Well Here's to hoping that Sega will do a port of stage 7. I have no real faith that they will but maybe if we will it it will happen.

The sad thing is IDES wasn't a bad game. The game is pretty true to the arcade and even added extra stuff. If you happened to be lucky and get a Japanese version online races are solid. The downfall of the game is that it's based off of the worst version of Arcade Stage. They tried to change to much with IDS4 and I think it turned off a lot of fans.

hmm well yeah same here I consider IDES to be a good game but the problem is, they chose IDAS4 as their base so pretty much we all know where would it lead in terms of game play...

but still IDAS6 would be a great idea and since we live in a day of age that online content can be easily be made available for all so why not add additional content or even make an "International" version of the game too, not just for Japanese and Asian players to really fully utilize..

I can see it now.. IDES2 would be like IDAS6 but you can play at the comforts of your home xD ohhh yeah that would be something

I would rather wait for them to finialize the damn game before releasing another

Seriously do you want a game that could possibly be inferior to a newer version that most likely will come out.

Someone else would be asking for a newer port after that.
It would never end.

It still got a "Playstation 3 The Best" treatment though, I don't know how good they have to sell to get that but I guess its better than nothing. ID4 in hindsight probably was not a good decision to make a port but back then they made ports in sequence. ID2 got the PS2 port while ID3 got the PSP port, so ID4 for PS3 was kinda of a logical step. In that sense, the lack of an ID5 port after all this time is sort of worrying.

I really love ID6, and with it coming to an end soon (with ID7 around the horizon and all), I guess a way to internalize it at home would be kinda cool, even ID5 would be nice.

With the new anime coming out, I'm really excited for Initial D. The only thing that can double that if Sega decides to eventually release a port of ID5 or 6(preferably the latter). I wonder though, if the new anime is successful enough will Sega decide to go through with it, or whether anything will?

i really hope that one day they make a port of ver.5
... but since ver.7 is in the making right now, a port of ver 5 is looking slimmer by the second ><

If you're fed up with waiting forever, bite the bullet and bring one of these babies home one day. rolleyes.gif
