Brake and charge light? Check your altenator. Did the brakes themselves still work fine?

Did they just instantly come on, or fade on? If they faded on, it's more likely your charging system.

If your brake system went, just swap in a non-ABS system and call it a day.

It's not hard. You drain all the lines, swap out the valve box and possibly some of the lines, and pull the ABS computer if you don't want the light on, and you should be set.

EDIT: It's like a 3-4 hour job on my car, with SS lines as well.
