My account appears to be so old that it seems to fall afoul of an old policy as regards links - I can't see them. But from the looks of things new accounts can (since I can see someone who posted just twice seems to be able to see links).

Could someone please unhook me from the naughty corner? biggrin.gif

It's not the age of your account per se, it's a combination of factors. Simply requesting a change of status probably won't get you what you want. Participating in the community, however, just might! wink2.gif

tl;dr: links are for accounts that have been active for a while. Make a few legitimate, non-spam posts a day, and the holy IDW webcode will see fit to grant you access to links.
As for how many posts or how many days of posting, pretty much no one other than the owner of this place knows. But just be active without spamming, and you're set. Some stellar newcomers have attempted the spamming route with hundreds of worthless posts, but let's just say that didn't get them anywhere.

This is the best thread. The sheer lack of self-awareness is refreshing. laugh2.gif

Yes, I agree. wink2.gif

Sarcasm aside I am genuinely only confused about my old account and whether it fell into some "legacy" policy. I've been in and out of these boards from time to time over the years, just haven't posted much.

I've resolved the confusion over on Discord anyway.

Yes, situation resolved on Discord, DJ Mike confirmed actually a cool dude, dupe account was made only for testing purposes, and administration is okay with him. No action required smile.gif

What if I like it better when we get action?

You go fast in an Evo. How much more action do you need? tongue.gif

Actually there was a lot of action, just all in the background. Then it was reversed because Perry agreed that being lazy about the issue at hand and allowing a dupe account was better than actively fixing what was legitimately wrong with DJ Mike's account. biggrin.gif
