How are you guys planning on completing the series? Ebay Japan? Are you guys putting up a paypal or something similar that happened when idforum tried to do the revival section?

yeah but used CD shops dont ship outside japan, so you need someone, plus its 300 yen shipping inside japan. So 1 yen CDs comes out to like 6-8 bucks each tongue.gif

Yeah 7-8 bucks is the minimum I could get a CD for or 6 bucks a piece if I buy in bulk.

EDIT

Keep in mind that some volumes are rarer than others, the cheapest price out there for these could be up to 30-40 bucks or even more!

Dunno how we should work. If we gather the money first and then try to bid in auction or the other way around, find the auction first and them make the pool.

I can set up a paypal account for donations to pool our money and we can look for the lowest prices with the money already available. I can make a cost list based on whats on amazon JP.

eh i dunno setting up a separate paypal seems a bit trivial. I think starting from the first volumes and then working up the money based on those would be more reasonable instead of trying to amass the money for most of them

I concur dear my friend, we could break it up into phases based on the different names the series has had:

Phase 1 - Vol. 01 - Vol. 13: Super Club Groovin'
Phase 2 - Vol. 14 - Vol. 24: Super Club Groovin' - House Revolution
Phase 3 - Vol. 25 - Vol. 49: House Revolution
Phase 4 - Vol. 50 - Vol. 90: Super Dance Freak (SDF)

EDIT
This is to complete the entire Super Club Groovin' section (price in USD)
Super Club Groovin' 1991 The Best Of House Trax 15.27
The Best Of Super Club Groovin' 1992 10.24
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 1 14.73
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 2 17.19
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 3 11.94
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 4 16.62
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 5 9.03
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 6 8.41
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 7 XX
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 8 20.95
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 9 10.24
King & Queen Presents Super Club Groovin' Vol. 10 Anniversary Techno Megamix 7.14
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 11 11.17
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 12 8.45
Super Club Groovin' Vol. 13 XX

TOTAL $161.38
This is what it would actually cost to order them myself.

that's a lot of money considering the number of people that mentioned that would tip in. I know a lot of the users here are older than 21 and have a certain income. Its just a matter of wanting to have the series. I've read what you mentioned on your post before you edit it to the best of maharaja - and its true. At the same time it goes both ways, someone will keep the original cd so that would be a plus.
I've been saying over and over for the past month or so to do the revival music section style of crown funding again. If not enough people contribute, let's say 10, I think it would be better to get together those who wants to have the series and they will decide what to do with the rips themselves later.

Yes that is so true, but also keep in mind that we don't have to pitch in that much at one time. We could pool our money to buy 2 CDs a week(or 2 weeks) depending on how many contribute and the cost of those CDs. The rips could be made available exclusively to the contributors for a while and then after a "grace" period made public.

example, the first two volumes would cost $31.92. Divide that by 10 that's about $3.19 per contributor for that one week (about the price of something!)

Keep in mind that the clock that you saw on that post is still ticking.

Personally, I'm not that interessed. I'm not that much in house or rave.
So, I'm not really willing to spend money on that series.

I'm in and I agree with you, just post where we should send the money and we will start from there.
I'm also more willingly to do contribute cause I've seen a lot of releases here on FLAC that should have been a bit pricey to get and I've started to feel a bit guilty to leech and not contribute. Anyways, yay eurobeat LOL
