I don't know about ES, but AS4 was only hard on Takumi (Akina) the first time around, now I can beat him no problem.

I recently purchased Extreme Stage, and I found that at first it was pretty difficult, even though I'm a longtime V4 player. I guess the difference between the arcade version's wheel and mine really makes a difference. ES doesn't feel as drifty as Version 4. Happogahara is pretty hard, it seems I either don't brake enough or I brake too much, and the AI passes me.

LOL I had no idea people considered this game hard, Guess maybe I got better then I thought playing this game religously for a while.

The game feels almost exactly like AS4. I dont like Happogahara, it feels like driving on ice, even when I take it easy and brake early.

It's SEGA's way of hinting that you should pour money into the arcade version since it actually has some difficulty to it. tongue.gif

That's a good question and sadly I don't know if we'll ever see it on a console. I hope so, but I just don't know. crying2.gif

comparing IDSS to IDES for PS3 I probably won't buy another version of ID on playstation after this massive dissapointment of a game.

IDSS had a VERY competitive internet ranking, LOTS of music, TONS of courses (some exclusive courses), and amazing combination of V2 and V3 physics. It was probably to date the best initial D game ever made.

IDES was a joke... the music was alright, the IR ranking meant next to nothing, the courses were OK only because of happo, and the physics? Do I really need to comment on ID4/IDES physics?

It's just sad. Sega really hit it on the head with IDSS, then completely threw all progress away with this garbage port of a garbage game.
