Ok, first of all, I was never interested in watching Initial D in the beginning because I thought all there were were cars-relates. But I got hooked onto it without realizing! It's a lot more than I thought! Here are my reasons: 1) Eurobeats 2) cool graphics & drifts 3) seiyuus! (the Takahashi bros' & Takumi's) 4) great characters How about you? |

The storyline was alright, but mainly what I love about Initial D is the cool drifts and cars as well as the CG graphics in the races. The thrill of street racing and racing at such a high level and skill. Finally, the characters are all pretty cool and I live some of the VA for them, especially Takumi and Ryosuke. Add in very catchy Eurobeat music and you got yourselves a pretty addictive anime. |

Old HOT PINK Schmuck Group: Advanced Members Posts: 841 Member No.: 47 Joined: Oct 16th 2002 Location: Montréal, Québec | when i was 11-12 (im 16 now) i was a ricer ...i was interressed in the car scene big cars and having big bucks (living near US = all this). i was interressed in engines, i wanted a civic so i studied the VTEC engine alot, i planning on getting a H22A4 VTEC engine ( last gen. prelude) and someday one of my friend showed me an episode of initial D ....love at first sight i saw the whole serie, after i reviewed all the episode many many times till i was understanding the technicals point and i got interresed in circuit/touge racing and drift/grip racing. I left the 'looks' and 'show' aspect to identify myself as JDM, the japanese way : racing for honor not for st00pid chicks and money ...initial d learned me to love cars the way they are and that its not the looks that count but the power and skills ...sheesh ...long post and thats how i became a Nissan/Nismo fan |

There is this one CRX though, b18, hella suspension work, no weight, and it's a rust bucket. Everyone laughs, but I know the and I just laugh at the other shmucks. I don't know, I've just gotten used to my stuff looking good I guess. |
