It would be more on the lines of taking a corner too hot or throwing your rear out in the middle of a corner. |

Sega hasnt really announced officially that the tires are being shredded/heated to dangerous levels, so its really speculation as to what boost really is. Granted, this is the assumption that makes the most sense. |

yea..tire "heated" is just used as a more logical explanation as what causes boost and penalty thanks for the explanation

Myogi.. save ur boost and play normally let ur opponent go before CP3 and catch up frm there definately win after the final 2 corners.. This post has been edited by xyeohts on Jul 1 2009, 07:26 PM |

Group: Advanced Members Posts: 2,601 Member No.: 30,700 Joined: Sep 24th 2008 Location: Philippines | Your FD has an 86? o.O I think the relative mean of your speeds has an effect on your boost; example, if I were to stay within the late late 60's and early 70's range when I run down akina, I find boost lacking. BUT if the numbers were closer together the boost picks up. |

The only thing that make me want to play IDAS5 is solely because of the boost effect..... If SEGA want to remove it or change it to some kind of penalty ie IDAS4 PC then this would make me

Why remove the boost... It's the only candle that cardless people use against us to enjoy the game and to say he can keep up... In my opinion, the boost effect DOES boost the car as well as the individuals confidence to play the game... Besides... WMMT also has boost so why let him play WT is he hates and/or thinks of boost as crap right? |

We're talking about the whole "Tire management system" that complicates the game when you go too fast in one section, you go so much slower later on. |

yea.. its kinda annoying in a way... but its there for a good cause me think... it would be better accepted if its combined with the WYSIWYG style of ver3 compared to some 'guesswork' in ID5 cos the 'ghostly' boost effect is kinda annoying many people that mainly only hardcorers are playing. not good for demographics and play population. thats the reason why Ver series and MT series pick up so fast, its easy to sit down and just pick up the basics.
