Ok, so I spent over a week looking for a version of the first stage which has re-done CGI, which I assumed was the blu ray version however looking at a few fourms the blu-ray version is just up-scaled without any change to the CGI. However, on youtube there's this video that clearly shows re-done CGI for Shingo's crash. I watched first stage a while ago overseas on youtube and remember watching it with the re-done CGI however it is currently blocked in the region/country I live in, or the channel that uploaded it got terminated, the channel name was Bunta Fujiwara but there's a lot. I was wondering if it's just me or if there's really a version with re-done CGI. Thanks.

Wow dude. First that uploader is a member here, second your answer was literally the top comment on the video.

/thread

EDIT: If for some reason you're asking however if there was -actually- a First Stage that was completely redone but still remained First Stage, no, there was not. Unless someone spliced random chunks of Battle Stage into First Stage for some reason.

I thought that was the case but I guess I didn't look properly (embarrassing considering I didn't look at the comments my bad). I looked at the battle stage but only the first Keisuke vs Takumi race and the sequence was very different from the original so I just assumed it would've been the same for Shingo but apparently not so I desperately looked because I want my friend to get into Initial D. I guess the old CGI didn't really impact my viewing experience at all if I couldn't tell which CGI was the one I remembered. Sorry but also thank you. I can sleep now.
