While growing up I was taught that there are 3 types of angels: Seraphim, Angels, and Cherubim. Among those 3 kinds there's a hierarchy of orders, positions, or jobs given to each by God individually.

☆ Seraphim are the most beautiful and luminescent of angels, bearing six wings on their body (two on their back - two on their hips - and two on their feet) to carry out a special mission God appoints this sparse but powerful class of angels. A common order assigned to Seraphs is to be the steward of a nation, for example, the Angel of Portugal.

☆ Angels or regular angels are the most common type of angels, bearing only two translucent wings on their backs for their conventional but specific mission God appoints each of them. One common position of an Angel is that of a lifelong guardian, for example, a Guardian Angel.

☆ Lastly Cherubs or Cherubim, the smallest and closest to God's heart, bearing two small wings in proportion to their youthful semblance. They're the most free of all the angels, swiftly piercing in & out of Heaven innocently to their heart's content. A common job given to Cherubims is that of a messenger, for example, telling someone to look both ways before crossing a busy street.

Of these 3 types of angels, active in a myriad of orders, God chooses 7 to be his Archangels; Seven temporary rotational positions, depending on the unique need of humanity & creation at the present time. Only angels that have sacrificed their wings for someone else, an extremely hard and almost impossible thing to do for any kind of angel, are chosen by God to become Archangels. Once their task is fulfilled, their original wings reappear in an even brighter color, and the position is passed on ～ ♪

★ In the Dragon Quest universe .. there's a living item called the Teardrop of God. Said to be, as the name suggests, the immaterial manifestation of God's innermost tenderness.

Nobody knows exactly how it came into existence .. devils in Makai believe it was created by heaven itself to upset the balance between the three worlds. To Humans on Earth the item is simply a myth, said to have been key in part of a great war between humans & devils, which overturned the tide and secured victory & survival for humanity. And to the angels in Heaven, the item is something to be revered in awe, having purposefully fallen to quench all those who willingly refuse the water of God's love.

Any living creature, no matter how weak they are, can obtain God-like power if the Teardrop deems the desire of their hearts worthy. However, being a living item with free will, the only way to communicate with it .. is being sincere .. as it can only hear the voice of the heart ♡

In the Dragon Quest manga - the son of the legendary Dragon Knight：Ryukishi Balan - Dai .. encountered a small glowing light in the forest when he was little. Thinking it was just a normal golden metal slime with wings, he friended & betook it as his pet. There it resided under the name of Gome-chan, where it told Dai it had fled civilization to escape the greedy hearts of humanity.

Gome-chan accompanied Dai and his party thru countless adventures & all of the Dragon Quest manga. Ultimately finding solace in the warmth of Princess Leona's breast ~ there fixed like a pendant ~ where it would come out to cheer & aid Dai and his party when a miracle was needed ☆

It cannot be destroyed, it's merely reborn every time it grants a wish, then reappears again where a wish is needed the most ..
