Only in the big places, like LA and New York, who got it a week before, if I remember correctly. They aired it here during the second set.

Oh, yeah, I remember now. Anyway, here's to hoping they get it again. I love that theater. Classic mom-and-pop style little place with a really nice environment inside. Even putting aside the fact that I had a blast and met some really awesome /a/nons (now good friends) there, it was the best movie-going experience I've ever had.

How much were the tickets, anyway? Since I want to have money put aside to make sure nothing stops me.

I want to say they were $12 each, but don't quote me on that.

Plus however much merchandise might cost. They had a number of movie posters there that were originally intended for sale, though they ended up raffling them off to the audience for free (seriously). My brother won one.

Damn it, merchandise. Hmm, whatever I have to spare at that time, then.

The first two movies were $25. I can only hope the third will be half that.

First US date confirmed. http://images.puella-magi.net/d/d0/Rebelion_Movie_Ohio.png

Update!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Rebellion US Premiere Information

So a good chunk of theaters are going to be showing this film on December 6th at unannounced prices. The actual US premiere, however, will be at The Egyptian in Hollywood on the 3rd...and will have a wallet-raping $40 ticket price. YIKES. Now, that's the big premiere night with all the special shit and everything, and a good chunk of that ticket is likely the buttload of swag that they're giving out (not even counting the for-sale merch!). I would imagine the 'normal' showtimes, the ones that start on Dec 6, will be less.

For reference, last year my friends and I went to Downtown Independent in downtown LA, which will be the Dec 6th showing. No theater other than the premiere has pricing listed yet as far as I can tell, but we'll assume that Downtown Independent will be $25 like it was last year (even though it'd be nice if it were like, $13 instead since it's only one movie).

See you at the movies!

The Madoka movie is going to be premiering at a theatre in the ghetto for me, which also happens to be where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested after killing JFK.

IT'S HAPPENING...!

Almost all the theaters are finally opening up ticket sales today. I'm gonna be attending the 7PM showing on December 6th at Downtown Independent in Los Angeles, CA. Just in case y'all were wondering and wanted to/were capable of attending. awesome.gif Pricing on tickets for all theaters (except the pre-premiere on the 3rd of course) appears to be $15, right where I figured they'd be. Super sweet!

See you at the movies!

Yep, unfortunately unlike last year it appears that the tickets won't be physical but rather will remain digital. That's kinda too bad, I liked having a memento. sad.gif But as long as I can see the film... I don't mind too much.

Now to wait for my request to go through at work...and nab a plane ticket.

Now to save up for merchandise.

Oh, I'm hoping for Nonaka Ai's autograph in that blind box. Or Saitou Chiwa.

Honestly I'd be okay with anyone's...

I'm a huge Kyouko fan, so I think I'd end up getting it framed, if I got her's. derp.gif

Edit: I wonder if we'll get any of the merchandise... I know the site says otherwise, but who knows.

Did you last year? That'd probably be a good indicator.

Also, I admit I can't not like Kyouko. Actually...the only Madoka character (main, anyway) I don't have a figure of is Sayaka. Poor Sayaka. laugh2.gif

KyouSaya is adorable though, so...she gets a pass...

I don't know, I missed the movies.

Kyonpalm, help me here! whistling.gif

Anyway, yeah. KyouSaya is probably one of my favorite pairings of all time. And I'm Home, hnng.

Aren't the movies just recaps of the entire series? Which is why I didn't bother watching them...

Tissue box can mean two things, by the way.

Watching the Madoka movies is not a time for fapping. Also, while the movies are recaps, they also make some corrections here and there and change a few scenes around. Nothing so major that it would disrupt the third film for people who'd never seen the first two, I would think, but there were some changes.

There's one in particular that hit pretty hard when I saw it in theaters, and only after I got the movies on bluray did I realize why it hurt so much more in the movie version. crying2.gif
