Lol, i know its not aimed at me, but thats the only reason I bought an evo. I live in the mountains in japan, and you NEED 4wd, or chains. Obviously I wasnt going to buy a boring car, and the evo ticked all the boxes As for using the gutter, essentially, its like being on a rollercoaster. Ive tried this technique a few times, and have also used it at mount haruna. I feel it puts too much strain on the car. As someone mentioned, Im not too keen on exiting the corner minus a wheel lol But it all depends on the angle of the ditch, in effect, as most people are probably aware, it lets you take the given corner very fast, faster than a good line. Its like being on rails.

I spy Sabelt harnesses! I miss mine Man I'd love to spend some more time living in Japan, I'll probably invade my friend's place in Chiba. From what I've heard S-compound tires are much cheaper to buy/afford than the crappy "summer max performance" selection that we have in the 'States.
Yes, us Socal 4WD/AWD people have the tendency to have 4WD/AWD for other reasons rather than "seasonal changes"

A lot of people didn't believe me either at first (I took it as a diss at first, but now I realize that it's just to be sure)... maybe it's just that way with Evos... |

Time to slam into 2nd gear! Group: Advanced Members Posts: 1,861 Member No.: 3,866 Joined: Oct 23rd 2004 Location: Mississauga | It's not just Evos, it basically goes for ANY car short of a crap box. Too many peeps have claimed to have 86s, Evos, STis, R32 or whatevers. I think I was the one who gave you a little trouble for your Evo claims but then again I forget. Too many people have claimed to be part of the Evo / Sti competition and too many times it smelled funny. |

I just looked it up, it was Nomake Wan and WRX DEMON Type R who were openly skeptical, though they were pretty nice about it. If anything, I was the one who was a little hostile because I got defensive since I didn't know that everyone was pretty much asked to take pics with bread and milk (though I had neither at the time and just put a bottle of ketchup on the hood). It's all good though.

Yeah man, I wasn't trying to be rude. It is just that a lot of people come on here, and say that they have all this stuff, go to these places etc etc etc, and can never back it up. However, I retract the statement I made before, as you can prove it. Very nice Evolution by the way. Also, I have no idea where that photo was taken, as I am not an OMGWTFJDM fanboi, and really don't pay attention anymore to Initial D. At all. Oh thats sad to hear about his GT-R. But god, you look like you have too much fun in japan (i wish i could do that in the snow) How much in USD does a GT-R go for (R32)? I know evos 1-4 don't go over the million yen range? am i correct or is these prices daydreams? This post has been edited by murphanation on Feb 23 2008, 12:13 AM

I picked my evo 2 up for, i think 6000usd equivalent (im from the uk, so I usually convert to pounds) Cheapest evo 1s for about 3000usd Evo 2's 3000-7000 Evo 3's 3000-9000 Evo 4's 5000-14000 (1,400,000yen) some rough guides as for the r32 gtr, anywhere from 9000 to 30000, my mates cost about 17000 (prices all in us dollars - just took a few noughts off the japanese price) we just got about 30cms of snow here today, went to have a lil play on the car park, but my intercooler and bumper all got blocked up with snow lol, finally some justification to owning a high power 4wd to get you out of the snow lol This post has been edited by djmisio85 on Feb 23 2008, 05:55 AM
