Just keep practicing. When I first started I thought Tomo was really hard and I was frustrated, but I just learned not to wall rape and just make a good, clean run on the course. If you learn to do that, then you can beat him. To me Bunta isn't really hard compared to Special Stage and Street Stage. In those versions you really needed to have skill in order to beat him. Look me up on Youtube; my Youtube channel is talilgangstaboi, or you could search up K0oanz vs. Bunta Fujiwara. In the video I beat him with a stock AE86T. You can also look at the IDES video thread in the forum to see the video. It may also be that you are using a controller. Driving with a wheel is different than driving with the controller, since you have more control over the movement of your car. Sometimes when I use the controller and I make a turn, I feel like the game is doing the turn for me because I only have to move the left analog stick a little bit to complete the turn. Well you are supposed to use the brake in this game? The physics are different from versions 1 through 3. Ohh okay, but the Driving Force GT costs around $140.

Haha, I am rusty right now not in the video. I took a little break from IDES because I have a lot of things to do for school and I got a little frustrated with IDES; I couldn't beat my time on Tsukuba no matter how hard I tried... I'll play this weekend though and try to beat it again. I'll be online around 1 AM PST. My PSN is K0oanz. This post has been edited by k0oanz on Apr 21 2011, 11:56 AM

We definitely need to have a few races once you're back! Also, as far as beating Bunta, from my experience, you really only have to do well on ... I'd say maybe the last half of the course. Obviously that doesn't mean you can go around slamming into walls and driving slow up until then, but I feel like that's where it becomes more important to drive better against Bunta. I'll just use the video k0oanz posted as an example and try to run through how I'd do it. I'll only start from where I feel like Bunta starts trying to pass you. Keep in mind, I'm far from the best at this game, but I don't really have any problems with Bunta! So here goes: I'd say from the corner at 1:42 in his youtube video onward. (Or 1:28 if you're going by the in-game timer) Just make sure you brake enough for it. Try to come out of the corner at least going about 130 km/h. You should almost be able to hit top speed on the straightaway after that corner. For the corner after that long straightaway, you can take it at a really high speed. You do still need to brake before it, but you should be able to come out of the corner at about 150 km/h. Try to avoid the walls since you're going so fast there. After that comes the hairpins. You're probably going to want to brake a bit before the first one, since you should be hauling ass at that point. If you're going to use the gutters, try not to turn too sharp into the hairpins, or you'll scrape the wall and lose a lot of speed... It's hard to explain, but if you practice them enough, you should find an angle that works. IF your speed drops below 120 km/h, just shift down to 3rd (assuming you're using a 5 speed) and run the car the redline until you come out of the last hairpin. You'll maintain a higher speed that way. It's not very hard from there on. Just brake enough before that last big curve at 2:51 in k0oanz's video, and you should come out of it at at least 130-ish km/h. I sure hope that wall of text was helpful and not too confusing. The most important part is make sure you brake enough in the right spots to come out of corners at a high speed, and obviously avoiding the walls. On a final note, your driving doesn't have to be absolutely perfect to win this race, so if you make a mistake here and there, don't give up or restart the race. Even if he passes you, you can still turn it around if you don't mess up too hard. This post has been edited by Rogar on Apr 21 2011, 04:05 PM

Very nice explanation I'll get online tonight. I'm going to set some new records, I hope. I'll post them in my TA thread. I wish Bunta was harder though, it is too easy to beat him...

Hopefully PSN is back up by then. It's been down for a little over a day now. And yeah, I agree with that. Actually, I wish every race was harder. Even on the hard difficulty, most of them still feel pretty easy.

It took me forever to beat Tomoyuki ,I mean I was at the point of wanting to break the controller. Takumi and Keisuke only took a few tries, then I got to Bunta and well still struggling, but I took a break since then. I remember Special Stage being fun but not as frustrating. |

Well once you get to a certain skill level you will want the races in LOTS to be more of a challenge because it is too easy to beat them. I still have a hard time beating Tomo, but that's because I rarely play on Happo, so I need to get on that. Before I had a hard time too with Tomo like you did, but it takes time to improve your skills. Well in Special Stage you didn't have to brake or anything.

Feelin a little furry? Group: Members Posts: 356 Member No.: 31,392 Joined: Dec 20th 2008 Location: Update Profile | Hey sup everyone Bunta was sure a pain in the arse, just the 5 hairpins is what screw me over, but I just finally got my paycheck from work and ordered the Fanatec GT3 RS v2 wheel . So it'll hopefully be easier. But im mainly using this wheel for the big boy, GT5. I beat Bunta twice, but only in medium difficulty BTW K0oanz, this is LeonPowolski from youtube. Added you but I highly doubt you got it since the PSN is down |

Ohh hey I think I already added you on PSN, but if I didn't I'll add you the next time I get on the PS3. I hope I can make time for IDES on the weekends; I'm getting quite busy with school now... I'll see you all when PSN is back up on its feet. Until then, take care everyone and have a nice afternoon. This post has been edited by k0oanz on Apr 24 2011, 06:34 PM
