small chance to play today, but as I went to grab credits someone slipped in the empty seat. I can still feel the echoes of that mental "DAMMIT!" reverberating through my skull. Well, watched two guys play. Phil players; we should really, REALLY make IDW known where ID5 is being played. It's just SAD to see a perfectly good gc8 with a driver that has next to no clue on what he's doing. Said GC8 left challenges on; and got dusted pretty thoroughly by an FT E9 in Tsukuba. Does anyone know anyone with a card 'Leng_2'? He seemed decently fast. |
Posted by: chin571 May 29 2009, 07:42 AM
what's your card name? i see him pretty often at G4 and/or mega. was at G4 earlier this evening but no one was playing, so no one to battle, so didn't play. |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 29 2009, 08:41 AM |
People were playing right after I got out of the cinemas, I was out seeing Night at the museum. Card name's Eonia. I'm probably going to be the only White RX8 around G4 for a while. |

a bunch of my frnds and i are going to G4 2mrw afternoon to play IDAS5. u should come. intorduce yourself. |
Posted by: sdlahz May 29 2009, 09:19 AM
lucky you. all the timezones near my place which is either northpoint or causeway point is just a expressway bus ride away. Maybe i could meet you someday to play perhaps? maybe on a sun afternoon. |
Posted by: DigiBunny May 29 2009, 08:36 PM |
Yknow what really makes your day? When your parental unit is just as car-happy as you and drags you out of bed RIGHT when the malls open just to freaking play ID5. Him and his stupid Evo screwed up right after the fireworks turn, going in too early and eating wall. BAH. Nagao UH is apparently MUCH harder than Downhill. Lost against the Supra twice, both times in Cp4. Once being passed on a corner, the other on the longer curvers at the end because I over braked one. Akina is still 3'27. I can see WHY though; I'm getting wall contacts on the curves, im not sure how to enter the snake curves and maintain what kind of speed with how much pressure I'm putting on the accelerator, im LATE braking alot, and my line with the consecs is just fail. On the OTHER hand, now I know how to improve. Yipee! |
Posted by: stormfox May 30 2009, 07:27 AM |
Played 10 games today... i'm starting to get the hang of Iro dh and Nagao dh... long way to go though Iro Dh 3'11 Nagao Dh 3'23 ah... so many things to try... so little time and money... ahhh.. lol Any of you play wet? i find that the brakes sucks in wet and the car understeers in the corners more =.= @DigiBunny: you may want to try early braking instead? i find that akina like early braking more. if you are struggling anywhere... it may be a sign of overspeeding or improper steering/braking timing. may.. not always. good luck! |
Posted by: Rei.G May 30 2009, 07:36 AM |
normally for wet, i brake about 1.5 car length earlier for hairpins. and not to take curves with high revv in wet, u will tend to sway out of line. |

Finally hit 2'59"9 with my FD on Happo IBD today. Also did 2'46"7 Akagi DH with my FC. Had a couple of battles too. Good day |

01"4 happo ib and 05"4 or 5 OB with 86 @_@ *sob sob* |

Story mode finished! The only problem is Keisuke if you get stuck in a gutter later; and during the final section. he will PUSH and PUSH and PUSH. hell, I think I won by 0.1m. Takumi's fairly easy; he passes you early, but then you just tail him until the middle of the course, floor it on the straights and dust him. He will Blind attack IF he's close enough. My heart was beating twice as fast when Bunta showed up. Only this time, I was able to take im down the first try. Second time though, he pulled the same trick he used on me in V4 ( not kidding, the EXACT same spot. ) after the consecs, and just got faster. and faster. and faster. One battle with what LOOKED like a stock evo3. Lost in Tsukuba OB both times; but I did glean a few tidbits. One is that I'm more daring when using shortcuts, and I have an alarming tendency to understeer badly on the downhill section's start. Met Brian unexpectedly. I would have battled ya, but I was out of my monies that needed to be put to work feeding my stomach. Yeah. I LIKED today, despite the quirks. |

went to Yishun TZ and made some discoveries today on Miyogi dh and managed to shave 0.3 secs off my time. continued my experimenting on miyogi dh till i was bored. Den i TA-ed tsukuba ob for a couple of rounds and managed a slow 3'07. tink i can do much better. |
Posted by: Phoenix_Cypher_K1 May 31 2009, 05:36 AM |
FT'd the FC, ran 46'5 Akagi DH...also ran 50.4 Myogi UH with the FD RS. That's about it for today. |
