I, Pikachu_Fragger, order you... TO SEND ME SOME REQUESTS!

You know, after doing that single co-DJ stint at Don's house, I've decided to go ahead and join in on this DJ thing and actually do a show or something. So I give you... the TOTAL CONTROL GEASS HOUR, every Thursday from 11:00PM-12:MN PST. And the success of the show depends on you, the listener.

Here's how it works; every Thursday nights, I play nothing but stuff that you want to hear and stuff that you request. That's it. Of course, there's a slight catch; you have to send me some songs before the show begins! That's right, you, the listener, have to send me the songs you want to hear before the show so that I can put them together for an hour-long playlist!

Of course, there's a few stipulations for this, since we have about an entire week or so to construct a playlist.

Each requester can only request up to two songs for the show. If they want to hear more, they can hope someone else requests it for them or request those for next week. They have to send a link to download the song in case I don't have the requested song.
Any songs/requests that go beyond the hour will be queued for next week. In fact, if there are enough requests, I may actually have to ask you to STOP ~~DOTS~~ Requests for now until the queue is free.
You can go ahead and make requests on the Radio Panel during the show, but those songs will most likely be added to next week's queue instead.
Depending on the occasion, I may only play a particular genre/theme if enough people ask for it. This is kind of pending though, but it's something to keep in mind if you want a particular genre for the entire hour.

To send requests, go ahead and PM me!

Be sure to include a link to download the song (please use sendspace or something similar, and please, no malicious files that have viruses in 'em. This is your show, I don't want to see it get spoiled) in your message.

EDIT: Also, I've decided that if anyone wants me to do random SURPRISE birthday shows for people just for the lulz (seeing the success of Jake's and Perry's surprise ~~buttsex~~ birthday greeting shows). Feel free to PM me about making a show at least a day in advance so that I can collect music that the celebrant would like to hear. Just make sure that the person in question is listening and doesn't know what the hell is going on (because it's more fun that way when you don't tell them this sort of thing).

Until then... *takes a seat at his box and prepares for next week's show*
P.S. Oh, and if we can't make an hour's worth of music, that's fine. I'll probably play something until I get a few requests here or there. It's not like I don't really have a library of music to play, after all.

EDIT: Lol, Jake kind of suggested that I make a promo poster, so... two posters for this show: one for the regular request and another for the Classical playlists.

Fragger, I'll help you out on this one since I sensed a problem.

You need to come up with a short playlist of your own to begin with, since the community doesn't always respond quickly enough. I always compile at least an hour's worth of music myself, and then I declare that requests are the fuel to keep the fire going. Even in the chat room, members won't be requesting enough songs for a coherant show, so you need to have a decent database of tracks to (hopefully) inspire some more requests.

For example, in my hour-long intro playlist, I usually play a bunch of generic tracks by well-known artists, which gets the guys in the chat room either suggesting other tracks by the same artists, or suggesting better music in the same vein as the track being played. If you have something that the listeners can build upon, they can usually assist the DJ in building something amazing. If you give them nothing to start with, you're only going to get a few of them suggesting stuff.

Just helpin' you out, man. I love seeing new DJs crop up around here.

Sadly, I don't has a p2p program, hence the need for a sendspace to the songs you might have (hell, a rapidshit would work too). Or you could ask, I might have them on hand; and if I don't, I'll try to acquire them somehow, by hook or by crook (for now, since I'm starting out and need stuff to play on the air).

Dude, Fragger, it's cool about the P2P thing. I don't have one either, and look how long I've been going for.

Then again, it does help that I have a massive library as it is, and constant Japanese BitTorrent releases do help.

We've tested the music and mic last night with Fragger. The only thing about Fragger's soundcard input is that it doesn't seem to have Stereo Mix. For the time being, he will have to switch from Winamp input and Soundcard Input when he wants to talk. Doing so can crash winamp from time to time, but there doesn't seem to be any other solution. (We've already tried to upgrade his audio driver, no dice.)

Actually... I've somehow managed to now acquire Stereo Mix, but... it's weird. I'd like to test it sometime before Thursday when the show starts. XD

Next week, like I mentioned at the end of the show, we're gonna go back in time to songs that were probably played long before most of you were born. Unless you're like, thirty, in which case, no, you were probably born by then. I will still receive requests before playing those, of course, as pre-show requests come in high priority.

On a related note, for those of you wondering who was that high-pitched Japanese girl that "co-DJed" during the show, she's actually a character from an eroge called "One: To the Radiant Season", and her name is Nagamori Mizuka. I was somehow able to make a flash soundboard using sound clips from the game, and since my setup is a bit unique as it was, I was able to pull it off with very little fuss. Alas, I doubt that Don would review this game despite it being a Key work before Key was formed, since it is more plot than porn, and we all go to Eronight to ~~fap to~~ see the porn.

Anyway, SEND IN THOSE REQUESTS! We have a whole week ahead of us!

The music, except for the Imperial March (which is off of the John Williams compilation CD), is from the CD "Sketches on Star Wars" by The Trotter Trio.

Allrighty then! I guess it's time to unveil the newest poster for the new format I'm kind of tinkering with XD

That's right. Every other Thursday, for as long as there are CDs available that play these, (or at least, while the novelty lasts anyway) I will be playing some old songs. Like, Classical Music old (the kind you have lesbian sex with, like Moonlight Sonata. Sort of, but you get the idea). It's kind of something I've wanted to tinker with for a while.

Of course, during the show, I'll still be taking in requests, so if I end up covering for SgtXDNX (since his internet gets capped invariably), I can play those after the Classical Hour, or something like that. The first playthrough of one show will be this week, and I'll be covering two CDs: one is is a CD simply entitled "Classical Delights", followed by "David Foster: The Symphony Sessions".

If you have any other requests though, feel free to send them! I'll go back to regular request hour once I'm done with the Classical Hour this week because Jake's not playing that night just yet.

Tonight is going to be... BEATLES NIGHT. That's right folks, we're going old, but... well, not that old.

If you're a Beatles fan, listen in! I'm going to end up playing some random Beatles songs from a CD collection (which strangely doesn't have anything except "The Beatles" written on it, but I'm pretty sure it's not made in China).

Tonight is request night! We're also trying to go for a theme, as suggested by Ayako. As a result, this particular playlist is going to be 18+ for sexual themes.

Also, as an announcement, I won't be available for the show for the next two weeks. Next week is AX, and the week after is when I pick my parents up from the airport from LAX.

Allright children, I do apologize for being away for so long thanks to sickness, but now it seems that work is also keeping me from effectively preparing for my shows. But fear not! I should be able to get used to a normal schedule by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.

The show will be back on December 3, 2009, and it will be a request show! So all those pent-up requests that you guys have been wanting to do, stock them up for when I return. I'll also be doing some of my lines for the IDW Overdub project too, so yes, I won't really be going away.

UNTIL THEN, THIS IS THREE DAW- err, Pikachu_Fragger, signing off for the next two weeks. See you all on December!

I figure I should at least inform the general listening public about what's happening. As of the moment, my computer's onboard soundcard (which was a piece of shit to begin with), decided to crap out and only allow microphone input on MONO for some reason. Which is, in this case, only the left channel.

Now, I'm not about to have my listeners feel like their right ear is crapping out, so I'm going to have to resolve this problem somehow, either in the form of a new soundcard with Stereo Mix, being able to somehow restore order to the onboard soundcard, or a new computer alltogether (and to be fair, it feels like it's reaching that stage anyway since this thing rig's been operational for like... what, more than five years now, and with a completely crapped out DVD-R drive?) with a soundcard that HAS Stereo Mix.

I apologize, folks. I also realize that I've also been unable to do shows at times, but I usually try to get back on or at least tell our usual listeners what's going on. But right now, this might be a longer term problem than I originally anticipated, so I'm just letting you all know that this'll more than likely become a long-term hiatus.

Thanks for listening all this time, you folks are what give me the reason to keep playing on the air. I hope to get back on track soon and better than ever!

Jesus Christ, I haven't updated this thread in a YEAR. That's... kind of sad.

BUT I'm updating it now mostly to remind you all about this Thursday's Theme: IDW Idol! That's right, I'm challenging you, the listener, to send me your worst/best rendition of your favorite song. So it's kind of like Karaoke night, except all listeners are Simon or something.

Please let me know if a request you're sending me is in fact for this theme, and if I get at least a good five or six entries I'll be able to play them for the second half/half hour of the show. As usual, please send them to me via PM OR send them to me a couple of hours before the show starts that way I know who sent what and I don't miscredit requests.

EDIT: Limit of one song per person, unless they're willing to forego their normal request in which case it's two.

Yeah it's sitting on a 100m line, so theoretically it max out at 12.5MB/s... if you stream it directly at the feed, you can also skip ahead and listen to a certain part of the show without waiting for the whole thing to load, it's good if you only missed a certain part of the show. Yeah I'm loving the podcast function.

He hath told onto me that his throat was getting a little better, but if he still can't do a show then he must have been horrible to start off with. I dunno... This sounds really fishy. Walking through my fair share of hospital wings to visit my friends who volunteer, I've seen that they are very sterile places. Unless he is working in the sick ward talking to the patients, there should be no reason for him to contact any sort of illness from the work place. I'm with Perry on this one. Maybe he's getting sick from the exhaustion. I only wish him the best!

But hey, I don't know where he's working. All I know is that every week he seems to be sick and I hardly ever see him online at all anymore. Not just Thursdays for his show... but all week.

I see him about once a week when I drive up to HSI, however, he doesn't seem to be sick in the sense that he has a fever, more in the sense that I think he's just incredibly exhausted.

I'm with you guys on this one, he has something like an 8 work day, he works 5 days a week, and I don't think his job is too relaxed. As a result, he's probably getting really tired out to do the show.

I was talking to him one night when I managed to catch him awake and I told him that I would be down to drive to Azusa to visit him, but he advised me against it. Upon asking him to elaborate, he told me that it was really far out in the middle of nowhere and that there was nothing to do there. I dunno, those are the words that he has untold onto me.

Yeah I wouldn't consider that the boonies. If anything it's easy to get to since the freeways that go there (57/210) are hardly ever clogged at night. Super easy drive. Not to mention he basically lives at the base of one of the chillest touge-style roads in Southern California...

Hell, he has FiOS. You don't get to call your city the 'boonies' if you have goddamn FiOS.

Welp, since this was kind of in advance, show is sadly cancelled this week because of two things: watching Pacific Rimjob with Honda

and the initial onset of my annual cough

The awards show on Saturday will still go through though, and I will sure as hell have a show next Thursday, whether enough requests are sent or not. There is a lot to cover over what transpired the past month or so.

I don't know if I should act surprised or not, but Fragger is really really sick. He just texted me to say that he won't be having a show tomorrow. His throat is getting really bad, but at least he let us know a day in advance right? Right? Oh who am I kidding? He's such a scumbag! He said he'd have a show this week. Oh well, there is always a silver lining, the Saturday show! Hopefully he feels better then. Keep your hopes up guys! I'll let you know if he let's me know if there is any sort of change in plans.

Wow, how long has it been since Fragger has done anything radio related on the forums since that awards show that I helped make awesome? A really friggin long time I say! You guys want a reason other than the fact that he's super duper lazy?

Well, he tells me that he's getting tired of doing a requests show every week and that not enough people are sending him requests anymore. Well I personally think that's poppycock, but he kinda has a point. What I'm thinking is that he wants variety and I don't blame him. He hasn't had a show in ages because he's in hiatus and trying to think up of ways to come up with something different. So I started brainstorming! I personally recommended he play some discographies from old bands or something, but that's the format of a lot of other shows already so that was scratched off the list of ideas fairly quickly...

The other day I got to brilliant idea of live reading excerpts of bad fanfictions on air and that seemed to stick. So before he comes in and says that he has a legitimate reason (for which he does not) what do you guys think about piloting a Bad Fanfiction Hour in addition to his regular contrololololol Geass Hour next time he hosts a show? All I need is a yay or nay and I'll try my best to get him to act upon it.

This would be pretty badass, especially if you did an F-Plus kinda deal and got some guests on to help slog through all the content.

Sorry about that guys. I was planning to do a show and would have done so were I physically able. I hoped it would get better by today but alas it was not to be. I COULD do a show if people like hearing someone dying doing it but I'm not down to have people suffer through that. XD

Okay, updating the thread in light of recent announcements. Yes, it is confirmed that there will be a show on the 31st! It will still be a request show, and we will be reading the winners as we go through the show. The show will go live at 10PM PST on January 31, 2015.

That said, because of how drastically things have changed in the past few months, I am not sure if I can keep doing radio shows at this rate. I should have an idea by the time the show goes live this month, but I cannot promise anything at this rate regarding the future of the Total Control Geass Hour.

Either way, we will be live on the 31st. We'll see you then!

Huh. Well, this is a problem.

My sound card is currently having issues regarding Stereo Mix, so I sadly won't be able to host. That may not be a problem though, since Nomake Wan is also doing Eronight that same night, so he can either announce the winners in my stead, or someone can do an awards show at a later night.

My apologies to those who were waiting. Good thing I checked today, but still, it sucks.
