Since no fansubs group has come forward to sub Episode 2, we at Initial D World needed to do something for the fans. So we came out with our own subtitles for Episode 2. These are translated from Chinese translation, so the accuracy might suffer a little. These are English subtitle embedded as Close Captioning on YouTube. Make sure the CC icon is on to view the subtitle. One of our members on the forums also converted it to srt format that's available for download in the Official Ep. 1&2 Thread, it's useful when you have the RAW file on your computer and don't want to watch it on YouTube. Anyways, enjoy!!

Ok... now I have to say this. I would not recommend the beta translator on youtube. You can get alot of very awkward momments.
SPOILER

That tranlation is alot more better. Wow, so IDW is stepping up in the awesome power of subbing? That's amazing biggrin.gif

It's far from actually fansubbing. This is more like a quick translation. Releasing an actual fansub takes a lot more effort and it's definitely not by one person. I hope the timed soft sub inspire someone to step up and release a way better sub than this though.

ohmy.gif ohmy.gif Who's the fansub group? Are they well-known? It would be awesome if this gets translated properly. I can't believe no one picks up Fifth Stage!! The RAW for EP2 has been out for three days and it doesn't look like SAGE will sub it again. What a shame. sad.gif

VoLT wasn't referring to any group in particular. Also, be patient with Sage. Keep in mind that with a month-long gap between pairs of episodes you can afford to wait a few days for a quality sub. Seriously, guys.

And ep2 hasn't been out for three days. The 720 raw has been out for hardly one day.

Perry, you of all people should understand patience. Don't stoop to the n00bs' level. wink2.gif

Yeah, no. I understand patience alright. I timed all 354 lines by hand using just VLC player. I "guesstimated" the milliseconds part because VLC only display the time in whole second. And what I said about SAGE has no intention of subbing Episode 2 is true. The last thing they said about Initial D was that the characters look butt ugly. The editor said they believe EP.2 RAW will not come out and thus they will not do the sub.

Well, EP.2 RAW came out. Even the HD one came out. Not a word from SAGE. They don't have to promise anything, just a simple status update saying "Yeah guys, we got it, we will sub EP.2 BUT we are not giving a ETA!" would suffice. Just a simple acknowledgement really, is that really me being impatient? Or maybe I am just being realistic? If they can't even acknowledge that, wouldn't it be better to assume they just dropped the project? Having hopes up is never a good thing, learned that the hard way so many times.

So many fans are waiting for their release, I think a simple "Yes guys we will sub it sometime in the future" or a "No, we are not going to sub it anymore" will do. But I guess I am asking for too much. You know what, I'll shut up now before I sound more and more like a whining n00b.
