I pretty much, literally, grew up on Sonic 2, since my dad got a Sega Genesis for me to play on when I would visit on the weekends when he was living with his mom for a couple years...Sonic 2 just had it's 20th anniversary, so I've been playing that damn game since I was 4 years old at the very earliest...HOLY SHIT, that doesn't sound right, but it's close enough... ><

And then there was Pokemon Red a couple years later when I got a Gameboy Pocket...Then came Yellow, then Silver, and then Crystal...

There's too many to count.. The first games I played were on a Sega Genesis. Favorite ones being Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 1-3, NBA Jam, Primal Rage, Gunstar Heroes and Jurassic Park: Rampage Editon.

Then I got a Gameboy Pocket in 5th grade and became obsessed with Pokemon Red. I moved onto Starcraft and Final Fantasy in middle school. I played pretty much all racing games besides a few Final Fantasy games, Kingdom Hearts, and Socom 2 throughout high school.

But if I really had to choose. I'd choose Pokemon Red. Just because of the memories with it.

Gameboy pokemon games are awesome! I will always remember playing those with friends in my childhood. Kingdom of hearts was one of my Favorite games of all times on the ps2! I used only play Final fantasy x, Kingdom of hearts and resident evil when I only owned a ps2 for a short time.

Nice thread here smile.gif , 18 years ago we had the family computer (sold as NES in the US). Can't believe it's been that long.

The cartridge inserted on the famicom in the pic was Battle City, my favorite games back then were:

Top Gun
Contra (up, up, down, down, left, right, left right, B, A, B, A, Select, Start for 30 lives lol)
Double Dragon II
Rockman 1, 3 and 6
Excite Bike
Wrecking Crew
B - Wings

and I still have that Family Computer today, I think it still works, haven't tried plugged it in again and playing it.

also in the PC we had:

Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis
Doom
Warcraft 1
Starcraft
Commander Keen
Cyber Dogs
Sonic 3 and Knuckles
NBA Hangtime

then came the PSone

Legend of Mana
Final Fantasy VIII
Legend of Dragoon
Crash Team Racing
Tekken 3
Legend of Legaia
Chrono Cross
Gran Turismo 2

Lol, I just remembered when I was still a grade school student I envied those who had the original Gameboy just because I wanted to play motocross maniacs on it tongue.gif

I was also a big flight sim player and one of the first ones I actually played was Microprose F-117A Nighthawk 2.0. The game was difficult and missions could take some time but it was real satisfying actually going out, hitting your assigned targets amidst heavy SAM defenses and making it back to base, especially on the harder difficulty levels.

Other PC title favorites.

X-Com: UFO Defense
Master of Orion I+II
EA's USNF
Doom II
Wing Commander
Space Quest IV or V (Had really no idea what I was doing half the time though)

Favorite childhood games? Oi where to start.

Super Metroid
Megaman X
Legend of zelda a link to the past/links awakening
X-Com UFO defence

Theres other games I grew up on, but these are the games I have the fondest memories of. I still regularly pick these games up even to this day to give them a quick play through.

I grew up playing the game cube generations of Nintendo classics, so Smash Bros Melee, Pikmin 1 and 2, Wind Waker ect. The ones that stood out the most were Pikmin 2 and Super Mario Sunshine. I don't know how many hours I spent in my basement playing those games

1) Tekken 2
My first fighting game and my favourite tekken of all time.
2) Medal of Honor (PS1)
My first fps and it had a kickass storyline and awesome multiplayer to boot. I've played so many hours with friends on splitscreen even today.
3) Final Fantasy VIII
The first jrpg I ever played as well. I loved how squall went from being a total jerk to awesome dude by the end.
4) Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer
THIS GAME IS FUCKING INCREDIBLE. BEST STAR WARS GAME EVER. 11/10 ITS JUST SO GOOD.
5) Driver 2
Never did play the single player on this one but I used to play the free roam all the time.

It's a great game! I hope they make it available for either Xbox or Playstation as a download.

I first started gaming in the SNES. Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country were the only ones that I played. Then came along when I got the racing game Top Gear for the SNES (Yes that's what it's called) that game changed my life...
