That .swf file still produces sound as normal, though. So I guess playing that .swf changed the settings on my MPC-HC? All the said videos and mp3s work fine on WMP or any other programs. What do I do now to fix that? I don't wanna re-install. Thanks in advance. ------------ Edit: When I played that .swf file again with max volume and shut that MPC-HC program down, I get the sounds back when I play the videos. How strange. :/ Just curious how it works, though. This post has been edited by Saint on Apr 16 2011, 09:55 PM |

Really? Pretty sure the edit part seems to suggest he still might have issues playing it in MPC-HC...

Nope, read again. He tried that and bam, it was working again. Problem solved. Post-edit he was only curious as to what could have caused the problem, not how to fix it. It's already fixed.

Yes, but the problem was caused by him NOT using VLC.

If VLC were flawless, I might be inclined to agree with you. Not to mention, VLC doesn't support Flash files.

Nice try. Re-read the first post. Flash files, not Flash video.

I honestly haven't used CoreAVC at all lately, what with VLC and MPC-HC's internal hardware decoders being so good. Heck, the only problem I've been having as of late is that MPC-HC's subtitle renderer doesn't seem to get placement right on some files (1080p, when displayed full-screen) unless you scale down to less than desktop resolution. VLC, meanwhile, renders subtitles flawlessly. Which is pretty ironic if you think about it.

Goddamn SWFs. That's what Swiff Player is for. |

I've seen issues with VLC rendering subs. Haven't tried any recent builds so I can't say if that is still so.
