So I want to try and capture still images from the episodes of this anime. However, I can't find any program that does this. I know some downloadable VCD players have a built in function like this. For example, I remembered QuickVCD could capture still images but I lost that file. I've even tried SnagIt but this stupid program won't even work properly with capturing images from media files. So is it possible or what? Can I do this? |

I know if your video card doesn't have video capture capabilities then when you do a screenshot of a playing video it'll just be black. |

If you turn it off (desktop, my computer - properties, performance, graphics - none) you can then take screenshots with the "PrintScreenSysRq" key & then paste it in a digital picture editing program. Could just use PowerDVD since that has a screenshooting feature thats easy to use or even VirtualDub. |

Part of the problem of the Print Scrn button being ineffective in taking screenshots of videos has to do with layers. There's a simple way of curbing this problem. Just open up a dummy video file, in a different program, like quicktime or something. Leave it running and open the file you want to take a screenshot of in WMP. Using this method would take care of the layering problem, and should be able to allow you to take screenshots of the video image. Hopefully, it won't come out as a black image either. |
