| Anyone living in singapore who can play ID5 well? cause i just cant catch the right timing for turning. ID5's gets too drifty now |

| you need to read the other ID5 thread (the one with 50+pages).. we are all speaking there... =.= ID4 more drifty than ID5 lo... take the lessons from the ID Anime(especially Keisuke and his FD lessons) and apply... throttle control throttle control  full power in corners and you'll end up like Keisuke in Stage1 Episode1.. TailSlide! so... no more full powering through corners. more simulation... less Need For Speed then again... it may be a good idea for us to speak here instead... we are seriously torturing other ppl who are still awaiting their ID5.  |

| IDAS5 requires more braking. Try to learn the late-braking technique as shown in the anime. and also Keisuke's training in tsukuba regarding his throttle control. Turning wise, try to turn as little as possible as turning too much will cause the car to lose too much speed. |

start with early braking first.. Brake... release... turn in... turn out... accel away then slowly move the braking+release to overlap into the turn in Step by step.. baby steps |

| yea, late braking is a more advance technique. i just FT my FD today, using late braking technique(still braking to initiate the first 1/2 cornering), i managed a 2.51.790 on akagi Uphill. i am still experimenting it. |

sooon...we can share pointers.....very sooooooooon... haha..at ultradd : jiayou jiayou.if ray can hit a '05 in a fd in tsukuba, i believe you can definitely hit a faster timing. one good way i can think of is to view the clip that the jap posted and try to see which area u can further improve on. at ray: haha i hope so too! faster den u i cant cfm as your timing are pretty quick! i only hope that i can do the same once my car is ft.. maybe next wk or so ? haha |

i am 22 now.. getting old... missed the times when ID 3 came out though.... now not much freedom as what we have in the past... most of us are becoming working slaves to support ourselves... lol... 1 week work 5 to 6days for me...  sometime 1 week 1 off day nia... lack freedom and time to rest not to mention spend time with family and friends or even girlfriend...  |

Back to topic, i realised that the physics and braking points are quite similar to the Kaido series of games, just with a bit more sliding and no handbrake to assist in breaking traction.... |

| useful as in, say an arcade in the middle of no where gets idas5 ... spend big $$ getting it and cant afford it to put it online or the area the arcade is in has no internet access then this will sort of keep people playing at the arcade without having to travel somewhere to renew or send cards oversea's to renew...handy in that way but eventually card get dirty =.= |

| If one day. sega announced that version exp is just to satisfy oversea players in short term until the full international version is released. All exp cards cant be transffered because there are no key numbers and so on .. what will you all react ? haha |

those 0 Online Battles with A3 rank are those ppl who got A3 rank in ID4 then converted their cards over. They retain their old rank on conversion. Mystery solved!  @art84: pro matches not so fast ba... 95% of us are still tuning our first car leh... then probably 90% of us are figuring out what is happening in the game. |

| lol.. to tell u the truth... not all zone x outlets keeps tracks... they have to update and key in the MIP's particulars in their store 1st.... like if u make card from JP, u go cck or amk, they dont have ur details... so if u break or lost ur MIP card, u have to wait till they get their updated information from their HQ which will take about 1 or 2 weeks... well some of them forget to call and u have to go down there next week to ask again.... |

| I got a timing of 3'19 on akina dhd with my trueno- 7-0-0-0-0. Some people on this forum say they got like 3'17 stock?! yea, it's deep. slow in cp1 and 2 = VERY fast in cp3 and 4 slow in cp1, fast in cp2 and 3,=moderate in cp4. most importantly, aim best lines |

| hmm... ah.. strategy... pick your attacking points carefully... now this is getting very very very interesting but the good thing is... even when lacking this knowlege.. its possible to be decently quick to have some fun games and not feel horribly left out. theres something for the mainstream and extra for the pros i like this. in ID4.. PC.. either you get it... or you don't. the game blows when the person does not get what PC is and is left out wayyyyy behind. |

but it's very frustrating to use the new method. always seeing your first 2 cp + more than 1~2sec, morale down. then checkpoint 3 tend to offset the timings. finally breaking your own record with fast checkpoint 4. |

driving style not much different, maybe no differences at all. (remember mark@ 2'57 happo run? his last check point run is like super sonic compare to his 3'00 vid) the screen may fly a bit faster but your speedometer remains about the same. |

| very interesting indeed. my tsukuba out is now 3'02''9xx , and i have experimented 2 ways of attacking tsukuba using this boost effect.i'm using the boost for my cp2 and 3 instead of 3 and 4 as i can't control my car well for cp4 when the car is godspeed, i will have to relearn cp4. Both attacking points should give similar results, not sure abt the rest of the maps. so it is best to use the boost effect for your best cps. it is also better to attack the course normally first to find your limit, i only discover this boost effect yesterday after watching some videos. V5 is fun isn't it. |

from the looks of Mark's 3'00 and 2'57 happo run... te speeds doesn't look much different at sector4. would have been nice if there is some visible speed/understeer differences depending on tire wear though.. rather than "it feels faster". |

| Hmm I compared both Happo vids, in the 3 min run, Mark's CP1 was about almost 1 sec faster than the 2'57 run, and he was taking the 4 hairpins in cp3 around the high 60's-70kmph. In the 2'57 vid he was taking pretty much everything slower in cp1 and 3 but his cp4 was noticeably faster even though the speeds were about the same =s I guess I'll try this out in akina later...slow cp1 and 2 and see if I can abuse the boost for cp3 and 4 since there are so many long straights = | I'm pretty sure this bug was unintentional...probably a side effect from the new acceleration penalty system =\ This game is actually pretty simple to understand ~_~ |

| Alo' ReiG, how friggin slow are you supposed to do cp1 and cp2 for akina in order to get the boost for cp3/cp4??? I can't get it to work the way I want to (tried it in tsukuba/akina). Heron -> Even without the boost you shouldn't be losing much speed in the final cp4 stretch, if I remember correctly I could reach the right hander around 162 usually with my MR2, then come out from that right-left curve thingy around 158 or so. |

Eh...a difference of 5-10km/h isn't so bad...I mean in Akina you could take the 1st hairpin at around 80km/h. But in the 3'08 Akina DH vid the exit speed is at around 74km/h? Have to just figure out. |

| Shini, I don't think it's appropriate to go that far with your advertising for SgRacer to the point where it gets a tad too offensive. Do chill and leave the folks here alone.. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with them browsing more active forums where they can gain tips from professional players locally and also internationally. SgRacer could perhaps make an effort to spruce up more hits by initiating active discussions on gameplay aspects and stuff, such as in the case of some of the threads we see here. But anyway. Speaking as a veteran player of the Singapore IDAS community (since v2 days), I'm glad to see local interest for the game has risen with this latest version release. Taking things from our Ny3oC's perspective, more players = more competition = more incentive/motivation to improve our local timings; something we'd be most happy to do/see. However, with regards to the gameplay - While I don't deny that forums exist for discussions, I think, that like what my teammate Bu`DoNg pointed out, I would like to actively encourage all Singapore-based players to experiment and make conclusions on your own eventually. I mean, I just couldn't help noticing that there can be a lot of 'duh' responses in this thread, plus some questions that even the better players are clueless to, the game still being in its early phases. Newbies are forgiven, but it's queer to see established names ask silly questions. All I can say is, if you haven't hit a better timing than that of the run on any available video clips, watch it closely and copy/adapt/reinvent an ideal line to attack the course in your own good time. It's good to also make reference to the IR to track progress. So far, we've worked out that slow = fast and also that it helps to exercise tire management in between CPs. Hope (Singapore) players can take more of an individual initiative to figure and advance things on their own from here instead of getting 'spoon-fed'. That's how I have been progressing - If I can do it, anyone can yah. Thank you and good luck in your timings people. |

bingo. there are ppl there. mainly decent players. but where are the discussions. its easier to attract new blood to post when there is already a discussion going on rather than pushing them into the room and hope that they find something to talk about. it doesn't make sense for people to migrate if they don't feel that they are going to get much input at all over there. |

You say since V1. Yup, I've been playing this game since V1 too. True that some things remain the same regardless of which country it is. But since we're talking about Singapore, let's talk about what we do here, and our rules. For example, we don't have Boost On matches from V1 to V3. Don't talk about V4 honestly, I don't wanna go there. While in HK or JP or maybe even your country, Boost On matches are the norm, not in Singapore though.
If a nobody like Reyherks gets to you so easily, that's your case. If you think you're the only affected one, then I'm sorry to burst your bubble. He's caused the same damage to the SG ID community forum as well. We had to shut down registrations for a while. We suffered clone attacks on MSN, but we endured it. What's the point of bringing all this up? That you suffered more than us? Hey, we chose not to 'gripe' about the entire incident, that's all. If you want me to display some honest evidence of 'fast timings', I'm sad to say that I'm not going to entertain you. Though some old birds who know me (if they even exist here in the first place, or are willing to tell you who I am) will tell you my 'life story', which is pretty boring so you don't wanna hear it. | LoL. Rei, what is your definition of fast? Akina Downhill Dry below 3'20? The definition of 'fast' is still very vague. 'Fast' players are trying to push their timings each day, hence they probably don't feel the need to upload a timing today, and then update it again tomorrow. When they feel that they've hit Hadrian's wall (rather low though), then probably they'll update. We're encouraging the people here, locals... who share their timings all the time here, to come challenge the unofficial local timings board that mods and players have so painstakingly setup to accommodate timings. It's an old and reknowned SG local forum. No need for more words for you Rei, your timing is already there. So I'm letting everyone else who ALWAYS share their timings here, yet shun the local timing board...POST IT, PROVE IT. |

| I gotta admit Namco did a real good job in making Wangan appeal to the mass-market. All those 'minigames (ghost battles/challenge)' and car-mods and stuff give even the sucky players something to play for. I'm surprised Sega hasn't taken a page out of their book yet (aka stolen their idea, unless its been patented). |

| Wah, you guys still remember HIRA sia. Anyway, I believe that I still got so much to learn. It's not even funny when I am 4-6 seconds away from my car WR and I am doing things mostly ok. And just going for the game blindly. Now I still have to relook at my Akina DH last right hander and the S-curve to make myself go faster, maybe breaking the 3'10 barrier. Zzz...besides, I do think I always post in the international forums on my timings, but I always try to push it harder. It's merely for me a reminder on how much I have to do. Even back in v3 days. BTW any news on any form of nationals in SG this year? Never been to one...since I am a noob and all. |

1 shot multiple tuning team sticker  .. from what i read on the Jap ID wikihouse, these are featured under paid services. the free services is just the IR thats about it. there is another feature until paid service, Online Garage, basically we can buy parts with pts and store them in the garage and just log on and change the parts anytime. anyone in Japan can confirm these??? these are based off what is read and lousy translations. as for national battles... if the internet latency makes it cheesy.. i rather not have it. |

| eh i just started playing V5 yesterday just brought my card went to timezone play cos got the sunday promotion (top $20 give $40 value, top $50 give $100 value) thing i play until the arcade close i still left $38. I lost more than 10 matches in Akina's AE86 I got question to ask how come my AE86 steps already reach 7-1-0-0-0 but i can't seem to accelerate in gear 5 instead of speed up my speed constantly remain the same and just turning A LITTLE bit the speed drops.. is it the accelerate problem or i'm still not qualified to beat Akina's AE86? |

| lolz.. my 1st loss i lose around 140+m than i play other map go back Akina's AE86 again become better maintain 80-120++m for around 4+ matches maintain another 2 match at 20-40+m, last 2 two match at Akina's AE86 i still remember clearly.. cos my 2nd last i lost by 2.1m!!!! IT'S OMG!!! my last match which i overtook by 18+m i didn't know how i did it too so this sunday going to play and polish my skill.. |

thats why i didnt mention tire management specifically. just drive in a smooth stable manner. and naturally the only way possible is to slow down. how can one be smooth and stable when the car is fishtailing? it worked on a couple o friends once they force themselves to be slow and steady rather than fast and fishtailing |

when i do the jump thing my speed always 50+ to 60+ and you know the out-in-out thing? try applying to it when doing the jump thing quite useful but don't use it too early cos u might stuck on the railing.. using that iro map should be easy ba.. i ran the 1st and 2nd guy 1 time complete the map liao.. oh btw, watch out after all those turning corner cos if you not familiar you might ram 1 of the wall which is right after those turning / near ending. |

| hey regarding the jumping thing, since u said that ur speed is about 50+ to 60+ then i my as well drift... cuz my exit speed is aprox 70+ leh. sorry rather new to this game jus started 3 days ago.... after watching some videos i realised its not mostly about the jumpy thing but i choked at the last drifiting part just before the straightway to the finish... so maybe my fault.. tend to get excited at that point and crash..... |

| well we all have different style of playing for the jumpy thing for me i think that u use a shorter road you can actually accelerate more so it will cover the lag of speed during the turn and i'm not really sure with my exiting speed but what i saw during my turn the lowest speed i every go is 50+... |

| Never EVER touch any walls. with your nose or your butt. NEVER. if you dont touch anything... i think shouldnt lose to any lvl1 AI in general. Takes a while to get used to. but do that first before trying any funny stuff I find AI lvl6 starting to get interesting for driving a Stock car on tracks like Happo and Nagao... lol... i probably suck at overtaking. --------------------------------------------------- Zone X has promotions. Currently is Downtown East Zone X top up $20 get and extra $20. Only up to end of April. need to find the brochure though.. may be getting rare already cos its already near the end of April. |

| In the past when X-T was active, there was this particular bugger whose face I haven't really forgotten, he went around challenging people and telling them openly that he was from Team X-Treme. We caught the chap at Suntec. Baited him with our top tier Irohazaka Downhill player (Sam Itsuki)... he then said, "I'm from Team X-Treme. The most pro team in SG!" Right. Sam smoked him silly and then said, "I'M FROM THE REAL X-T!" and the whole team that was waiting in ambush behind, quickly crowded around him, I swore he nearly peed in his pants. It felt kinda like gangsterism, but we let him off with a stern warning. He can keep the card, but NEVER let us hear the name of Team X-T... otherwise... Damn. I still have the bracelet that we made for X-T members. |

After seeing those picture and discussion i feel like buying new card liao =.=!!! hope i'm not the next guy who pee in my pants... gene.gene™ : I lazy to top on sunday play on other day leh.. mostly i top on sunday i try to spend ALL on sunday if cannot spend finish when i go for next top-up i treat it as my bonus game lor btw i don't live anywhere near to arcade, my nearest 1 is Bugis which i don't like cos over there those tekken player they are damn fierce man versus them they always like to rape those buttons.. imagine how loud in the arcade and you still manage to hear them pressing the buttons.. |

| Yo guys. Went to Tampines Mall Timezone to play recently...finally maxed out my tuning for my Supra. And got imo an amazing timing for me. Supra Akagi UH - 2'53'5xx (Tuning 7-7-5-7-7) For some strange reason, I think 2'52 is not out of the question for me. And Tampines's machines are so much better than in Yishun's...sigh. Got a RX-7 Type RS as my third car. It feels ok, handling somewhere in between my 86L and Supra...=) --------------------------------------------------------------- 001. | Team X-T disbanded due to many personal reasons, mainly that members were going into new and important stages in their lives, such as NS, settling down with GF bla bla bla. Yep, we're quite 'old' already. A few members of our team are already married. The only ones left playing are those in Team Ny3oC. We were invited by the then leader of Ny, commonly known as Ah Sad to join the team. It was under a lot of pressure. Believe me. Even now, I don't play that often. Have to juggle the finances between the real thing and school fees, and whatever stuff that's needed for the academic years ahead. Will upload more pictures from one of the most (or already THE MOST) successful team/s in SG ID history. Need to get 'em from my old HDD. |

i don't hate noobs cos i'm just like them and yeah i know your feeling but i think i got a worst situation.. One fine day my friend and i went to Tampines that arcade don't know call what but is using coin 1 not TimeZone.. called cs? something like that. I wanna try MT with my friend's card, i purposely wait until very little people liao than play cos i scared i lost my concentration and bang all the way than i think there was this kid too short standing behind me and i didn't notice after i play finish i heard he say to his friend "this guy damn noob sia" i ji tao swiftly turn my head over (wanna give him a stare) and i saw a kid pointing his finger at me=.=!!! i saw until kid sia.. what can i do? i act blur lor "huh? what you say just now?"
