So I've retired the AE86. It's full daily status now. Been building a Miata TT car for NASA.

Dat 60fps tho.

You should really get a bar mount for the camera to hang it into the interior so you can see your inputs and have a better view of the track, doing so for me has been absolutely invaluable in progressing as a driver.

That car looks like a ton of fun though, I keep trying to get a buddy to let me turn a few laps in his boosted NA with aero on NT01s.

I actually need a GoPro haha. The one I'm using in those videos isn't even mine - it's borrowed.

Been thinking about those 360 cams. Very cool.

This was my first time driving on slicks. Scary. Even braking is scary.

My 86 (showcased in another thread somewhere on this forum) is a bit different, as it is completely swapped and modernized.

It's a fun car. It's a kind of fun that other cars can't convey, like a happy dog so to speak. It's not necessarily fast (even with the f20 I have), or comfortable (everything rattles, it's an aged car), or competitive (currently, it classes with C5 Corvettes due to mods, but I'm not good enough a driver to handle that class), but it is most certainly fun.

Being classed with Corvettes is awful, ask me how I know. I'm waiting for Optima classing revisions to be announced, but I'm not expecting any revolutionary changes. If things don't make me more competitive I'm throwing another 100+hp at the car to close the gap as much as I can.

Slicks are a whole different animal than street tires. Tons more grip right up until there isn't. While street tires will give you 5-7 degrees of slip angle before they start letting go, slicks are 2-3. No more gray area, no forgiveness.
