Release Date: 12/01/11 New units confirmed: - Blue Astray Frame Second L - Crossbone X1 Full Cloth - Dynames (lol wtf?) - Raphael This post has been edited by Phantom_R32 on Sep 17 2011, 09:38 AM

Uh, you know that no Wing TV units are in Extreme VS, right? So no Epyon. You do know that...right? Actually that is the one major thing that disappoints me about the game. They bothered to remove suits that were playable in NEXT PLUS and continued NEXT PLUS's legacy of including CPU-only MS. What the heck good is that!? Dammit why can't I use an Overflag? Or a GN-X? Or GN-Arms? Or Ground Gundam? Or Gundam Throne Zwei? Or any of the numerous other CPU-only MS. It's ridiculous; in all other Gundam VS games before NEXT PLUS, if a suit or mobile armor appeared in-game it was playable. AEUG vs Titans didn't remove suits from Fed vs Zeon. Gundam vs Zeta Gundam didn't remove suits from AEUG vs Titans. OMNI vs ZAFT II Plus didn't remove suits from OMNI vs ZAFT. Then suddenly they're not including suits that were in the last game? I'm most sad to see Wing Zero TV and Freedom Gundam go, since Wing Zero was my main and Ethos (my eternal rival in Gundam games) mained Freedom. We're going to have to completely re-learn and pick something new. Not that it won't be fun, but really... why, Bandai? Why? I can only hope that since this is on a PS3 (thank god!) it'll be eligible for DLC. It would be really super awesome if they added suits (actually hell, just add series, please!!) via DLC. Like... uh... Gundam Wing TV? And please add Kampfer and Gundam X back in, and please add V-Dash. It's really sad to see 0080 and GX only having two MS each. Really, really sad. Come on, guys. Stop giving SEED and Destiny like fifty million MS and then bitching out on the UC. Stop hating on the originals. Now then, since this hasn't been updated in forever I may as well just put a quick update here to the MS that got added. I won't bother going into the CPU-only MS so here's the full confirmed playable roster so far:

I wasn't aware of this. I have to agree with you, dont really get why Bandai are leaving out some of these gundams on the game. Maybe its to encourage people to stick with the arcade instead? Well atleast I got Zeta Gundam to play with still This post has been edited by VileFCboy on Nov 27 2011, 09:32 AM

I think their excuse was that it's a new engine so they had to start the game from scratch. So that's probably why they didn't include the ones from Next Plus. But it is kinda crappy that we can't use the AI units.. and i guess they already have DLC planned for the game as well. The O, Freedom Gundam, Gottratan, Arche Gundam are in the first DLC batch. You realize that Gundam Wing TV wasn't in the arcade game either...right? There was no Epyon in it. The PS3 game has every single unit the arcade game has and more. @Phantom_R32: I hadn't seen that scan before today, wow. Ethos will be happy. My only worry is that they'll focus more on developing the next arcade game and will stop supporting the PS3 game on purpose. As for the NEXT PLUS -> EXVS theory, that's bunk. They bothered to put in CPU-only MS. The PS3 game disc is capable of holding 25GB of content. There's just no reason to remove things. Ah well, good thing they're doing DLC. Time to stock up on Japanese PSN cards. Wing Zero TV please!!! EDIT: Here is a nice clear scan of the DLC. Image size reduced, original size: 1218 x 1600. Click here to view the image in its original dimension. EDIT 2: DLC missions and mobile suits confirmed for free-of-charge. Scan here, it's in the very end of the staff interview: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xoJeAEckYnc/Ts6q...WUc/s1600/i.jpg Sweetness! No need for PSN cards! WOOT! Only if you were playing the NEXT PLUS arcade game. The closest thing to Epyon I can think of in terms of looks is Virsago if you mean Extreme VS. Two more days! Argh the wait is killing me!

Thanks for clarifying Anyways even with my little knowledge of Gundam, this is still a must-get in my list. So will this be available on playasia before December 1st? This post has been edited by VileFCboy on Nov 28 2011, 07:20 PM

Unfortunately the only retailer I know who ships early is Amazon.co.jp and they don't ship games internationally. Play-Asia, Yes-Asia and AmiAmi will all be shipping on December 1st. Two more days.

Cant wait for it to ship, which I'll have to bear with the long wait. Wanted online so I got this one http://www.play-asia.com/Mobile_Suit_Gunda...en-70-4d4m.html EDIT: I am quite surprised that Neo-China's gundam from G Gundam is confirmed to be in the game. They might as well have Gundam Rose (Neo France) in the game as well for the lolz. This post has been edited by VileFCboy on Nov 29 2011, 09:41 PM |

I'm going with the asian version. It's confirmed to have online and DLC as well. Not to mention it's cheaper. and the US > Hong Kong exchange rate is cheaper, so cheaper PSN cards. |

The only trick is you do need a South Asia PSN account to get the HiNu DLC activated, you can't use a JPN account. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Hopefully they'll stick with the iM@S tradition and continue releasing DLC. The website has updated saying that the first batch of DLC is slated for December 22nd, and sadly while add-on missions are free (and DLC suits appear as enemies) the actual add-on MS have a fee attached. Sigh. Bastards. Also, my game got out of customs today, so hopefully I'll have it tomorrow. Can't wait!

IDW's Furfag Group: Members Posts: 393 Member No.: 30,586 Joined: Sep 7th 2008 Location: Update Profile | I dont know what just happened but my order was sold out, even though I pre-ordered 2 days before its release. So I now just got my money back and what Phantom_R32 says is true, I'll go with the Asian Version instead. Can I have a source please for available online for the Asian version? Sorry its just that I got screwed with the Jap/Asian version system back when Initial D Extreme was first released. |

But just someone else who bought the asian version and confirmed it. And supposedly the menus even have English text at the top of the screen. |

It usually doesn't take that long for them to get more. Especially with a game as popular as this. |

ShiMACHaze Group: Advanced Members Posts: 19,542 Member No.: 5,394 Joined: Feb 5th 2005 Location: Drydock | You pre-ordered only two days before release on a game that was highly anticipated. That's what happens. You can't really expect that to work out. At least be a week in advance, then there would still be hope. Anyway, got the game today. Were it not for the fact that I've been up for quite a while I'd still be playing it. Went ahead and loaded in some custom BGMs to replace the BGMs I didn't care for and flipped through some of the MS. I have a good feel for what my mains will be but until I actually fight people I won't know how good they are. Time will tell. Only complaint about the game so far is that it's 720p, so I have to tell my monitor to scale out to 16:9. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it weren't the same monitor I were using for my desktop PC, which is 16:10. Sad day. Anyway, back to the grind! |

Bunch of friends over pwning Japanese players online. Feels good man. But now I think it's time to rest. My thumbs are on fire. No really, that damn D-Pad is rough! Main is confirmed as Wing Zero, though I can sub-main Susanowo and Tallgeese III. I really like Dynames but I haven't found a really effective way of using him. He's certainly better than Cherudim but I can't get the sniper rifle to hit reliably unless I catch someone stopping to recover boost. Most attacks can at least track a little so that they'll only miss if the person changes direction. Later all~ |
