Best 20 of Super Eurobeat - Fan-Made Mixed Compilations Series


Hello all and welcome to my new compilation series. I briefly talked about some time ago of a new mix. Well, here it is. It is part of what's going to be AT LEAST 23 volumes long. Well, as long as SEB is running, this series is going to run too! All downloads includes artwork and better resolution cover. Each mix is available in split and one-file+cue. But, No MP3s (or any lossy formats).

First of all, I want to say "Thank You" for making this project. Even if it will take a lot of time, I'm already excited to listen to volumes which contain songs of 2008+ since I'm a fan of the "newer sound". I also like old Eurobeat but you know what I mean.

I haven't had the time to listen to your mix by now, but I'll download it in a few minutes. I'll give you my opinion after I've listened to the mix. smile.gif

I love this mix! You even picked some of my favorite favorites for your mix! I love the tracklist. The transitions - which are in my opinion the most important part in a megamix - were made well. Keep on making more of such "Good Records". laugh2.gif

I have no plans to make any Youtube videos for these and I only plan on doing some for yearly Best Of mixes. They take a long time to make and render if I plan to make anything professional looking (or at least not an audio file slapped with an image). IF YOU MAKE ONE, credit the mix to me and link TO THIS PAGE. I understand it's the internet and I cannot stop anybody for doing so but, if you are going to, like I said, please credit the mix to me and share the link to here in the description of your video.

Added the first mix to MixCloud. It's lossy AAC 320kbps. Tried ALAC but the file wouldn't play.

Anyway, will upload Vol.2 later. Might upload other mixes too.

Yeah Avex is the only label that I know of that does the 100 track megamix. The next closest thing being That's Eurobeat The Non-Stop History (170 songs on 2 CDs) from Alfa International.

Like Avex does, yeah. If you want good mixing and editing, I can put 30 to 40 songs within 80 minutes.

I would say that the mix was actually closer to the TEB Non-Stop History structure which has song lengths anywhere from 9 seconds to almost 2 minutes. What kind of 30-40 song mix are you thinking about putting together?

I haven't been thinking about making that. It's just that if I'm making such mix, it'll be like that.

However, I'm open to the idea of making such once I'm done catching up with SEB which will take a good while.

So, you guys been wondering what I'm up to on my project? Well, to be honnest, I had Vol.3 mixed since mid-august. I finished it shortly after vol.2. However, when I was making the artwork, I lost its progress... twice because of things out of my control and are not related to my PC (ie. Photoshop didn't crash). So, making the artwork (Full cover, booklet inside, back pic, disc...) has been the major rebuttal of this release. I don't know if I should kick my own ass into finishing the artwork then release or just make the cover artwork and release the mix along. If the second option, I'm pretty much ready to release it.

Here's the tracklist while you wait for me to make a decision:

Hell that's irony for you, earlier today I finished my song list for seb non-stop history vol. 4! I'm still working on vol. 3 but I decided to binge on SEB this weekend.

I was quite surprised by Speak In English / Juliet though, I would have to say its one of my favorites of these 10 volumes behind Sledge Hammer of course. smile.gif

"Speak In English" is indeed a good track. Too bad that it got released on SEB 39 then... forgotten. It appeared nowhere else. Also, for the record, at first, I was going to use "Sledge Hammer" by King Kobra and "Domino Dancing" by Domino. But I decided against them and replaced them with the Juliet tracks. I should have cut "Extasy" too... I dunno why I went with it. It sucks balls. And I don't like Sledge Hammer and I saw that I hate it when I tried to mix it. *cue The Price Is Right losing horn* I dropped Domino Dnacing coz... that drum track is fucking ridiculous. I couldn't mix it.

Also, the tracklist are decided until the end. But I could still decide to replace a song by another for some reason. So, there's no concrete yet.

Yeah I guess I should say its more a pool of songs that I picked out, there's about 60 right now but some of those are going to be dropped quickly once I start mixing because I've heard them to death, namely Kiss Me Kiss Me Babe. How can you like a song and hate it so much because you've heard it to death at the same time!

Heeeeeeeeeey! Surprise release! Vol.5 is out!

On that note, I have to put my series on hiatus until I get a new sound card. What happen you say? Here is the gist of it. I accepted to do a simple cassette transfer job for somebody at "work" and put it on CD. So, I borrowed my friend's "boom box" and got back home with it, plugged it. I went behind my PC and plugged a male-male 3.5mm headphone jack into the line-in input of my dedicated sound card and connected the other into the headphone port of the boom box. I looked at my PC and everything was frozen. I had to force reboot. After many hours of troubleshooting, BSOD included, I concluded that my dedicated sound card decided to die after 5 years and 2 weeks of service. So, I'm stuck using my on-board sound with a 200$ pair of headphones.

So, until I get a new one, this series is on hiatus. Hopefully, Vol.5 was mixed before it happened!

Well plus I'm a little biased against the hits (or basically the songs that have been on EVERY anniversary megamix) since that's all I used to listened to for years. But of course some are too good to pass up, wait until I get to SEB 70-90 ~~Initial D~~ awesome.gif

Yup, Vol. 7, 8 and 9 will be exciting. Lots of Initial D I believe! With lots of overused tracks!
I haven't started mixing the next volume just yet. My YT backlog screams to me every day xD

I've had the track dumps for History 8 and 9 ready for weeks now but there are TOO MANY songs that I want to use. How the hell can I narrow it down to 20-25 tracks? facepalm.gif

All I can come up with is either make those two volumes 2 CD releases or make a 40-60 track mix! sad.gif

I figured it was something like that. I found that this era was severely lacking in good underused tracks so I went a little further into the mainstream songs than I normally go (but since this is the start of the Initial D era it was inevitable). I'm still dreading narrowing down the songs for Vol. 9 though! crying2.gif

Yeah there are various reasons why it took 2 months for History 8 to come out, (ie. starting and abandoning Eurobeat Destiny 2, 2 weeks of mixer's block and the 100+ degree heat we've been having everyday really slows me down) otherwise it would have been out weeks ago.

Just chalk it up to a convenient coincidence.
