?? really? because i realised you can get pass a corner by braking in easier maps...but i wonder what happens if i do that in nagao though... laugh.gif

and i personally feel that FR cars have to brake earlier than both AWD and FF cars...and FF cars are perhaps slower at exits...? crying2.gif

i own both FT FD & DC2, and DC2 is a bit more stable in exiting corner in certain course.

certain maps...? do you mean happo? heard that FF cars are ONLY better in that map...haha.

yeah DC2 is great...people always say for the honda section the best is always S2000 -> DC2 -> EG6 -> EK9 crying2.gif

but i chose it more of the past experiences of using it in PSP laugh.gif

Would that certain course be happo? =x

Basically all cars seem to rely on the same physics where you brake early, take most corners without accelerating, then accelerate on straights. I noticed some slight handling differences or some instances where some cars take longer to brake than others (eg MRS vs MR2 on iro) but nothing very noticable unlike v3.

haha, not only happo la.
in courses like akagi and nagao too.
but it lacks acceleration sad.gif , except on happo inbound lol

i prefer playing my DC2 than my FD actually, but for TA sake, i mostly use FD.

FD? from what i see it seems that it's the hottest car used in SG than the ever popular 86...pretty good acceleration and steering...and a good uphill machine too.

true EG6 is good and it still has better acceleration than EK9 but from what i heard DC2 is more stable at exits...wonder if that's true because i've never own a EG6.

FF cars are slow...which makes me afraid of my friend who owns a FC... sad.gif

Dun worry about fast/slow... unless you are going to fight for world record timings.
in normal playing.. especially battles.. use your car characteristics to the fullest.. entry lines exit lines.

even at that all 3 FFs got their own home course. EG6 Myogi DH... EK9 Happo Outbound... DC2 Happo Inbound...

but don't get stuck playing only 1 track. explore the rest =)

oh.. it will feel good to know that you will be one of the unique FFs drivers around! =)

a EG6 driver here.. even in D4 the EG6 has a special technique in the game to play.. only the EG6 so much different from FRs.. EK9 and DC2 is about the same wif FRs..

EK9 and DC2 are much much more stable then the EG6... EG6 is the naturally slow car in other maps.. But down Myogi it is God like. I guess in a battle and all u need to know is a bit of course and the game physics... you would be winning like mad..

I would keep this thread posted as i would be aiming for all FFs in this game..

But i havent really tried the game yet... later about 2 hours from now when the arcade opens i would be there..

Though FF is a grippy car but FRs are the star of the Show.. so to be good in FF, is a tough thing to do..

@shaojie - we can experiment together.. up for that??

haha i will be glad to share my experiences over here!

i agree FRs' stealing the limelight in ID5 but to me FF would be easier to enter corners...i guess that is right...? haha.

up till now i have been playing more on TAs on Akagi downhill dry...i tend to brake A LOT before i can get my EK9 around the corner...frankly speaking it's more than enough time for FR's to steal the inner line...!

hey Shaojie!

i have tried the game.. i am still adapting to the steering changes.. but now i can steadily enter corners and exit it..

i was just busy tuning and playing with EG6.. didnt experiment with FRs just yet.. but so far it is quite fun the game..

i was very very very busy in Nagao and Happo.. Shift shift shift.. brake shift.. shift..

would try a FR tomorrow night i guess.. see if things goes my way tomorrow..

shaojie more experiment needs to be done..

Akina is fun for FF too..

i find FF harder to enter corners but stable when exiting.

agreed... FF are harder to enter corners.. it understeers into corners and then understeer out again.. it is an understeer car...

so i guess feint would help in the game.. experiment tonight..

Maybe you should experiment with braking earlier and more instead....

haha happo and nagao is a crazy map...for now i have 0 idea on its rythm etc...

yeah i have always been doing something down shift to gear 2 brake a lot then enter the corner at 80 plus 90 but 1 thing to note is that to me because of the heavy emphasis between the difference of FRs and FFs...ID5 'forces' the FF drivers to drive more like circuit drivers due to its heavy understeer...this is a personal conclusion because eventually i am looking for apex for the corners when i play now... blink.gif

my friend has a FC so through him i can really see the oversteering he makes etc...as for me i mostly have to deal with understeering...

or perhaps any advice from the pros...? grin2.gif
