My personal favourite is always the 787B or the NSX in that class, the old AW11 MR2 is perfect if you are looking at stock lift off oversteer. Otherwise you got the Lotus Espirit to fuel your V8 Turbo needs. |

Whoah, are you trying to get into the car specialization thing at IDW? If so, then I suggest you scrap MR as a demand and go for ideal driving feel instead as that will get you way further than trying to hunt out a specific car for speed. I tried that approach, and it didn't get me anywhere, now it is all about driving feel.

Yes, the car is twitchy when you first try it, but it is a good MR car. It'll really test your driving skills in an MR car, and don't be surprised that once you mastered it, the Honda NSX might be a walk in the park. I trained myself with the Hommell when it comes to MR cars. Err... Manfred? Were you referring to GT2, or GT4? As far as I know, Venturi was only available in GT2. |

Total balance, and a total monster when you tune them up right I think my RSI NSX-R's bigger brother NSX packs a punch capable of taking on those pesky S2000's and RX-7's Some others you might like AW11 MR-2 SW20 MR-2 Hommel Berlinette (I used to drift one, great little car) Honda Beat RUF 3400S And theres always the Clio V6 or MGF if your looking for something different. |

interesting selection. I'll look into it. Although I think I used to drive an MR2 or an MRS and it didnt even have enough power and it kept sliding like crap so I never used it again and almost forgot that I had one after a few months of not using it and then just sold it right after. Anyways, I'm still looking forward to hearing more opinions on what to buy.

O snap! Group: Members Posts: 334 Member No.: 22,739 Joined: Jan 7th 2007 Location: Embrun, Ontario | I think the Honda NSX is the perfect MR car. It just is. The perfect MR car. The NSX. No other car matches it. I'm saying this because I saw one up close today, then I fell to my knees and cried. Technically speaking, that is. |

it's both under and oversteery actually. I'm not saying it sucks though. It's just so ironic that a car that skiddish could clear corners so quickly and keep itself from spinning out even at full acceleration. A car like that isn't really my taste but I gotta admit, it's DAMN fast. Anyways: AW11 MR-2 SW20 MR-2 Hommel Berlinette = Slippery bastards RUF 3400S = feels quite nice. Except for the stupid wheelspin, it doesn't really feel as awkward as the other ones. Not exactly a car for squeezing out good times but it's still fun to use.
I'll give these ones a shot. I have alot of money to burn anyway lol. I think I'll pass on the MR2s though. This post has been edited by mark4000 on Jun 29 2007, 05:27 AM

MR2's are the best ones since they're like dancing on the edge of razorblade! the rest of my suggestions are pretty grippy actually. gotta love the spirra and it's Lotus-like performance/handling.. and the soundtrack with race exhaust.. ooohh.. |

coffee break anyone? Group: Advanced Members Posts: 508 Member No.: 15,978 Joined: Feb 17th 2006 Location: Palmdale, CA | The MR-2 G-Limited is simply incredible with the following settings... http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php...2&postcount=289This setting emphasizes handling above all else. In reality, all you need to enjoy the setup is the weight reduction and suspension. But, the car becomes unnaturally fast with all the other upgrades applied. Also, DO NOT try to apply these to an MR-2 GT-S! It is too heavy and will cause problems with the suspension. |
