Hey fellow travelers and car enthusiasts! I'm at a crossroads and I'd love to hear your experiences and insights. I'm torn between choosing a BMW and a Mercedes for my upcoming road trips. Both brands have their own unique appeal, from BMW's sporty performance to Mercedes' luxurious comfort. I'm looking for advice from those who have owned or driven either brand. What are the pros and cons you've encountered? Which one offers a better driving experience on long road trips? Factors like comfort, reliability, and overall enjoyment are important to me. Share your thoughts and help me make the best decision for memorable journeys ahead!

Coming from the comfort-focused '19 C300d with Airmatic, I can't stress enough how crucial ride quality was for me. However, beyond that, there wasn't much to write home about.

Unfortunately, the new S206/W206 C-class didn't quite hit the mark for me. The ride was harsher, the engine/gearbox combination felt a bit jittery, and the tablet-style infotainment didn't resonate well. Adding to that, the pricing in Germany was sky-high. So, I took a bold step, bid farewell to Mercedes-Benz, and embraced a Z4 M40i and M340i this year.
