I'd like to say this.

There are some fanfictions that are lame and smell of doo. These should not plague our eyes any longer by remaining at the top of the lists or in the fanfic directory. And creating a forum dedicated to Fanfiction will invite more of these people who should be allowed near a keyboard. Or there should be Quality Control mods in place.

Let's see...complete disrespect for grammar and spelling, ignorance of plot and building up to it, no real plan, huge plotholes, God knows how many Mary Sues...

Yeah, yours qualifies for the recycling bin unless you clean it up.

For the Recycling bin? Yes. It's too convoluted, the characters are unrealistic even for Initial D, the cars are ridiculous and have no real specs.

-Jt-, my fic does not count. It's a parody that I have no attachment to. If people want to delete it, let them. I'll get on with my life.

That sounds just like me when I used Group B cars in my old Initial D fanfic. Uber Mary-Sues. Now that I write an original story, it's much more relaxed XD Of course, I did try to rewrite another fanfic, but I shoved it aside, since I no longer have the motivation to do fanfics.

Fanfiction is the one category which I'll allow to "break" the rules. If it's just to post another chapter, double-posting is okay. Look at Meteor's fanfic--chapters 3 and 4 are technically double-posts, but since they're chapters, they're fine.

Yah, Sorry -JT- and Meteor, but not to be harsh, but i do not enjoy reading your stories, the spelling errors are so common its insane. Its hard to care enough to read your guys' stories. And yes kiddies plot does matter AND OMG!!! NEVER USE IDAS TERMINOLOGY. dry.gif

But anyways, if you could clean this up it would make your stories a lot better. whistling.gif

Err.. if it's spelling and grammar, look at yourself first as well.

I'll have to say that writing crappy fanfics help out quite a lot. It's actually important for a person to receive constructive criticism to be able to develop better stories, as long as they accept it (which is hard for me XD). But, it would be a LOT better if your grammar is correct when writing. Remember, once you've created a fanfic, make sure that it ACTUALLY reaches the end.

To the people who give comments/reviews, please avoid taking the chance to flame a person. It doesn't really help that much. But, I'm not saying that your comments/reviews should always be "OMFG, You Rock!" or something like that. If you find a mistake in someone else's writing, point it out to him. Like I said, it's good for self-development. Even REYHERKS has a chance...I think. whistling.gif

I'll post mine when the actual section is confirmed. grin2.gif

I don't think REYHERKS has the intelligence to make even a crappy fic.

Some of them:

"Foreword"
"The as the first turn approached"
"when the Keisuke"

BTW. I don't see frequent spelling errors in my fic.

Dave, you need also note that you are 26, whereas JT is 13. thus, he hasn't had that much education as you or me, thus it's unfair to expect perfect grammar from him. I'm willing to bet that your grammar wasn't that good 13 years ago.

For the non-Initial D section: https://idforums.net/index.php?showtopic=22902

I think a section for fanfics would be cool, but each topic has to be verifyed by a moderating team before its posted, to avoid spam and such.

Okay, my two cents about fanfictions:

If there's something that I hate more than bad grammar, a weak plot or horribly slow updates, is when someone starts several stories at the same time and then never finishes them. Ever.

This really gets on my nerves nearly as much as people who completely ignore the personalities of the different characters, for instance, I recently read a fanfiction where, people get ready for this: Ryosuke Takahashi GIGGLES!!

Enough said, methinks.

I was reading at a collegiate level at age 5. -JT- and I are on two completely different intelligence levels.

Besides, Midnight is younger than I am and he writes on a level that surpasses mine. What's your answer to that?

I rest my case. Also, I can only blame myself because I spend all of a few minutes scrawling up a new chapter and then slapping it on here. What bugs me is that my -worst- effort is better than most people's works on here. rolleyes.gif After all, "Serious Business" is not something I care about. I admit it's a dramedy\Dark Comedy but in the end I don't put effort into it, and work with no effort from me should not be better than 80% of the crap out there.
