first save it as a jpeg, gif, png or bmp then yeah... pretty straight foward

Edit: The way this is set up, I have text on top of a color gradient background but the plain white text looks kinda ugly, is there a way I can change the color of the text w/o changing hte background behind it? I tried hue/saturation, but it changes the whole thing

yeah... make sure u got the text layer highlighted...
then if its still a text layer (shown by the icon T) at the top bar u should see the current color of the text... click on it and should be able to change it

another way to change the color is to right click on the text layer the go to blending options
