The physics are very arcade like, its nothing like the first one at all. Seems like the focus is drifting in this game and its pretty easy to do. The first GRID was better in my opinion, but there are more options in GRID 2. There are more mountain passes!!! The Touge mode reminds me of Kaido Battle a bit but the physics aren't as realistic. Its still pretty fun though. If you were expecting a sim, you will be let down, but its still an overall good game. |

Okay, i'm downloading it now! I loved drifting in GRID1 so i am curious to see what they've got in 2. Still not perfect physics eh, doesn't matter. That's what GRID always was.

That guy from Belgium Group: Advanced Members Posts: 541 Member No.: 24,995 Joined: Jun 24th 2007 Location: Someplace you are not | I got my copy today. It drives like dirt 3, so you can throw your car in a corner and drift around, but you can also take corners with ease and grip drive aswell, there's a good border between the 2. Even got some understeer at some points and smashed my car up good. Offline and online are seperated, so nothing you do Offline counts for the online part. The racing is set in tiers based on the cars, so in tier one you got your old mustangs and Nissan 300 Z's and in tier 2 your current gen muscle cars in tier 3 you higher end sport cars and in tier 4 your full on racing cars. There are more car types in the tiers, this is what I found. Track wise, I have only seen 4 tracks, 2 city based ones (Chicago and Miami), 1 curvy road (some route along the coast) and an Indy course and they looked pretty. Haven't touched online yet, but you earn money from competing online to buy cars and upgrade them, no real life money just ingame money, so looking into that later. A nice point for the online part for me was the fact that with the limited edition/Headstart Pack you get a discount off 15% on the cars and upgrades you buy. |

The car doesn't hit the rev when you drift like Initial D Arcade stage v 1~3. Although when you push out of the corner it feel gutless~(The tail come out more early but the exit is far easier & less tail happy.) |

I remember the first Grid, I had to fiddle around with the settings to get it the way I want. Personally didn't like it when I would just steer the wheel 90 degrees and it would be enough for a hairpin already in Grid 1. I would like some personal opinions about this before I shell out $60 in Gamestop today for this. |

No original okutama circuit. No impreza. So that's a pity... This post has been edited by Vortrex on May 30 2013, 06:54 AM |

Which will happen hopefully in a couple of months, like Dirt 3. |

With my Logitech Driving Force GT i have to steer 360 degrees to drift and even more to recover in a Silva S15 in a race... So now my arms hurt, but it's still a lot of fun! I shouldn't complain really, easy wins are easy. online is also the only place where you can upgrade your cars, and with upgrade I mean buying packs that improve the car's stats. when you buy enough packs you can put your car in the next tier and give the car a race style bodykit, and only by this way. When you de-tune it back you'll also lose the bodykit. |

I have my own real Impreza. although it look more like a Corolla awd with a CVT transmission rather than a WRX. Nowaday you should say WRX instead of Impreza, because that's an Impreza now.(my car, 0-60 in more than 10sec, also come with paddle shifter ) That's a WRX STI Image size reduced, original size: 717 x 478. I'm about to pull the trigger for a Grid 2 activation key for Steam on eBay for $20 right now... |

The R34's chosen one Group: Advanced Members Posts: 804 Member No.: 27,787 Joined: Dec 13th 2007 Location: Makati, Philippines | I'm surprised that at least the guys here who discuss GRID 2 are far more civilized than in WME. All they did there was complain about how drifting is "bad" because you can't control the cars and hold their drifts given the cars were not set for drifting in the first place, and more for covering all forms of driving / racing styles. I've been doing some car showcase requests here featuring random GRID 2 cars of choice and some creative music - done by both me and requested by other people around. If you guys have any requests at all, let me know. Here are some vids I've finished: Mercedes Benz ft. Lindsey Stirling Theme: The Three-spoke-star legacy
Zenvo ST1 Theme: The Motorsport Assassin
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 SS Carbon Black Theme: BlackBird
Aston Martin V12 Zagato Theme: An Octave Higher
McLaren F1 GT Theme: Supercar of the 1990s
SRT Viper GTS Theme: Phantom of the Viper
Mazda RX7 type RZ Theme: 7th Heaven - Rotary
