Reborn: Chapter 1

Both cars shot foreword like a lightning bolt, although the gunmetal grey S14 quickly made sure that it was in front. The S14’s headlights lit up the roadway as the speeds of the two cars were traveling at, became dangerously fast. The as the first turn approached, Fumhiro made lightning fast movements, that allowed him to initiate a full on four wheel drift. As he gripped through the apex, Keisuke also drifted through the left hander, when the Keisuke noticed the lead car’s right window roll down, the driver leaned over and tossed away his cigarette. Keisuke’s face went cherry red, as he couldn’t believe that the driver in front of him had actually done this. Keisuke watched the driver roll the window back up, and heard the sound of a RB26DETT, as it shoot foreword into the night, The car slowly got smaller and smaller, came to the end of the straight, braked a little, then was out of sight. Keisuke slowed down in disbelief, how could a puny little S14 match up to his FD, so what if it had a RB26DETT, he had raced plenty of GT-R’s and none of him had ever beat him like this.

“How did he…” Keisuke said

Suddenly he noticed that he was stopped in the middle of the road, he slowly made for the side of the road, and got out of his FD, turned on the hazards.

“This makes no sense, I’ve never seen this kid before, and where did this guy come from?

Keisuke climbed back into his car and stopped at the nearest rest stop, and got a coffee. Keisuke pulled out his cell phone and called up his brother.

“Ryosuke, you’re never going to believe this…”




-The next morning-




Fumhiro rolled off his the bed slamming his head on the floor. Immediately he was awake but nonetheless dazed, he got up scratching his head as he noticed it was 7:50am.

“OH S**T!”

Lightning fast he through on his pants, black polo, and vans, but took the time to do his hair just perfectly. He fired up the gunmetal S14, the RB26DETT whined, ready for some action, slamming the throttle down all four wheels spun, but quickly regained traction and shot off like a rocket.

“I sure hope Yuichii, doesn’t care if I’m late, I mean, I hope he cuts me some slack cause he’s probably a little depressed because of the funeral.”

As soon as Fumhiro pulled into the Esso where he worked, he could notice that everyone was depressed.

“Hey Itsuki, man I sure hope you feel any better, is there anything I can do for you?”

“Naw, but thanks anyway.”

Itsuki hung his head and started mopping away at the ground staring at it as if he were in a different world. Fumhiro walked over to Iketani, noticing that he too, was feeling a little low.

“Hey, umm…Iketani?”

“Hmm? Oh sorry, I was.. Never mind. Watsup?”

“Not much, but hey, how long had Itsuki known Takumi? He seems really down.”

Author’s notes: Fumhiro is not the Fumhiro from Project D, they are two completely separate people, and I chose the name simply because I like it.

Also how do you spell Yuichii's name?

And leave some feedback or even constructive criticism if you want to.


Oh and for you guys who think im retarded i no that the s14 is rwd, and it has a SR20DET, i know what im doing, ease off

alriight seeing no1 had BOTHERED to reply for the last 5 hrs in these fanfictions,m is it me or ever since fanfictions arrived posting in this section has been starting to go down?

Anyway, ur story writing is nice Fumhiro-i think the note should be put before the story not after coz i thouhgt it wasfumhiro. Lol also, i've noticed in fanfics lately, there was been a new character in them, the new character is mysterious and some how better then all the racers they have met up with.

If you want a fanfic to appear in the pinned fanfic thread, you should PM me seeing as I'm the one who made that topic. Anyway, I'm putting it in now. BTW, continue on this fic.

Wow, 5 hours. There are multiple time zones represented on these forums, and people don't have to reply, either. What is your deal, dude? Calm down, have some patience--hell, it ain't even your thread!

As for posting going down--it's actually been since Initial D's Anime ended that the average posts in GD went down. The arrival of fanfiction has actually increased average posting quite a bit. o.O

Can anyone guess what type/whose car this is?

Chapter 2

After the Takumi’s funeral, the Esso station just didn’t seem, or feel the same. Everyone’s head were hung low, and no one said anything. When a customer came in for gas they asked the usual “What type of gas do you want?”, but there was no smile on their faces. A large group of very cutie teenage girls wearing schoolgirl outfits walked past, and no one, not even Itsuki or Iketani, looked at them. The girls walked by a little astonished that nothing had happened, they were sure that the guys were going to ask them for their numbers, but none of the guys moved. The day was seemed liked for ever.


-That night in Fumhiro’s garage-


Fumhiro lay under the lifted up S14,

“Well, this isn’t really a S14 if you think about it, I mean it has the shell, but other than that its not.”

“The whole chassis has been swapped for a GT-R chassis, everything about it, the double wishbone suspension, the AWD, the brakes, everything! Along with the chassis, the engine was swapped out for the RB26DETT.”

“It’s a good thing they didn’t notice that my car has changed, I was planning to surprise them, to be the thing that was distracting them was Takumi’s funeral….”

That’s right about when his mind started off to feel guilty, he didn’t mean to kill Takumi, and it wasn’t his fault either. It had all started last Friday, when the twin turbocharged, SR20DET, it was showing some signs of wear. He knew he shouldn’t have used it so hard before, but it there wasn’t anything he could do about it now, what had happened, happened.


-Last Friday-


“Hey Takumi you never gave me that race you promised!”

“Well, I haven’t seen you in forever Fumhiro, that’s why, the last time I saw you was during the first year of high school!”

“Well, it doesn’t change a thing, and you still haven’t raced me yet.” Fumhiro said a little peeved.

“Alright, I’ll race you, how about Saturday?”

“Hmm…That sounds good, I’ll see you on the Wangan!”


-Last Saturday-


“Hey Takumi, I’ve been waiting for a while, have a coffee.”

Takumi fumbled with it in his hands, and seeming a little dazed, dropped it.

“Umm… Takumi? Are you sure you’re ok to race me? It seems like you just woke up!”

“Yeah it was napping, but I’ll be alright, how about we start this race before it gets too late.”

“Sure line up with me on the on-ramp.”

“Ok. I hope loosing won’t make you cry Fumhiro.” Takumi said laughing.

“Oh ha-ha, that’s so funny.” Fumhiro said sarcastically.

A minute later, Takumi and Fumhiro lined up along the on-ramp, and Fumhiro motioning with his hands, started the count down.

4…

3…

2…

1…

And they were off, tires squealing urging for grip, as soon as the turbos, of Fumhiro’s S14 kicked in, he shot in front of Takumi, dodging traffic as he went, Takumi quickly followed closely drafting off of Fumhiro. As they darted between delivery trucks, taxi cabs, and slow drivers out late at night, they began to reach deadly speeds, they were approaching 140 MPH, Fumhiro quickly accelerated in front of the van, tapped the brakes, and went into a four wheel drift around the right hander, Takumi, a little surprised, as well as a little dazed as he had not fully woken up, copied his exact movements as if they were a piece of cake.

“Sweet, I thought Takumi would be a little harder than some of my other opponents, I mean he’s like Godzilla on the downhill.” After Fumhiro said this, he looked into his rear view, and a little surprised did not see Takumi behind him.

“Where is that little delivery boy? He was just behind me?” Then he looked to his left, seeing Takumi pop up out of nowhere on the two lane section of the highway, only made Fumhiro stare in disbelief.

Approaching speeds of 200 MPH, Fumhiro saw the red lights flash in his peripheral vision.

“OH S**T, IM TOO CLOSE!” Fumhiro braked hard and unconsciously swerved into the lane on his right.

Unfortunately Takumi was still right beside him.

Takumi hit the wall at 195 MPH, bounced off and went into a violent spin, abruptly ending in Takumi’s driver side wrapped around the bride support.



Takumi died on impact, at approximately 1:32 am Sunday morning, according to the coroner.

I know that the cars might not be able to reach those speeds, but whatever i'm not a perfectionist.

Nice! something a bit original. Fumihiro is the new kid in town huh. Takumi we will miss you!

Oh I'm not sure if you read the Authors notes after Chapter 1, because i just chose Fumhiro as the new characters name, not the guy from Project D

I did read your post. I guess it gets kinda confusing though with two guys of the same name. So there are two Fumihiros now.

Well no. There is a Fumhiro that works at the Esso, and there is a Fumihiro that is a part of Project D.

Spelled differently.



PS - Do you know whose car this is?

OH I get it now! I missed the i there. I think it is a impreza, but sorry don't know the driver.

Just so you know, you could have "Funhiro" possibly (though it's an awkward name), but "Fumhiro" is not possible in Japanese. The only time you can have a consonant following a consonant is if the first consonant is 'n', or if the two consonants are "sh" or "ts" followed by a vowel.

LOL. Well, i suck at japanese, mainly becuase i have never learned it.
