| Finally it is here. a very good rip of Initial D Extra Stage. It is now an AVI file and very good quality at that. Pretty much dvd quality. This time the file size is only 1.82 gigs. Exact same file size as my Prelude to Project D. I am pretty sure I used the same codec. Which is Mpeg 4. I have already tested the video and everything is ok. | I can understand why there is no good copy of it out because it is VERY HARD to rip. It took me a long time to find a good program to rip it with. There were many audtio codec problems with the programs. In order to view this rip of it you must have a codec and use Windows Media PLayer. I'll fill you people in on it if you want it. |

| Then why dont you rip it. Im sorry but there is just no other way. Im serious, it took me many days to try to find a way to rip it. This is the only way I could do it without subtitle, audio, or video problems. I would love to see someone ip this with English subtitles and still have it good quality. And have it an AVI file. |

| Of course I have tried that but there is always audio errors. If I try to ignore the error and still convert it. The video and audio will be off. It wont be synchronized. |

| The video also supports 2.1 surround sound. The quality of this video is great. Nothing wrong with it. All you need is the codec. |

| daym 3.5gig for Extra Stage ?? You should really encode it in divx/xvid..... most of the fansub groups use divx/xvid because these codecs compresses the video files to a reasonable size for sharing. If you are having trouble ripping or converting this site has all the info u need: http://www.videohelp.com/ neway I have a DVDrip of battle stage which is in xvid. The file size is ~400mb, 640x480 and its fansub quality. (not the blurry quality one on kazza and the http website).    how about we share this one instead of the 3.5gigs file u ripped? I use ICQ and IRC... I could send u the file first and we can start with 2 seeds. please dont take this the wrong way, you are really doing a great thing trying to share ID with the community. I just think it is insane to share Extra Stage at 3.5gigs. |

| hm lets see if you want to convert vob to avi you could use Virtual Dub Mod - http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=332#comments But I would just rip the DVD directly to divx or xvid. Have you tried the programs I sent you? |

| All you have to do is open the video file and it will work from there. Some people dont like Extra Stage, but I think it is still worth seeing. Initial D isnt just anbout the battles. |

heh why aren't you encoding in divx/xvid ? 1.8gigs is still way too big  divx/xvid gives a great compression/quality ratio. A 55min video should come out to be about 4-500mb if you encode it in fansub quality. If you are saying that's poor quality then u r just saying all the fansubs we watch are of poor quality  |

| Im saying it could be better quality. I have a big screen(17" i think) So I see what the real quality of things are. If you have a 800x600 screen of course a 500mb video will look fine. And yes I did use a Divx codec. |

| I declare that I have uploaded a little more than the equivalent of two copies of Extra Stage (about 4 gigs uploaded). The first time I uploaded about 1.8 gigs as i was downloading, then i closed it. The next session i uploaded 650 megs. The one after that, 770 megs. And finally my current session, 790 megs. |

| Well you did get my attention by bumping the thread. I dont think you can watch it while its downloading, it will probably say something like "file is being used by a different program". So the answer would be no. You just have to wait until your done downloading it. |

| Iguess you can watch it if you arent downloading it at the moment, but if I am correct Bit Torrent downloads in.... whats the word..... it llike downloads in parts, meaning the file wont be in order. I cant explain it that well. To answer the other mans question. The subtitles are part of the video, there is no seperate subtitle file. I dont like to do that. All my rips have the subtitles in the video. |

| What codec are you using to be shure. Div-X 5.1.1 or Div-X 5.2? By the way, i've downloaded the movie from Team Apex (2119MB), the first cd is complete, i can open the files of the subtitles but the video is not working and is all downloaded. It is encoded in xvid and ac3 for audio but no player runs the video. Is a DVD-Rip but this never happened for me. I´ve downloaded a lot of dvd rips but this is the first time that this happen. Do I need any other coded or player because this was not supouse to happen. |

What exactly are you talking about? The Team Apex video? Im guessing your talking about a rip that has the subtitles seperate from the actual video. Well I dont do that. Im not exactly sure if its the Divx 5.1.1 or 5.2. I pretty sure it shnuldnt make a difference. Just make sure you have a divx codec. ive tried watching the video without the codec and it doesnt get that good without it. I dont use AC3 audio either. I dont want to make others have to get a lot of codec just to download and watch this codec. All you should need is the Divx and/or the Xvid codec. Any other questions? |

| The Team Apex is the group that rip the video. Is not about the subtitles, the problem is with the video because i can't play it on any program. I have the latest codecs and it should work but is not. Since you rip too, you might now something esle about dvd rips and codecs. |

| I've tried bsp. Im not worried about the subtitles, I wanna get movies with no subtitles so i can create my own ones in portuguese. But if the subtitle in english is good i leave it in english. The thing is, i now that the donwload is not finished 100% but the avi file is full because each part need to have 700MB to burn on cd. Files that are not finished like a Metallica show that i'm downloading play without the full size. I'ts strange this. It should run. |

| There will not be a SEED from me for this torrent. Becuz something is wrong with my BT Today i wanted to update my BT so i went to dl the latest bit tornado client, and reseted my ports to 6881-6999. And then all of a sudden it didnt work for me... so then i was like "no problem" So i reseted my settings and changed everything back to the way it was, but that didnt work either!!!!! ...i was like o...sh*t so there you have it...thats the story of why my seed for this torrent is down REALLY BIG EDIT: Guess whos back....back again... my seed is back, tell a friend (eminem tune, lol) HAHAHA hell yea!!!!....if you cant fix anything in windows XP...juss system restore!!!!!!! my seed it up~ EDIT2: omg..dangit sorry people for double posts...didnt realize that i did that...lol sorry |

| No, you dont need Internet Explorer or your web browser open to download or help seed. You leave the Bit Torrent program open after you download to help seed. |

| I spent a week downloading this and it doesnt work!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only get that stupid windows is encounting an error dialog box EDIT: All is ok I opened it up in DIVX player instead of Media Player, Winamp, PowerDVD or Media Player classic LOL those dodgy quality copies before this one should hang their heads in shame the quality of the CG in extra stage is VERY GOOD! |

| this doesnt have the menu does it....ne chance of getting the menu. I cant believe ive missed out on this, i just finished 4th stage 24 (last ep) and then i found the extra stage dvd. I always thought extra stage was that shit music video, so i downloaded that and left it cos thats all i can find, thank god i can finally complete the series to date. i hope theres nothing more. 1st stage (1-26), 2nd stage (1-13), extra stage(1-2, or one whole movie), battle stage, 3rd stage movie, 4th stage (1-24) and live action movie right??? |

a seed is someone who downloaded the entire file(movie in this case), and is uploading it from his computer through the bittorrent program. it allows leechers to download faster, and reduce the amount of time needed. |

| Hey all check out this. Extra Stage"Dual Audio" and encoder is "B-A" and that team is AWESOME.
