So I was cruisin around on the fourms at iloveimports.com and i come across the touge section....bad. I enter this thread called "FF drifting with an eclipse"

Here is a quote!:
QUOTE
i'm sure you already know FF's are the best platform for drifting. The only way to make your car go sideways is by pulling the ebrake through a turn which locks your rear tires and makes it slide for a bit... anything after that will be ass dragging since you are steering and pulling with your front wheels.

If you keep doing this you have to expect bald spots on you rear tires, your ebrake most likely braking down soon. To go sideways before a corner you would have to be going at a faster speed, but like i mentioned earlier, once you pull the ebrake you go sideways but only for a small amount of time and once you hit your gas, you will be going forward hence loosing your sideway acceleration.

The worst thing that could happen other than an accident is that your drift wont even look like a real drift at all.

Now I know in some counties in California marijuana is a legal product, but in this instance, it probably should be illegal. FFs are the best for grip driving, but when it is all said and done....mah MR will own FFs for free!

I know some of those guys on the site and yes most of them do drive ff, they are not being serious about drifting them. While they are mainly streetracers w/ 9sec. allmotor crxs, I have seen a number of those guys at scca events and they do hang with much faster cars, one of the members click_me86 drives a hachi-roku and he even drifts that thing in autocross. They do get respect from me cause they actually drive their cars competitively unlike most of the ricers in vegas.

btw hows your mr2 coming along? you gonna swap to manual transmission?

w3rd! AutoX people are the best. However its Vegas and Vegas is a town I really do not know that well. So I don't know how bad the rice disease is there.

My tranny is manual. What Im gonna do is a bolt on turbo! After all said and done it should do 230-240hp to the crank. About 260 to the wheels. But I still need to do a ton of things.
