I know I am terrible at this whole updates thing, so here is a very short quick update.
I picked up a Gilmer pulley belt kit, a side mount alternator bracket and a Electronic water pump adapter from Extreme Rotaries.
Since its been so nice out in January of all months I finally got around to installing most of it today.
At the moment I am trying to to find a better way putting the timing marks on the new main pulley before it goes on for good.
The original FC alternator has also been reinstalled.
I've been doing some rough math 60 amps should be plenty for what very little electronics I will be running in this car.
Anyways on to pictures!!!

Why supercharger-style ribbed drive belt?

Because rotary. LOVE IT!

Basically, yeah. They rev out too quick, and even with the dual-belt setup they'll slip and snap belts. This is a sure solution. smile.gif

I've had to rescue many a fellow 13b because 1 or both (in the case of a double pulley) v belts have broken. Those that I know that have switched over to a gilmer setup have yet to lose a belt.

latest update smile.gif

Pulley has timing marks now courtesy of some nail polish.

All bolted up to the engine the alternator is sort of free floating I need to pull it to remove the power steering rack soon.

I have also reset the CAS so it is properly timed now. biggrin.gif

Nice, one of our local drivers also placed a gilmer drive belt on his FC and it sounds like a supercharger haha, I am curious, do you have data on the new waterpump? flow rates, its ability to not cavitate, or anything else?

it will make all of the noises I have an exhaust that should hopefully be arriving tommorow.

as far as the pump is concerned I plan to run this one.

http://www.daviescraig.com.au/Electric_Wat...70-details.aspx

It should be able to push about 40 gallons per minute.

One of the major things that should help it not cavitate depends a ton on pump placement idealy I will mount this right off of a frame rail as low as possible so it will always have a ton of coolant readily availble so it doesn't starve. I will also run a decent size swirl pot to assist with keeping air out of the system.

As far as technical data not a lot of guys run them here in the states so I have had to glean info from one of our local guys. He runs a 28 gallon per minute pump on his 801hp 13bre, although his setup is a bit different than mine. he was kind enough to give me a few pointers on things he would've done differently if he could redo it again.

Well my exhaust from Japan showed up biggrin.gif This should save me about 20-30 hours of fab work All thats left is to take my old down pipe and put a different flange on it to make sure it lines up.
