One of which involves smoking a pipe whenever in deep thought, while another includes rolling around on the floor out of boredom... Either way, Victorique possess genius like detetive prowess and will gladly excersise this ability where ever necessary to alleviate her constant boredom. Of course with every great detective comes a sidekick and in Gosick's case, it is Kazuya Kujo, a transfer student from Japan who coincidentally is also the shows main character (pictured in the left gif). Together they go about solving various mysteries that come across them. Youtubes of GOSICK's OP and ED below for those interested, spoiler'd for space.

I enjoy the show over all but the only thing that bothers me is how fast the characters become so close in like 2 minutes. |

She's so cute when she rolls like that. XD Reminds me of Occult Academy. I find it strange that Koyasu's voice isn't his usual tone in this series. You mean overall or just between Victorica and Kujo? Vic and Kujo must've been rather lonely from the constant isolation prior to the show so it's only naturally for them to take a liking to one another. This post has been edited by bROCKoLEE on Feb 10 2011, 05:56 AM | ||

I wish there was a little more interaction between them because it feels like the start of the relationship was just kind of skipped in order to jump straight into mysteries. |

I guess that's just what loneliness and isolation does to people. And plus it was mentioned in one of the recent episodes (five i think it was) that Victorica doesn't like interacting with people she doesn't know, and will go into hiding to avoid contact. The fact that she even let Kujo make first contact must've meant she had taken a liking or interest in him beforehand. Perhaps she finally found someone just as lonely as she was in Kujo. Grumpy Victorica is so amusing to watch in eps 6 Looking forward to learning more about the characters and how this new arc will decide to pan out. |

If she's really a fairy that didn't exist, then it'll be a huge mindf*ck. But then again, she's been interacting with lots of people by now, so it's rather impossible. I'm losing steam by now, though. It feels like watching Conan. -__- Maybe it's just me, but the way she figures out mysteries is too unrealistic. Like, based on the length of just one side of a triangle and nothing else, she can figure out the other 2 sides' lengths. |

Clumsly writing and poor decision on the anime's part imo. I'm really only watching for Victorica at this point, too many asspull's wrecking the show like you mentioned. Eps 9, so Victorious Eps 10 has been delayed for obvious reasons.. This post has been edited by bROCKoLEE on Mar 11 2011, 08:16 PM |

I don't feel like continuing anymore.... The designs and everything are good, but the plot doesn't appeal much... I do really love their library, though |

I find myself hating this Kujo more and more as the episodes progress. He babbles shit about being the third son of some soldier, yet he acts like a faggot all the time. Episode 15:

All these characters have such a one-track mind. Avril is always "Kujo-kuuuun~!" and likewise Kujo says nothing but "Victoricaaaaaaa~" I laughed at the Inspector's beehive hair. Sugar water haahah |

Anyone else still following this? I know the story has gotten pretty boring, but at least the character design and everything is still good.... |

Anyway, I was wondering how closely the anime's ending followed the novel's.

The computer I originally watched it on used to have graphics driver crashes at any given moment, and Ubuntu doesn't do a thing to try to recover the driver, so I have to reboot every time something like that happens. And I still have too many other shows on my plate to dedicate more time to Gosick. But I'll eventually finish it. And lol, "Japan can't say gothic". Got a kick out of that. How unfortunate for this great show to have a horrible typo for a title. Also, rolling loli so moe~ |
