actually I played both versions of the Wangan Midnight game on the PS3, in the game the language is english and japanese. the english parts of the game are usually the menus, and some of the options. and with the asian version I did receive a english manual.

actually nevermind, when there is more information with this game. ill make a wiki or something.

As long as the menus at least are in English I'll be fine. Having the whole game in English (except no English voices, god no) as an option would be the best. I just don't want to refer to the English manual all the time

Well when you play the game alot you usually get use to what to press and get around the menus. So having the english book would help you for like maybe a day that it you might not even read it again since you would already get use to the menus and settings.

I know, I also memorized the Street Stage menus. But because I have relatives and friends who will eventually play it, an English story/menu/etc. option could save us a little hassle.

Even though I'll figure out what option does what, it bugs me just a little when I can't actually read it without help

Took me an hour or two to figure out the Special Stage menu when I had gotten it for Christmas a few years back. This can't be that much different.

True. I don't think us hardcore fans will have any problem finding what's what. My only problem is that my gf/cousin/friend won't be able to sit down and fire up the game without me saying "pick that, then that, then that, that's time attack and that's options" etc.

And although most (if not all of us here) already knows what's going on in the story modes enough to not need any translation, it's still kinda nice to be able to actually read something in a language we understand. I've watched the unsubbed 3rd stage movie once after watching the subbed version a lot. Although I knew exactly what was happening, I didn't get the exact dialogue.

I wonder how much space of the Blu-Ray disc the game will take up. I think Special Stage came out to about 1.4GB of a possible 4.2 GB on a DVD, and Street Stage took up about 1GB of 1.8GB.

As for the stages, I hope they're all (all, as in the Special, version 3, and version 4 courses) there. I would hate to have the stages as downloadable content purely because I live here in the US (like many of us do) and can't set up a wallet for the Japanese PSN store.

Me too. Although I'm kinda having doubts that ALL of them would be there. There's 6 confirmed courses, and a total of 11 across all the games (excluding the 3-lap Myogi and Usui). Would be nice though, I mean they can just carry the preexisting tracks over and tweak them a little

I'll cry in happiness once I actually pop the ID Extreme disc into my system smile.gif. We're supposed to get new info from Famitsu (online, or magazine, I forgot) this Friday. Hopefully they can confirm more courses/features/details.

Is there anybody who can do a translation of the magazine scan? I wonder what details it goes into. Also, here's the translated Famitsu web page:

http://www.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%...n&hl=en&ie=UTF8

Near the bottom of the page, it says this: " ※ For details, March 14, 2008 edition (released February 29, 2008) FAMI copies of the weekly check!"

It's a strange translation (I know, the online translators were never the best), and I'm trying to understand what it means. Is it saying there will be more Initial D coverage in the March 14th edition? Is it saying the March 14th edition came out on Feb 29? The wording is strange, I thought one of you guys could try your hand at cracking the bad translation.

Yes, there will be new, "more specific" info on the game on the 15th (which would be the 14th for people in the USA).

Yeah actually somebody found it a few pages back. I almost posted it too, haha.I wonder when it'll get updated.

Does Play-Asia always get their dates right? Because they posted the May-27th-29th dates a few days before the ID Extreme Stage rumors were confirmed. Famitsu lists it as coming this summer, does that May 27-29 range count as "summer" in Japan?

The reason I ask is because I forgot if the ID Street Stage (PSP) date on Play-Asia was ever pushed back or not. I wonder if the Extreme Stage dates Play-Asia has listed are just "placeholders", or are they actual release dates of the games as per Sega? I mean, they must know something, having posted it days before the rumors were confirmed.

usualy play-asia is quite accurate when it comes to release dates i would say...i guess they must have had some good source, either SEGA itself or famitsu...at least i hope it's coming end of may..now that i know it's coming i can barely wait...even though i never sought of a release that early after the release in the arcades...

So today is the 14th (15th in JP), the day more ID Extreme Stage info is supposed to go out. Where do people usually go to find out news from Famitsu?
