First the Essential Collection for PS2 then the HD Collection and now this? Konami needs to stop trying so hard to cash out on old Metal gear games, just give us MGS: V

They still haven't rereleased MGS1 in HD though, so there's something.

...I don't think HD graphics would look that different on a 15 year old game though.

I really saw no difference in this "HD" releases

To me it just looks like a clear emulation of a Nintendo 64 game on a PC just without the graphics being Fuzzy and blurred out.

Sadly I bought the HD release and Played it once...got bored pretty quick

Well since it's called Legacy, I wonder if they're going to include the really old games. Like Metal Gear 1 and 2. I'm willing to pay $100-$200 for a collection of every Metal Gear that's been released.

Also, they could always make an "HD" version of MGS: Twin Snakes. Since that's never made its way to the Playstation franchise yet.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Twin Snakes either making its way to the Playstation. I don't have much incentive to play an HD version of the original MGS though.

A Twin Snakes port would not suffice, considering the dumb changes they made to the game (Snake's demeanor, just for one glaring example). Also, the MGS2 implementations made the game too easy.

Updating models for the first game, and retaining the original script would be great. I know they won't do it, but a man can dream. Odds are they'll either go with a straight port of MGS1 or just use Twin Snakes.

I agree about Twin Snakes being too easy with the MGS2 gameplay elements. I'll always prefer the original MGS over the Twin Snakes. Didn't care for all the Matrixesque acrobatics, the lighting or how they redid a number of scenes in TS.

When I saw the rereleases I really didn't feel like picking them up because honestly the only difference is a stable frame rate and no jaggies. I picked up a copy of MGS Essentials for only 20 bucks about a year ago on amazon. It's just a better option really.

Konami confirmed Legacy will have,
Metal Gear
Metal Gear 2
Metal Gear Solid
Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
Two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels

So basically it has every non-cannon Metal Gear game except Portable Ops. It's coming out on June 3rd. If it's only $60.. and you never played a metal gear before I think it will be worth the money.

Ac!d was just a cannon game, just like Snake's revenge and Ghost Babel.

Can't wait for this. I'm willing to pay to $80 tops since I already have most of these.

Oops, didn't see that until the thread was bumped. You've got canon and non-canon mixed up there. :x
