IDW God Member Group: Members Posts: 190 Member No.: 25,623 Joined: Aug 1st 2007 Location: Phoenix, AZ | it depends. when I'm playing at the arcade with a couple guys I know, sometimes we'll do boost on battles if the car's are the same (two ft ae86's for example) but what's really fun, is racing a bone stock cappi against a ft 86 on iro uphill with boost off. (I think we ran that track up and down several times, because I beat his time by .3 seconds with my 86, and he wanted to see if I really was faster than him ha) oh, when playing against noobs, I play boost on only because they don't know what the heck boost on/off is. it makes no difference really. (by noobs, I mean the people who go to the machine, rape the shifter/steering, then figure out how to start a game, then keep challenging you before giving up and leaving) This post has been edited by Kazuki on Aug 4 2008, 01:37 AM |

Request Title - PM Mods Group: Members Posts: 321 Member No.: 25,677 Joined: Aug 4th 2007 Location: penang | i have to agree that most of the players like to rape the shifter or turn the steering super hard for nothing. maybe they think that it's cool or something? or maybe they don't even know how to play |

IDW God Member Group: Members Posts: 190 Member No.: 25,623 Joined: Aug 1st 2007 Location: Phoenix, AZ | No, I mean BEFORE THEY EVEN PLAY, they f**k with the shifter and steering, acting like they're driving my car during my live replay. Not only that, when those type of people come around, or little kids, I constantly glance over to make sure they don't start trying to jam in the magnetic cards for the arcade tokens. It makes me screw up EVERY TIME. and more than half the time I'm practically yelling at them that the card slot for tokens is on the other side. Or I'll yell at them very angrily not to hit the screen (no glass+lcd+kids smacking=shattered lcd, not fun) I really wish the arcade could put some sort of 15+ age limit on the machine. oh yeah, they still rape the shifter even after choosing auto. Project Legacy Captain Group: Members Posts: 360 Member No.: 25,395 Joined: Jul 19th 2007 Location: Downtown L.A. | boost off is the way to go. though with boost on i can put unimaginable amounts of pressure on the other guy. i just keep swerving left and right and he keeps trying to block me. then at the last check point i overtake and full throttle towards the goal. its just so fun to see the other person trying so hard but get overtaken at like the last turn. but for real races its gotta be boost off. If they dont want to boost off, thats fine. But when they challenge me, I do exactly what they did. But pretty much everyone in japan always leaves boost on.
