I hate FL tutorials

Confirmed for not having seen anything from FrankJavCee. tongue.gif

Let me correct that.

Okay re-watched the FrakieJVC video again ... confirmed that all YT tutorials whether on Mac's or PC's are all junk including his funny-yet-still-inept IDM video derp.gif ~

This is by far the best tutorial I've seen & it's not even a tutorial →

YOUTUBE ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=CfCmoEixxro )

Yeah fsck that shiz, screw not going to school... I need a bloody fscking art-school class or to suck some dank DJ's fader & become his apprentice or get an internship at a real studio :V

Edit: I just noticed that Garrix sounds exactly like MaxSteam sempai... wub.gif

So your musical understanding is even lower than mine then, if that did nothing for you tongue.gif

Alright, clearly you're looking for something extra specific. Give us an idea of what you're really looking for, really narrow it down, and I'll either find an appropriate tutorial for you or figure out the damn thing and teach it to you myself.

You also have the option of just paying sacks of cash to a ghost producer awesome.gif

Exactly my friend. I need to learn how to make a vox track sound

From this →

YOUTUBE ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=lXMskKTw3Bc )

(& don't give me that bullshiz about better microphones & singing lessons cause not even Michael Jackson & Freddie Mercury can sing.
FACT: Everybody sucks at singing ~ give me an example of a good singer & I'll show you how much he/she sucks.)

Into this →

YOUTUBE ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=gdx7gN1UyX0 )

PS: Eurobeat is shit-AMV DDR music. The best eurobeat song ever made is Usher's More Jimmy Joker Remix by Red One & even that's still not that shit-genre called eurobeat;
Hyper Techno is just garbage synth/vocal loops for drunk people/dancers. :/

--- --- ---

tl;dr: I need to figure out a way to process a vocal track ... but I probably need a huuuge expensive studio/compressors/sound engineer in LA/Stockholm/Toronto/London/Milan/Barcelona/New York/Seoul.
Nothing good ever came outta Tokyo 'sides one or two tracks from the PSG soundtrack.

I need to figure out a way to process a vocal track ... but I probably need to mess around with an equalizer until the important frequencies stand out, maybe use Audacity to pitch-shift and time-stretch specific parts of the waveform, and then maybe add a subtle bit of reverb and/or some other effects.

Fixed that for ya.

Let's consider the EQ step to be step 1. Speaking as someone who's used to having to readjust his laptop's eq settings everytime he gets a new set of headphones, I get the feeling you can figure out this step on your own, especially if you're doing this in a DAW that'll let you hear eq effects in real-time and give you a spectrogram to work with. Just mess with the settings until it saunds gudder. Maybe you think there's too much high frequency noise in the recording. Then you go turn down the frequencies that best correlate to the noise you want gone. Low frequencies overpowering everything else? Turn down low freqs or turn up mid freqs. There, two simple examples of ways you can eq a recording into something better.
You basically just have to mess around with stuff until the sound becomes clearer/the right parts of the sound get boosted. Might be time consuming at first, but I wouldn't call it impossible to figure out.

So yeah, just try the eq step for now. Adjust the parts of the sound you think need adjusting. If your attempts work: great. If not, then we'll go over this in more detail; detail I'll withhold for now to avoid a tl;dr post/info overload.
As for the other steps: let's save those for later.

By the way, the most surefire way of figuring out anything about a DAW is to actually mess around with it, and mess around with it a lot. That's how I figured out half the stuff I know in regards to synths.

P.S: There are also custom EQ presets for Audacity floating out there. Some googling may or may not turn up something that fits your needs.

Meteor my friend I'd totally start a rockband with you if I could leave the country awesome.gif ~

Yeah I've no clue what I'm doing & I hate Audacity as much as I hate myself for being such a fuck'up.

I need a person to do it in front of me like I'm 5 y/o ~ one of these days I'll figure out how-to hit the rec. button on this thing... orz

For the past two days in the morning at work, I listened to the OST to FFXV from beginning to end, all 5+ hours of it straight, and it's really not good enough to describe what I feel in words, but this has got to be one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard. I don't into KH so I don't know of Yoko's reputation, but she did a really great job composing for this game, considering she didn't put much initial importance in her work when XV was originally "JUST" supposed to be the "spin-off" Versus XIII. Definitely worth keeping on my MP3 player, along with the XIII trilogy and what Masashi/Mitsuto/Naoshi did.

And it all makes me wonder why many FF players think Nobuo is the only one who can do good music.

Dragonball music is only great when composed by Kikuchi (BGM) or Kageyama (OP/ED).

Falcouner's renditions were pretty good, actually, especially Vegeta's SSJ theme and Goku's SSJ3 theme. Plus, likely in part to his copying other good music, Yamamoto's tracks were fun, especially for the DBZ fighting games. Of course, I have no illusions about how he ripped the majority of them off, for instance using "Open Your Heart" by Madonna as Perfect Cell's theme in Super Butouden 1, or "Eleanor Rigby" by The Beatles for the opening to Super Butouden 2, or Judas Priest for basically everything in the Budokai series... awesome.gif

Faulconer wasn't reliably good, in my opinion. I liked his later work in the Cell saga and beyond, but his early work left a lot to be desired.

this sounds so much like it belongs to a death metal song chorus: The Blackest Night falls from the skies, The darkness grows as all light dies, We crave your hearts and your demise, By my black hand, the dead shall rise! *raising my ring up to the sky*

im not much into the comic book scene by this oath sounds so damn good smile.gif. not sure why it does but i feel like playing a bit of Blackguard now with a nice bowl of fresh brains for a light snack blink.gif .

Saw a cute chick today at Winco today. Not only did she have a nice purple/fading pink dyed hair..

she also had corpse paint on.

It almost looked like that, think there was more crazy lines around the eyes and mouth. Either way, she looked hot, nice back patch of some band I don't know.

My friend told me she can find out where someone is on the internet through only the most ambiguous of a clue and she ended up finding my user handle, just as she said.

I HOPE SHE SEES THIS.

Oh, she will...maybe. I told her if she found out what forum I post at, she'll also find me on a hentai site, since I told her I buy and scan/upload doujins for the "greater good". She was amazed that I "pay actual money to buy hentai". Hell yes, I do. cool.gif

We share the same kind of interests, social behavior, and brain problems; big focus on the last part, since it's not easy to find people as weird as I am in this city, short of the default of my brothers, so it's hard for me to connect with people while putting extreme limits on my power levels.

Well...I mean there are weird people in this city too, but they're more like crackhead weird, you know.

Also: fuck the G-BOOM bluetooth boombox. This is the second LiPo battery it's eaten in its life, and the second one was an aftermarket swap. Just full-stop arbitrarily stops working, no response on being plugged in either. There's either something wrong with the charger or the internal board, but I'm done with this. Might give the Onyx Studio 2 a try, reads like a good speaker.
