Anyone else watching this?
There's gotta be atleast one person here who watches it.

QUOTE
When Okajima Rokuro visits Southeast Asia carrying a top secret disk, he is kidnapped by pirates riding in the torpedo boat, “Black Lagoon”. Although he thought he would be rescued soon, the company actually abandons him, and sends mercenaries to retrieve the secret disk. He narrowly escapes with his life, but has nowhere to go. He gives up his name and past, and resolves to live as a member of the Black Lagoon.

lol, well the way i see it, season 2 or the second barrage is just the other half of the 1st season imo. I mean the animation and art-style was essentially the same, hell they even called it eps 13 and kept the same op and ed XD

Either way, those kids in eps 13 were definately wacked out man. They've seriously got some screws loose man, (maybe it's in that guys head that they were playing with? lol, yea i know bad joke lol =P) they kinda reminded me of Higurashi for awhile there and that's saying something man...

Anyone else still watching this show?

I just love the characters in this show, especially the various other criminals. Balalaika is batshit crazy, Mr. Chang is a crazy dual wielder. I totally love Rotten ZA WIZARD, Sawyer the Cleaner, and Yes-it-is Shenhua.

Revy is tsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsuntsun

I'm still watching although i am like 3 or so eps behind. I think i just finished that Indian girl arc...

It's a pretty good show i reckon. A real sleeper and prolly one of the most under-rated shows i reckon. I mean hardly anyone knew about it when it first aired and even now it really isn't all that popular =/

Watched ep.12, it's a cool ep to end this arc.
We finally get to see a Revy vs Gin-san battle, that was cool. Too bad Yukio had to die, that was kinda sad. Hopefully when they have enough manga volumes they will make a season 3.

Just finished the 2nd Brigade and omg that last Yakuza arc was so trippy and full of Black Lagoon goodness! XD

I seriously can't enough of that Gin vs Revy fight, still abit confused as to whether gin held back on that last strike or not though... =/

Was abit disturbing watching Yukio stab herself though >.< Although Revy's words did make up for quite abit of it:

'Rock don't look! You'll be damaged!'

lol at the end too:

Nun: "You too were away together for so long. You did do it this time right?"

Revy: "I dont want to tell"

All in all, it didn't really feel like an ending to the series imo but more of like an ending to the arc i reckon.

BTW anyone reading the manga? I pretty much heard that the anime has caught upto the manga and it'll be awhile till the 3rd season of Black Lagoon comes out, that is if there is one though... =/

Thread necromancy!

Anyway, is anyone following the manga? Chapter 76 was just... wow.
SPOILER

Oh, and it's been confirmed that Season 3 is an OVA, for those that care. I would have posted it in the Season 3 thread, but I didn't feel like reviving two dead threads.

Supporter of necropost?

Anyway, I watched both seasons of BL a few times through, and even cosplayed as Mr. Chan at Anime Boston and AnimeNEXT 2009. I made sure to add it to my small anime collection (currently own three series including BL). So, yeah, fan of Black Lagoon. biggrin.gif

OVA or not, I will be impatiently waiting for it to come out.

I haven't heard anything yet, but the Japanese Black Lagoon site still says that it's "2010 Coming Soon!" Of course, soon is never soon enough...

"El Baile de la muerte" was looooooooooooooooong.

I've gotten so used to it (3 f**king years?) that it felt weird to start a new arc with Chapter 77. I also can't wait for Volume 9 to come out in the US because it apparently had pages missing from the serialized version and also included an epilogue.

I hope they can fit all of "El Baile de la muerte" into the OVA though I'm not holding my breath on that. I just can't wait to see some of those scenes animated.

I've got to stop reading this thread. I feel like when I finally get a chance to watch the third season, it wouldn't be as intense since I'd already know what's going to happen. dry.gif

Very brief clips from all the arcs, including the upcoming OVA. Oh, and terrible audio.
