I've still got a couple of NFS titles around (up to NFSHP), and of course things like DIRT and GRID and Burnout Paradise... but I got wondering how things are looking here in sunny 2015 when it comes to the racing scene on PC. I dunno. Got an itch to hoon around in a '67 Shelby. |

The one thing driving my interest in Windows 10 is the ability to finally play the new Hydro Thunder game that's been out since 8 (but fuck 8). Emulation is nice and all but I have an i7 with a GTX760...time to make console peasants jelly.

Joke's on you, I have Lady Black Heart. Anyway, besides the various exotic car simulators, I think you've named most of the really good ones.

It was one of my favorite driving games growing up, but I couldn't play it anymore because the timer was linked to frame rate. It's more destruction derby than actual racing, but it's fun imo because of the glitches (think Goat Simulator). |

Made by some Italian pasta magic, the game not only looks fantastic, it's also incredibly well optimized. Some would say it singlehandedly took the thunder away from Project cars. The game is in its early phases still despite being officially released. Most of the game breaking bugs have been fixed and the devs are simply adding cars and making sure the game is as polished as possible. It looks fantastic, it sounds fantastic. But how does it play? from what I hear, while its not as good as Iracing, its pretty damn close. But I own the game! so why don't I know how it plays? This game REQUIRES you to use a wheel. Its not like a controller and keyboard won't work, it simply feels unplayable.
The game is also very, VERY generously moddable, so you can often find fan made courses, cars and liveries on the internet.

Well, that's a compelling enough reason for me to put together a driving cockpit.

Yeah but is Live for Speed updated with cars atleast every six months and have loads of upcoming DLC and a LASERSCANNED Nurburgring? I didn't think so. Don't get me wrong, I like Live for Speed but if you want a up to date, content filled, modern racer, asseto is the way to go.
