Ladies and Gentlemen, I greet all. For example akumajoalucard I also decided to raise their ftp server. ~~It does not work 24/7.~~

Until a few weeks of restrictions of any I do not put so you can check the total load.

too cool...and i think that you've been uploading so many albums as Direct Downloads on the forum aswell is great too...it seems a monumental task because lossless files are pretty huge.
I'll be grabbing the Euromach albums that i'm missing.

CiRZA, most of the files have some caracthers that Windows doesn't (? in filename) want in its filename strings, thus, I can't download them. If I try to right click and save them manually, it tells me that the source file can't be read. Your FTP or files definitely have a problem.

EDIT

I can't try through a FTP client because you only allowed the login info to work with a read only client like a browser......

Hmm... I am indeed using the right login information you gave in your post. See, it's not working. I can only log in trough Firefox and then, files have "â??" in the filename so I can't download. Screenshot from Firefox showing Super Eurobeat vol.03 :

Two choices from here :
1. Allow the login to connect through the client version of FileZilla or create an account for that only.
2. Rename your files so there are no more "â??" in the filenames.

Use the official client Filezilla, suits should be no problem. Do not use the browser to download.

Strange characters, this version of the lengthening of the sign "-". I still think it worth to replace the usual sign or leave as is.

To everyone trying to FileZilla to get on this server, you need to create the connection the long way using the Site Manager.

1. Go to File -> Site Manager (or press CTRL + S)
2. Click "New Site" and name it what you like.
3. On the right part...
Host : 188.134.71.243
Port : 21
Server Type : FTP - File Transfer Protocol
Logon Type : Normal*
User : anonymous
Password : idforums.net
Account : Should be grayed out
Comments : Put what you want there...
4. Click Connect.

Should be working.

* THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you were using the Quickconnect toolbar like me, it wouldn't work because FileZilla, since you wrote anonymous for a user name, thinks wrongly that you want to log in anonymously so it uses the "Anonymous" login type. So, this is why it is important to use the Site Manager and tell FileZilla to use a normal login type.

That is all.

Please, try 10-11 hours later(Chinese time: about from 21:00~??:??)

Yes, this FTP doesn't work 24/7. It works between 6am and 6pm my time (GMT -5). I think.

You have ALOT of missing FLAC albums I'd like, but the max speed I got was 30 kb/s and it's far to low to even consider downloading anything. Even using HTTP it was that speed so I am going to sit back in awe at what I'd like but don't have

I at last have decided to launch the new version which works 24/7. I have updated the information on the first page, therefore pay attention to new login and (same) password. At first I will watch of the server loading, therefore I have removed some restrictions. Please do not hesitate in comments.

A few words about the SEB lossy.
I for myself gather a collection of all the albums. Almost all albums I convert from lossless, codec lame 3.93.1. What exactly can be found here:

Out of curiosity - is this FTP still valid? I haven't been able to get the HTTP version to load at all, and when I connect using FileZilla, I don't get any folders that look like they'd hold Eurobeat. (Yes, I followed the instructions.) Am I doing something wrong, or is this FTP now outdated?

Edit - And another case of "Irk Splee answers her own question within minutes"... I've now realized that logging in as "anonymous" results in one set of files, while "member" results in another. Member = Eurobeat. So that takes care of that issue. Sorry to bump this so needlessly...

The client. The server is only if you want to setup your own FTP.

When I connect, I have two folders available Eurobeat [flac] and Eurobeat [mp3].

Those are the correct info to enter in the Site Manager :

I already had a complete collection of this series, but because of one accident, I lost all assembled. Maybe I'm ever going and still make a comfortable collection of DDR. In the meantime, I am too lazy.

Of course I can just download the albums you want and add them to server. But because you want everything to be good quality. For example registered tags and so on.

I found my problem!!

I was following the directions in the quote on the first post, which said to use normal log in type, and to use "anonymous" as the username.

The info above the quote says to use "member" as the username... this is the correct username.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, thanks for the share!

Thx for access to your server C1RZA but the problem i have is i can connect and browse all the directorys such as books / customization windows / games / music / office software / operating systems / portable software / service maintenace of the computer [live cd] / software / sysinternals / utilities / virtual machines. these all come up on ftp software, but the music directory only has 3 things in it "bassdrive radioshow" "moving shadows" soundtracks" i don't see any eurobeat ??? please help thanks

What I'd like to see is someone converting the FLAC into AAC using foobar2000 and qaac. That would be great......... of course you gotta check it using something like VUPlayer AudioTester to make sure there aren't stream errors

If you have a good media player, even if they are separate tracks, it still should sound whole; with no gaps in-between tracks.

Search for gapless playback audio player such as foobar2000.

Is there a way to download complete folders? When I right-click the option is greyed out. Even if I right click it on an individual file. The only way I can download is to right-click a specific file and hit View/Edit and then it automatically plays it in foobar2000 when it's finished downloading. No way I can go on using it like this, no matter how bad I want a specific album.

I really don't see the need. I've ran into problems downloading on Mega, and I think it would be easier for the Mega links to get taken off. The FTP seems to work fine, why fix something that isn't broken?

No, no one complains. I just thought if someone will be more convenient to use the MEGA. Besides the extra copy will not prevent think ftp suddenly stops working, you never know.

Literally I don't understand why this is a discussion. The FTP is still there. And no technologically inept friends now have an easy way to download the Initial D CDs with out me having to hold their hand.

I asked him to add some stuff to MEGA, he also said it would help offload some stress from the server.

Last time I downloaded filezilla it was filled with soo much JUNK, and I accidentally accepted one of the addons, and had to spend some time cleaning the shit out... I wish I had my older version of Filezilla which didn't have any of that poo...

I'm going to try out winscp and see how that goes.

I've had downloaded missing SEB in flac that were formerly unavailable the last time i visited, aswell as the EBM series (to replace my old mp3 v2 rips) & also some of the formerly unavailable flac euromach (to replace my 128k(!) rips) in the period of 2 days (now relogged again...)

I hope it wasn't too straining on the server

if you feel traffic is becoming a problem and MEGA mirrors would help take a load off it's back i'd understand, but if not, i've got to say, i really like the FTP myself and wouldn't use it over MEGA, personally

Thanks for providing this server BTW, it's a great resource.

While i'm here, i gotta ask tho, what do the numeral next to some of the folder names mean? (You know, the [#]?)

[#] - source or the files themselves are of dubious quality. The replacement.
[!] - the same, but the quality is clearly bad. To replace in the first place.

Let me rephrase...

When there's nothing, everything's correct. Best quality possible.
[#] - The files themselves are correct but could contain errors due to sub-standard ripping process (ie. not ripped with EAC). They could be replaced with a better rip.
[!] - The files were checked and found to be containing errors, bad transcode, missing files, bad quality, etc. Replacing should be priority.

Hello Filezilla friends... I'm a bit of a newbie and have searched for the answer to this question...maybe it is there and I didnt find it ? I have a rather massive Italo collection. Is the FTP server only for download or can i create my own little folder accessible to all! there may be dupes but searching songs is so time consuming, anyways, thanks for a great experience

It's download only! But it's best to use MEGA for large collections because you do get 50 GB free of storage and it's pretty easy to manage several accounts

I noticed that the intro song for IDAS8 is wrong. It's not Dive Into Stream. It's Outsoar The Rainbow.

I wonder if it's too much trouble, but it would be nice if you can make folders containing 4th and 5th stage music, listening them based on appearance in Anime. I know there's already D Selections, but it would be nice to get an entire season worth of Eurobeat in one go

I have a ton of Video Game Music and vgm remixes, as well and techno and trance if you would like to host them as well K1RZA.

They are songs from Overclocked remix, as well as various techno/trance songs that were posted on facebook trance groups awhile ago. I haven't been into trance/techno for awhile now.

Not sure how many people have an interest in any of it, but I know some people have mentioned it before.

I'm going to briefly disable FTP access. I need to make some research about the speed of the entire server, as well as download speed. We hope that this research will ultimately improve the download speed.
update:
Changed the format of connections (sftp --> ftp), as well as the port and the number of sessions from the same ip address. Now no more than three connections from the same ip address.

If someone really need the support FIPS (SSL/TLS) or WebDAV, it can be added later.

And again, write if the speed is increased or decreased.

I wonder why natsu no initial (instrumental) from Initial D Sound Files Vol. 2 can't be accessed. It always shows "temporary error, retrying" status.

Regardless, thanks a lot for compiling all the tracks and sharing it!

I changed the connection settings. FTP --> FTPS. However, the end user should not need to modify. Again check the settings on the connection using TLS.

Oh man, I can't even imagine what Bore~san in Finland's feeling right now... must be uber freezing since it's higher on the latitude scale than St. Petersburg~ O__O!!

I'm 31° latitude, and even though nights get cold & days get quite hot... it's nowhere near as extreme as climates further from the equator. The only good thing about cold weather is snow~☆ & the only good thing about hot weather is swimsuits~<3

Best thing to do in this kind of chilly~situation is make a rich cup of chocolate sprinkled with fluffy marshmallows, then snuggle into your desk like a hermit Umaru~ xD
