However, Moritaka is reluctant to pursue his dream as his uncle, once a mangaka with his own serializations, died from overwork trying to regain his lost status. With Akito's help, Takagi gets another classmate and his school crush, Azuki Miho, who is an aspiring voice actress, to voice in the anime adaptation of their future manga once it is completed. However, Mashiro also proposes to Azuki, who surprisingly accepts only on the condition she will marry him when both of them have achieved their dreams. With a goal set before him, Mashiro begins a long and struggling path to become a famous mangaka. Atsushi Abe as Moritaka Mashiro Satoshi Hino as Akito Takagi Ayako Kawasumi as Kō Aoki Ayumi Fujimura as Aiko Iwase Hirofumi Nojima as Yūjirō Hattori Junichi Suwabe as Shinta Fukuda Kenji Hamada as Tarō Kawaguchi Kentarou Tone as Akira Hattori Kenyuu Horiuchi as Chief Editor Sasaki Nobuhiko Okamoto as Eiji Niizuma Saori Hayami as Miho Azuki Sayuri Yahagi as Kaya Miyoshi Shinji Kawada as Assistant Chief Editor Heishi Tomoyuki Shimura as Takurō Nakai This post has been edited by Chidoki on Sep 23 2010, 04:08 PM |

Yah it's not a surprising answer to hear that from people, almost most of my local anime friends thought I was talking about Bakugan. Even one of my friends who talked about Bakuman to me got me thinking it was Bakugan he was talking about lol.

There was this one chart for the fall or winter season I saw and it said that Bakuman would be on there, but it was unofficial, so don't expect too much. Which is a shame, as I've read the first few chapters recently, and I think it's a pretty good series.

Not necessarily. The manga was written and illustrated by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the original "Death Note" team, but I don't know who will be doing the animation here. If it's the same studio that did the Death Note anime, that would be pretty cool. Or should I say, all according to keikaku?

But isn't J.C. Staff sort of known for kind of introducing their own things in some of the adaptations they do (Zero no Tsukaima, Chrono Crusade)?

Sure, the novels for Zero no Tsukaima were WAY better than the anime, but the anime was still pretty awesome. *gestures towards avatar* This post has been edited by SgtXDNX on Sep 4 2010, 06:42 PM |

They're not afraid to deviate from the source material time to time. Whether it ends up being a good thing or bad thing is a case to case issue imo.

First episode has been translated, haven't gotten around to watching it, since I've been watching the much more disturbing Ore No Imouto in it's place, not to mention the Iron Man anime adaptation has started, AND Star Driver. It's been on my HDD for about a day, will get around to it sometime /boggle.

Since this is a tent-pole Jump series I take it that there is no clear cut end, i.e. 26 episodes only? |
