| Hello everybody. This is the Official Initial D Fifth Stage Music Thread which will list the Eurobeat tracks, if any of course, heard during the episodes of the Fifth Stage and, of course, the opening and title themes. The song titles will be updated in this first post as soon as the information comes out. If the song is already released somewhere, a download will also be offered. If a song is not released, an "episode rip" will be made while waiting for an official release. This thread is about discussion. Well yeah, it is the "download" button, BUT... "Muat Turun" which means download in Malay. And yes, you need to register to download songs. |

Just downloaded the song. Works fine. Just register with some bogus email address. They don't require confirmation in order to download it. Once you register just click the small blue button that says download and you are all set. |

Well, we don't exactly have new songs, since Avex held up SEB for well over a year... Unless they were to use songs that haven't been released yet. That would be much cooler, actually. But of course that won't happen.  |

I had no problem downloading either of those, and after checking the URLs, there's nothing wrong with those, either. I don't know where you're seeing three "///" after "http:" What exactly happens when you click the links? |

Interesting! I just checked the original post data and it did have three forward-slashes, but despite that, when I went to click the link from this thread, it worked. Hell, I even hit "copy link location" and it copied the link with only two instead of three. Must be some kind of URL-correction feature in Waterfox. Well, I fixed it, so you should have no problems now. |

I'm waiting for a decent RAW + subs so I haven't the episodes yet. Anyway, the song is unreleased so far. If it's Eurobeat, it might show up on SEB Presents Initial D D Selection Vol.2 or even maybe SEB222. EDIT It's not Eurobeat. It'll probably appears on the sound files CD if it ever appear. |

There will be 15 songs in addition to 10 sound effects and the TV edits of Raise Up & Flyleaf. It might be one of the 15 songs. As far as I know, there were no tracklist for this soundtrack yet. Why yes, it does! Most 12-episode series don't have more than one OP/ED, so that does seem to suggest Fifth Stage will be 24 episodes (even though the pacing of the story so far seems to suggest otherwise.) |

Well then, we'll find out when episode 7 and 8 comes out. If it's only 12 episodes, then logically the second ED theme should be used in the second half of the series. But then again, it's not always the case. They can simply play the second theme song for 11 & 12 and call it done. |

| This is really sad. Everyone waited so long for the return of the series and the main topic now is the count of episodes. I remember the days of fourth stage. We did not know the amout of episodes then and there were never talk like this. Is there any reason why this is so important right now? Is this stage not as good as 1 - 4? |

But I'm that would be extremely unusual, so that probably won't be the case. If anything, it'd be changed at episode 7, as you said.
In my opinion? Pretty much. I'm a little disappointed in it, but maybe they can pick things up soon. That's probably just wishful thinking, though. |

Yeah...looks like several people ignored the post, and waited for someone else to re-upload it and SAY it was 320kbps. Guess 9.77MB for a 3 minute song wasn't obvious enough...:/ As far as the Japanese goes...The writing system is hit or miss. Meaning you either know the character or you don't. Not like English where you can sound it out and possibly figure out what the word means. In this case, I must have been absent from class that day they taught those. |

| Is it just me or is there no impact from Eurobeat in fifth stage? Not a single memorable Eurobeat moment. First stage had classics like "Save Me" and "Running in the 90's." Second stage had great music too. Third stage's music was awesome with songs like "Max Power" and "Kiss Me Goodbye" that fit in at just the right moments. Fourth Stage had "Forever Young" at just the right moment and other hits like "Night Trip" and "Lucky Man." None of the music in fifth stage make the anime worth watching. The story is the same as the manga so I waited for the music to blend with and build up the action/story and that never happened. I might as well have read the manga. Anyone else feel the same? I hope they go back to the formula that made Initial D great for the next stage. Slice of life story + racing theory and application + Eurobeat (at just the right moments) = Initial D I'm sorry, this may be in the wrong section. I just didn't know where to post these concerns. |

I think the last two episodes were spot on with the tracks used in it, as far as the rest of the music this Stage I would have to agree. The Eurobeat tracks played a heavy role in helping either setting the mood for the scene or in some cases helped progressed the story in past stages. The 5th stage tracks were a few hits and a lot of misses .I remember watching First Stage and the moment you heard the opening to "Back On The Rocks", you knew that was Nakazato's theme and the theme for the R32. That same song would come back and pretty much be the theme for the Skyline in the series, especially during the FD3S Vs. R34 (still get goosebumps watching that race o_o ) . Point being that the music served a purpose. During 5th stage, in my opinion, the Sound Files (or BGM) had more significance and sounded a lot better than some of the tracks used. I love Dream Fighters "Can't Stop Loving You" but for the life of me I don't know why that song was used for that particular race and scene...it just baffled me  . The last two episodes, as I mentioned earlier, used the songs perfectly. Powerful T.'s "Face The Race" and Ken Blast's "The Top" help build on the emotion and added to the story and Dejo & Bon's "Wheelpower and Go" was a perfect song for the climax of that race.Hopefully the next season will use the Eurobeat better. |

For myself, I don't think so. I haven't watched the anime (only ep1 and 2 since they were the only one released in 720p (REAL 720p, not fake up-converted 720p from 360p)). I'm not as fond of older Eurobeat as I am for recent Eurobeat. I like a couple of songs, mainly the classics such as...
..and the like. However, the rest of the songs are like... MEH. 3rd Stage has music from 120s-130s which I am not as fond of either. However, 4th Stage and 5th stage as, like, the best music because I like recent eurobeat much more than older one (NOTE: 2nd Stage and 1st Stage have Eurobeat mostly from before SEB100). *nod nod* I started following SEB at SEB168 I believe. So, this volume onward, for me, is the Eurobeat I enjoy and know the most. |

One part i Do think stands out was the first race When the FD pulls away from the EVO "Runaway" By Leo River was (in my opinion) a good pick but in saying that i dont remember many other memorable moments apart from Igoda - Code: D playing during the AE86 vs MR-S but dont think that counts as it wasnt Eurobeat. I agree that the music hasn't been as "memorabe" as previous stages such as Back on the rocks (which i now associate to any skyline R32 as that cars theme), running in the 90s etc but there has been some good moments throughout 5th stage |

Technically possible. However, the post hosting First Stage to Fourth Stage is kinda huge for the forum software. If you remember, the Battle Stages and Extra Stages were with the other anime posts. When I edited that to add the FLAC links, I couldn't post the edit because the post was too big. So I had to split the first thread into two threads while keeping the post related to the music in the games. With Perry's magic, he was able to change 1st post owner to mine (because it originally wasn't!)and insert a post between the first one and the games' music. All that for a post being too big for the forum software. And that limitation is hard coded, so Perry can't change it. To finish this off, I don't think I'll move the 5th Stage list to the repertoire. To me, it's part of the repertoire anyway: if you hover over a link, you'll see that the location of all files are in the repertoire. However, if there's going to be a 6th Stage (movie or full anime), I'll move the 5th Stage into the Repertoire (to much pain it will give, or maybe not) then create a thread for 6th Stage. You know, "focus". That is all. |

I agree. That was very memorable, even if it was only few seconds at the very end of the episode. Other memorable moment was in the first episode, when Takumi did his flashy drift on that long curve, just after Wataru snapped his fingers. And that's all. I don't remember any other special moment connected with music. The reason may be, that this stage was quite short. |

Forever Sad... Maybe it's kind of suitable, but Back On The Rocks? Nah, the song is too "happy" to be featured in the race since the theme is about "death of a girl"... |

I've always taken it as a statement of how quickly and easily a swift rise to fame/wealth is lost. Hardly a happy song, and actually somewhat fitting if you consider the context. |

I believe Safari does not forward Referrer URL and the host that these download links located in check to make sure the Referrer URL is from idforums.net only. It will redirect you to idforums.net if it thinks it's a hotlinking attempt. |

Not 0%. More like 1%. You could theoretically request the rights to use the song in some project and if you pay them enough, I don't see any reason they wouldn't give the track to you. Of course, if you're just looking to get the song for free, then yeah, 0%. But there's always a price for everything. |
