6. Skitz (PYTON) (ElceeTakahashi in the boards)
- Formerly the scourge of Shomaru Outbound with her AT RX8, Skitz has also begun the girl's MT training regiment and her experience in ID is showing as well although she still needs to adjust in a big way. Its almost like starting from scratch. But I know you can do it Skitz

Yeah.... its really from the scratch!! im used to 5-6 steering but now im going down gradually using 4 then now im lovin the 3... then eventually ill be on 2..

this is really a big challenge for me coz i am really into AT eversince lol... now im going to my next level for MT using 180SX... goodluck for me.. and this will take time.. im just lucky coz its not expensive in SM Pamp.. 4php per game..

Fate... how are you? sorry i hvnt really posting much at the international forums here in IDW like before.. coz i stayed here with my co-flip peeps.. hehe... but im glad that you are now posting here.

guys.. since fate is already posting regularly here.. can we give him a break haha.. i mean as he is always asking ENGLISH please.. hehe. .

I am really considering myself as a NOOB now... coz of MT!! but im lovin it bit by bit.. tnx tim!

hopefully i can reach the target set by wolf before i hit a wall on akina. i was stuck on akagi so he suggested i practice my skills on akina. wish me luck too!

The legendary junetrish, welcome to my thread, LOL. I dont think you need to be a CUB with your legendary skillz! happy.gif

But if you ARE interested, you do know the requirements.

To my CUBS:

Three people are pleading to be CUBs. Two of them actually went to mega while I was playing and asked to be CUBs. I'm suddenly thinking if I should get paid for this, LOL. Anyway, please give me updates regularly ok? Remember, NONE of you has finished the training yet. Level 2 is the highest that a CUB has been in. I dont think its hard. With the amount of practice and training you guys are into, focus on passing level 2 first. You will have tons of battles after, believe me.

@Kael:

I need Jo to text me also individually about her updates if its ok with you. There will be times (hopefully) that she practices even if you're not with her. Please tell her to text me, give her my number. She has to update me like Skitz does.

@Skitz:

I'm very excited about you and Jo. Please tell me ANY TIME that you can come to Manila. But whatever steps in the training, I will keep you updated even if you're far. I'm loving the passion you're putting into this. You remind me of myself when I first started training under master Son and master Feint.

@Aries:

Dude... Globe sim is just 120 pesos... wink2.gif

@Nanar:

I will need to meet with you next week or next next week with the CUBs. They will also see if you're fit for the training already.

@xFatex

I will make a vid with my FC soon for Akina and Akagi. With a none-TST line. But one big favor if you can do it. Make a vid of you in Akina and Akagi. Trust me that will work wonders on how I can help you.

i was inspired tho and realized that i need to put up to the next level.. the MT thing.. coz its really been a year that im using AT and made my points there anyhow.. and last night i just got my fear overtaken by this lolz.. first time that i beat bunta on Akina as for the last shot of the LOTS and got the Akina Snow as well that i never win before then i tot that i should practice more.. but now with MT already... I just need time... coz its back to work time and only weekends that i can play

i really had a good feeling about being close to "mamaw" peeps like you when i battle haha.. or i know you guys just gave the battle to me haha.. geezz..

Well i just really curious of these terms such as Feint "Drift", 5 In 4 Out, Magic Eraser and the greatest TST... so i tried to research and this may also help other peeps who do not know .. like me (noob in MT).. i must understand these stuff by heart and it would really take time for me to execute these stuff all together perfectly.

Feint "Drift"
Technically speaking, it is not possible to actually drift in Initial D Arcade Stage. However you can follow the feint motion to achieve higher exit speeds and more fluent turning.
The feint was introduced in version 1 and fully utilized by Akina Master Extra HC. The basic concept is still out-in-out except that before aproaching the turn from the outside and staying out the whole time, you start on the inside.
Figure a1:
1) Approach the turn from the inside lane
2) Swing the car to the outside
3) Turn the car inside.
To follow these steps, one should know the timing of turn back outside, roughly 50-100m depending on the turn. It is important to keep everything else constant meaning normal out-in-out braking at the same time you normally would without feint. This is the biggest problem for people first starting to use this technique, they forget to slow down. If you don't have full understanding and control of out-in-out line, it is not recommended that you try feint yet.
Another advantage of following the feint line is that it effectively prevents understeer. Sometimes if the wheels on the machine are not good, they'll shake while your car appears to be going straight, this might cause sudden movements before a corner causing the car to not turn at all for the corner. Feinting keeps most of the car's movements in your control so that understeer will not occur.

5 In 4 Out
Introduced in version 2, 5 in 4 out was initially a hard concept to understand. The name, however, is quite self explanitory. One approaches a corner and does all the braking and slowing down in a higher gear (on 5 gear cars: 5th gear). Then during the acceleration part of the corner, one would shift down to a gear (in 5 gear cars: 4th gear). The idea behind this is that 5th gear keeps a higher speed but the car still slows down enough to complete a turn. The player shifts down a gear for faster acceleration.
Sounds like a simple idea but if one is used to 4-in-4-out shifting during a turn, they will notice that you must brake a lot more for 5-in-4-out.

Magic Eraser
Initially dubbed "The Outrun Technique" eraser is now an essential technique in IDv3. Introduced early version 3, eraser was intended for the game Outrun 2 only.
In version 3, one would shift up a gear then down a gear again which causes the car to turn a little more. HOWEVER! Do not expect ID to behave like outrun, the outrun eraser is performed during a turn while for it to be effective in Initial D, eraser must be performed as earliest as possible before a corner. If you have already learned feint, feint a little earlier and turn in a little, then eraser and complete the turn as usual. With eraser, it is possible to complete some turns full gas when you normally wouldn't be able to. Some turns can be exited with higher exit speed by using multiple erasers but anything more than 3 is not recommended. Most turns are just 1 eraser and a few are 2. There are rare situations when 3 is needed. Remember that eraser works by helping your car turn a little more, so angle the car towards the corner first, (just turn the wheel a little inwards) then shift up and back down quickly. This technique will not make your car go faster as in Wangan Midnight: Maximum Tune (dubbed the Gacha Technique).

TST
TST is an English acronym for the Chinese word: Tsat Sheung Tsat literally translating into erase-up-erase.
Introduced a few months after eraser, TST is quite literally bullshiit.
On turns where the player has enough room + distance to prepare for the turn, they can use the TST technique.
The first form of TST, I will use the first turn of Akina as an example. About 200m from the corner, the car should be as close to the inside as possible but leaving enough room for the car to turn inwards a little (usually near the middle of the lane). There should be room left because at this point, the player needs to use the Eraser Technique twice.
The car will be locked going that direction (right for the first turn of akina). Then turn the wheel the otherway (left) as fast as possible, then swing back and erase again and brake, apex, etc.
As you can see, this is quite unbelievable, it is not even driving anymore.
However this with this technique, exit speeds can be 1-2km faster. It is not recommended to use this technique untill you are very familiar with the game concept (usually at most 2 seconds away from world record time). The concept of TST is basically a mega feint and multiple eraser combined, by erasing twice early, the car naturally wants to turn that way, swinging out just gives more time to get the correct line and eraser back in once more.

WOAH

all i can say is the style is aggresive. i can't really tell where the eraser was used but the place i think it happened is the last hairpin before the final long right to the finish

http://youtube.com/watch?v=L5gz9e9wzrw

i used to use that vid for reference.

though your vid was enuf to help me make some changes. like hugging the rail after coming out of the 1st hairpin. the first turn leading to the consecs ( the one with the yellow black arrows) you stayed in 5th and only shifted to 4th at the next right hairpin. the next hairpin i was wondering if u had used eraser there.

wow...to do that kind of run i have to keep practicing to find the right braking point. the apex was hit beautifully unlike the way i drive.

@xFatex:

Guess I dont have to make a vid after all, my friendly Other Asia rival, CLOUD, beat me to the punch, LOL.

Those times are at least a second or two faster than my times. You were right about the eraser on the vid CLOUD showed. But Akagi will come a little later. You know your little mission, right? I'm sure it will help you master the 5i4o much better. happy.gif

@Lance.Ryosuke:

It's very flattering to know that you wish to be a CUB under my wing but I honestly dont think you need the training. Besides, I havent made a good training regiment dealing with international students. I have a good training regiment for those in my country coz I can supervise and give a hands-on type of training. But hey man, you're part of Team Kenmei! Lots of great drivers there who I'm sure can give you a hand.

You're still more than welcome to keep posting in the thread. We're all friendly here. happy.gif

@ATTENTION CUBS:

After the battle with Brianinfinispirit, I've arranged another sparring session this time with the Leader of Team D.R.I.F.T. of Sucat. So be sure to keep your skills on edge, I wasnt that satisfied with your performance on the last battle although you guys had your wins. Be ready. I'll inform you through text.
