I figured i'd start one so we can share ideas of what you would like to see in the newest game in one of the best racing franchises. Me personally i'd like to see (realistically speaking) Upgrades: More engine swaps, maybe cross manufacturer swaps although i doubt licensing would allow that Drag tires that will actually hook in a car with realistic gear ratios. Its not uncommon for cars to pull wheelies off the line. Manually controlled boost or power settings and perhaps a possibility to damage the engine from too much with simulation damage on. More wheels definitely. If not, different wheels. I was extremely dissappointed to find out that forza 4 had the same wheel selection as 3. More aero or wide body mods. Cars: of course more cars. Specifically jza70 supra or at least an ma70 not the ga70 model with a 210hp 2L i6 -___- Suzuki cappuccino Base model nb miata (not mazdaspeed) 86 levin or coupe Ae101/111 corolla with the 20v swaps to the 86  Less focus on exotics Pretty much turn 10 needs to take a look at gran tourismo's car selection and think wow they have a lot. The new console should be able to handle so much with the same great driving physics Play time: more smoke, an antilag system would be nice as an upgrade option for drag racers. Rally mode. I hope its more than likely since horizon added it. Tracks: ebisu, fuji, pocono, more touge moutain tracks would be awesome but i wouldnt count on it |

Body kits, headlight and tail light mods, visual muffler representation etc. And I'm a solid color paint type of guy, I couldn't care less about liveries. But the option to paint the wheel and rim separately would be nice so you could have color wheels with different color lips. More realistic engine tuning available as an option to turn on. Boost your turbo up to 3 bar without a good fuel system or bottom end? BAM! Put in a cam to rev to 10krpm without appropriate valve springs? BAM! Add 500hp on the stock clutch? BAM! Dyno run to check spark and fuel ratio etc. Adjust fuel pressure and timing and boost. Enable/disable in the difficulty options. That would be so awesome and could prevent people from just slapping on power if enabled online. EDIT: also gimme a Z31 and an S30 with the normal engine, not the 432. Lots more beaters, too. More older cars are a definite want. More swap options, engines and drivelines. More engine tuning. |

I would like to the see the level of customization be at least comparable to Forza 2 again. Things got simpler and simpler with 3 and 4 in a lot of ways... Another thing from 3 and 4 I could do without is the rewind feature. I know it's as simple as just turning it off, but I feel like it's something that really has no place in a game claiming to be any sort of sim. I'd also like to see some revision to the whole unicorn cars idea, though that's me just being mad that I never could get a Spirit R... |

I've been asking for more 90's Japanese cars since FM1 and I am still disappointed... Will they change now? I don't know, seems like the new cars got the win.. x_x

I wouldnt mind even seeing a gts skyline, s12, s110, 180's. i feel the brand going more towards exotics. They need to realize that the diehard forza fans dont give a shit about it. Whats so cool about gran turismo is that they have so many pointless cars to choose from. Wheras forza probly just makes sure they have all the bases covered and moves on. Btw the stupid vans and lemans cars can definitely be shrunken down a bit |

That guy from Belgium Group: Advanced Members Posts: 541 Member No.: 24,995 Joined: Jun 24th 2007 Location: Someplace you are not | So,... Turn 10 just dropped it today... 200 cars en 14 tracks. Eurogamer article link And that for a new, so called more powerfull, console? Sure there will be dlc to add to this, BUT why would you launch a game that has less over the last one, that was on the previous generation no less. What made them do this is this 'Autovista' or 'Forzavista' thingy, now all the cars have an autovista thing, and that driveatar stuff. I wonder who asked for this, nobody that I know wanted autovista. You can defend this all you like, but this is just wrong. You wanted more cars, NOPE we're only giving you 200 but you can open the doors and hoods of them all now. You wanted new tracks, nope we didn't get to scan them all, so here's 9 tracks you've seen and some new ones. /rant Looks like Microsoft was pushing for a release... |

I can't, because my country doesn't get a X1 on the release date. and besides, it had Porsches before. This post has been edited by Drift Dude on Nov 7 2013, 11:34 AM

Trust me, I'm a doctor. Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,186 Member No.: 1,277 Joined: Feb 14th 2004 Location: Bay City, MI | Welp... I was going to pick up a XB1 for this and Titan Fall. But it looks like I'll be waiting till Forza 6 comes out. The car list doesn't bother me too much. I usually end up using less than 50 cars anyways. But the track list is absolutely pathetic. Sure it has Spa and Mount Panorama now, but so does GT6. The only track that interests me is Yas Marina. I blame it on Microsoft though. If T10 had more time this could've been great, but instead they're forcing them to release it as a launch game. This post has been edited by Phantom_R32 on Nov 7 2013, 12:41 PM |

Not deterred. GT has always focused too much on the simulation side (and still done a horrid job with how little effort they put elsewhere), and beauty and other realism factors have suffered as a result. Especially audio. If I wanted my cars to sound like a fucking NES arcade racer, I'd break out my NES. It's 2013, and if I'm bouncing an Evo off the limiter at the start line as the countdown drops, it better sound AT LEAST like a turbo 4 if they want to be lazy, but my expectation is for it to sound exactly like the car I had in my driveway. That alone makes the GT experience a joke to me in comparison, where they simply don't care how it looks or feels. The only, and I mean ONLY saving grace to the series is GT5's multiplayer setup, with live lapping lobbies where people can join and leave as they please to switch cars, adjust tunes, or just in general be late to the party or early to bed without disrupting anything. GT5 (and based on what I've seen it'll extend to GT6) is a turd with a physics engine that recieved a very good effort, to the point where it slides out of Polyphony's butthole in an incredibly realistic manner. Forza Motorsport is, and always has been, far more polished, and much more of a joy to play, and it was in-my-face apparent when I first got my hands on Forza 2 on a shitty screen in the video game isle at Target, sticky-buttoned controller and all. |

Speaking of sounds... This game has me at the point where I'm tempted to buy as many cars as I can to see if ALL of them really do sound like their RL counterparts... Seriously, the Evo VIII is spot-on. I think a Subaru and a Wankel are next on the list. And it's not just the exhaust notes... The tire audio is very well done, and you can actually hear them loading up, at slip angle, and then past the traction limits. As for gameplay, so far, breakaway characteristics seem to be fairly realistic, simulation damage is actually at a simulation level, and overall it seems to be a huge step closer to actual track driving than any of the previous games. It does seem, based on what I've seen, that AWD is going to be a heavy hitter on the leaderboards again, I've put a quickly thrown together VIII into a couple top 250s, a few top 200s, and a notable number of top 150s, with a 101 to round it out.

Let me know how the Scoobaru sounds and give it some time on the leaderboards, remember.. not everyone can transition over to the next gen systems. >_>... -coughs.-

Hiretsuna rōjin Group: Advanced Members Posts: 6,779 Member No.: 16,670 Joined: Mar 16th 2006 Location: Montreal | I haven't even got past FM3 but I do prefer the older cars too. I have a old 1st gen xbox where I got a 90% matchi to my ID3 Sileighty. though that xbox is prone to frequent red ringing. I did get a xbox 360 within the past year, where I got my own car a fiesta 4 door though the FM3 version is 1 generation too old to match ie 2009 vs 2011 ie no small circular fog lights. I do enjoy playing Fm3 though I do crash a lot. Im probably average in skill or so. still cant deal with a manual transmission in FM3, its still tricky on any track much like Fujimo with hard turns but im actually trying to drive on difficult when I get around to playing it. that aside, I don't for see getting an xbox one anytime soon but id like to see Fujimi and some older cars in fm5. I also don't care much for the exotics that are coming often in the newer racing games. too bad they never got past the AE85 and got an AE86 in FM.
