If I understand your question correctly, the game more or less tells you. Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum/Specialist are official ranks in the game based on your finishing time. Specialist ranks are highly regarded as they're pretty hard to get. Platinum is more like great but not the top of the higher echelons. Most players would be able to get Platinum for any course eventually, though some practice and training is needed. Most players won't have a Specialist or at least only have one or two. Players having most courses as Specialists are truly the gods of the game. This post has been edited by SonicSP on May 8 2017, 07:54 PM | ||

One way you can do this is if Sega publishes the full TA ranking for every course (currently you can only see the top 1000). In that case, you can determine your percentile on the leaderboard, which should give you an idea of where you stand. But even then, the result is most likely skewed, since there are lots of players with multiple licenses. The other way is through events. For each TA online event, there is a cutoff for reward (for example, players in the top 50% gets a sticker, and top 1000 gets a frame). At the end of the event, Sega publishes the final TA time for each cutoff. You can use that information to reverse engineer where you stand, but only around the cutoff. If you are way above or below the cutoff, all bets are off. Personally, when I look at someone's TA times, I convert those times to a rank. Roughly speaking, here's the equivalence I observed from stalking many players when I was a D.net member: 10+ platinums and above: A rank Full platinums to a few specialists: S rank 10+ specialists: SS rank 20+ specialists to full specialists: ∞ rank That said, not all Specialists/Platinums are the same (SP on Akina Snow DH is much easier than SP on Irohazaka DH), and TA competence doesn't really equate battle performance. This is just a rough guideline that I use personally. Take it with a grain of salt. |
